KKuailemeishiderencaiDas Hotel befindet sich im Manchester Center, gegenüber dem Supermarkt und dem Stadtbusbahnhof, und es gibt gute Saisons, neben Café, Frühstücksbutik und Eisfenster, sowie Tankstellen und verschiedene Geschäfte sind nicht weit, die Lage ist sehr gut, die Landschaft ist wunderschön. Das Zimmer ist relativ groß und komfortabel. Das Fenster ist etwas klein. Das Frühstück ist normalerweise besser, wenn man etwas mehr reichhaltig ist. Die Kaffeemaschine im Zimmer ist nicht gut zu bedienen, so dass es jederzeit Kaffee, warmes Wasser und Trinkwasser im Hotelhalle gibt. Die Leitungsräume in den Etagen sind auch mit Eismaschine ausgestattet. Es ist ganz gut, hier zu leben.

GGuest UserDieses B&B war charmant. Der Gastgeber hat uns mit warmer Gastfreundschaft gegrüßt, als wir ankamen und uns um die Zimmer und das Haus zeigten. Wir hatten alle Einrichtungen, die man in einem großen Hotel erwarten würde, und wir genossen jeden Morgen Frühstück, das von unserem Gastgeber kocht. Wir werden sicher wieder hier bleiben, wenn wir nächstes in Bennington sind.

EEdwardW1984As Kimpton super-fans, my wife Cecilia and I have been to some amazing Kimpton hotels around the world (including the Fitzroy in London, Seafire in Grand Cayman, the Armory in Bozeman and the new luxury resort in Roatan) and the Taconic is right up there at the top of the list of our favorites. This place is the total package - luxurious accommodations decked out with a cozy New England bed and breakfast vibe, an amazing restaurant in the Copper Grouse and first class service. As frequent guests of the Taconic, the entire staff treats us like longtime friends and goes way above and beyond to make sure that each stay is better than the last. Special shout outs to GM Nick, guest services managers Lucretia and Ann, engineering supervisor Mike and Kristin and Brett from the Copper Grouse. The housekeeping staff is excellent as well, as they found a puzzle piece that we left behind in our room and arranged for its return. Our most recent stay in early September was absolutely amazing - as we were there to celebrate Cecilia’s birthday, the guest services team provided a generous room upgrade, a bottle of bubbly and other goodies. There’s no better place to celebrate special occasions at the Taconic and we are looking forward to our next visit during early November for our anniversary!

MMme_XQuick summary: Clean, quiet room. Wifi worked well, but many power outlets in the room did not. Complimentary breakfast was only okay. We have stayed here in the past while on our regular road trips to visit the family. Room 177 had two queen beds, good linens, and nice assortment of pillows. It is quiet and comfortable, with many of the amenities we expect of a BW property: fridge, microwave, coffee/tea maker, chest of drawers, good sitting chair, roomy desk and ergo chair, iron/board, room safe. Good TV, but it would be nice to have a printed guide so that you don't have to scroll through to find the stations you are interested in. This room looks out to a nice wooded area. We had some issues during this stay. None of the power outlets worked at the desk. So, I moved the coffee maker to the nightstand, where only one of two outlets worked. (try dealing with that when trying to power up your cellphones, ipads, etc.) The bed is comfortable with a nice assortment of pillows. However, in mid July, you don't need the duvet unless you really crank up the AC. Basic sheets and a light blanket would have been more comfortable. (We took the padded filler out of the cover, which made for a lighter cover at night.) To the good: the wifi and HVAC worked well. Weak cell signal, but that's Bennington. Tub/shower combo worked well. Shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion are provided. Excellent housekeeping. Pretty good breakfast, but some room for improvement. Fried eggs and sausage patty at breakfast. Assorted breads for toast, bagels, yogurt, fresh fruit, juices, cereals. Packaged bakery is hygienic, but basically vending machine quality -- that's too bad as there are many good bakeries in the area. The coffee is nice - strong enough - but one of the half-and-halfs from the fridge curdled in my coffee. Still, I applaud having half-and-half, rather than only having non-dairy creamer. (Take a few for the room.) The breakfast room is nice and sunny, but could use better AC in July. The location is not far from the center of town. A number of restaurants are nearby. Friendly, helpful, professional staff throughout. On-site laundry for guest use. So - we will likely think about this place again in the future, but they didn't live up to expectations this time, and may consider somewhere else next time.
