There is a nearby market (.7mi), or you can take the pedestrian walking path and bike or walk to the delicious Apple Valley Mountain Village & Café (1.1mi), just 5 minutes down the road. Townsend is the doorway to the beautiful Smoky Mountains where numerous hikes, fun swimming holes, or scenic picnic spots await you. Popular spots include the Sinks (10 mi) for swimming or Cades Cove (17mi) for beautiful scenic views from your car and a picnic area too.
