Die Lage war groß, das Zimmer war groß und gut ausgestaltet. Der beste Teil war jedoch das Personal. Jeder Mitarbeiter war warm und willkommen. Insbesondere ging Hansol aus ihrem Weg, um sich um uns zu kümmern und uns zu helfen, einen Fehler von booking.com zu bekommen. Sie stellte sicher, dass wir komfortabel und gut betreut waren. Unsere Reise wäre nicht ohne sie gleich gewesen!

Ich habe seit März zweimal in dieser Lage geblieben. Ich habe mich dafür entschieden, dort zu bleiben. Zum ersten Mal wurde uns ein Zimmer mit unvollständigen Renovierungen gegeben. Ich konnte nicht schlafen und wollte meinen Mann nicht stören. Es gab eine Sofa, und ich hätte mich auflesen können, aber es gab einen großen leeren Raum, wo es ein Endtisch und eine Lampe hätten sein müssen. Wir konnten nicht einen Kaffee am Morgen wegen der Maschine fehlt, OK, nicht das Beste, nicht das Schlimmste. Das zweite Mal (gestern ausgecheckt) war eine Schreckschau. Ich habe auf dem Aufzug zum Frühstücksraum gehen. Ich wartete und wartete, der Aufzug tat nichts. Ich ging den einzigen Flug nach dem Frühstücksraum. Ok, nicht so groß ein Deal. Aber als ich mit meiner Tasche ging, arbeitete der Aufzug nicht. Ich wartete und wartete wieder. Ich musste auf einem Termin sein. Also, mit einem schlechten Knie musste ich meinen Sack 3 Treppen runter tragen. Ich war sehr beunruhigt, und es wurde bei der Rezeption klar. Die junge Frau am Büro sah, dass sie jemanden helfen konnte, der vor mir da war. Als wir sprachen, kam der Aufzug auf der ersten Etage. Ihre Antwort war: ”Sieh, es funktioniert, du musst nur geduldig sein:” Sie nahm meinen Taschen und als sie ging, hörte ich sie sehr hörbar sagen: ”Jesus Christus!” Als ich zurückgekehrt war, hatte ich mich beruhigt und wollte mit dieser jungen Frau ziviler werden. Ich fragte nach meinem Beutel. Sie fragte nicht meinen Namen und sie brachte den falschen heraus. Sie fragte mich, ob ich jemand anderem Namen wäre. Ich sagte nein, sie fragte dann weiter, ob es eine Vera Bradley-Beutel ist. Ich sagte nein, beschrieb meinen Beutel und gab ihr meinen Namen. Ich ging zum Rand des Zimmers und weist auf meinen Sack hin und sagte: ”Es ist da”. Sie wurde dann sehr sarkastisch, sagte gut: ”Deshalb frage ich, wie würde ich sonst wissen?”. Ich wollte ihr danken, aber bevor ich ihr sagen konnte, ”Sie sind willkommen” sehr sarkastisch” und buchstäblich die Tür zum Zimmer (sie war in mir) schlug. Vielleicht sollte diese junge Frau empathie lernen, und Kundenservice-Fachlehrung ist in Ordnung. Aber nie wieder. Das Büro, in dem ich meine Bestellung hatte, sagte mir, dass sie nichts anderes erhalten haben als Beschwerden über dieses überpreiste Hotel.

We went for a staycation at Watt Hotel Rahway, NJ earlier this year, mostly for a night to celebrate a wedding anniversary. We stayed in 1 BR Tesla suite. We had to write an email to the manager at 1am in the morning due to extremely rude, unprofessional, inconsiderate & unacceptable behavior by a front desk night duty person. We have travelled around the world and NEVER had such a bad experience at any of the Hilton hotels. So, here is what happened: When our kid went for shower, the water started to leak directly from the shower to the living area through the walls. The living area started to get filled with water consequently flooding the area. We instantly called the front desk & spoke to the night duty person, who came to check the flooding & confirmed the extent of disaster. We requested to make an alternate arrangement to which she responded almost after 20 mins. While we were waiting & exhausted it didn't make sense for us to move in the middle of night after packing all the stuff, so we requested to go along & make sure that the other room can accommodate our needs especially our child’s sleeping arrangements. She came to our room on the 4th floor only to inform us that she was NOT going to do that. She kept echoing the same thing with NO considerations, extremely rude, unfriendly & unprofessional manner. She would not listen to our concerns and didn’t know how to interact with the hotel guests. She walked out on us after saying most astonishing statements like people have been in worst situations like falling the ceiling. She gave us no choice but to stay in this room which can lead to other hazards (like electrical) due to this leak. She did not have the common courtesy to bring extra towels after the flooding/leak especially when she herself saw and witnessed the same. Further she told us that she would reach out to manager & get back but nothing! Somehow, we got thru the night. She raised her voice in front my child and wife and that’s completely unacceptable behavior with the customer especially given the situation we were in. My child was scared & couldn’t even sleep peacefully. We spoke to the manager (Mr. Raj) next morning who assured would resolve & get back to us. We never heard back from him & reached out to him recently again but there is NO RESPONSE at all.

I stayed there with my son on August 26. At around 1:20 AM, a verbal altercation happened in the room next to us and spilled out into the hallway. I called the front desk. After about 10 min, the front desk said that the situation was resolved. It was not resolved and I had to call the police. Only after the police came, the situation calmed down. I know that the hotel can't control everyone, but the hotel should take care of the situation not just say that things are resolved when not. I have travelled and stayed at many hotels in my life. I have never encountered such event before. Breakfast was below average with diluted oj and simple continental breakfast. There are many other hotels nearby. I wished I stayed elsewhere. I found out later that the hotel is near a state prison.

Upon checking in right at 3pm, we noticed the room was unusually hot. We tried to adjust the AC unit, but despite adjusting the temperature and turning to the ”high” setting, very little airflow was coming out. The heat in our room was made worse by the wall AC unit in the hallway right outside our room blowing what was clearly hot air (despite it being the middle of summer). The bathroom also smelled like a dead rotting animal or something. I called down to the front desk and asked them to switch us to a different room, and they put me on hold for quite a while. Instead of answering my call that was held, they sent a technician to the room who basically just tapped on the AC a couple times and said 'it's fixed”. Well, it wasn't, and I let him know that. In the meantime with my call to the front desk still on hold, my wife went down to the front desk at which point they tell her there are no other rooms available, and that everyone else is all checked in already. I knew that was a lie because we checked in right at the start of check in and saw no one else in the lobby. After we both argued with the front desk, they finally said they could move us to the room right above us (guess they did have other empty rooms after all), and the reason they didn't want to move us to a different room earlier was because we booked through Priceline, and that ”3rd party websites get the worst rooms”. Fortunately the new room had a working AC unit and no dead rotting animal smells, but we only got to that point of getting a new room after so much unnecessary arguing and added stress for my wife and I. The kicker is when we were eating breakfast in the morning, I noticed they have a big sign hanging up with their ”Home 2 Guarantee” stating ”We guarantee an engaging experience and clean, comfortable accommodations. If you aren't completely satisfied, let us make it right or that night's on us.” Doesn't sound like the staff is abiding to this guarantee, especially when they blatantly lie to their guests. I can't stand liars. It's so disrespectful and unappreciative for the staff here to lie to their guests. My advice: If you're staying in the area, avoid this hotel like the plague.
