WARNING: Tempted by a holiday offer, I booked a package for a week at the Kyriad Karkonosze hotel for a family of 4 in a superior room as shown in the image below (2 single beds and a double sofa bed). Upon arrival, it turned out that we were accommodated in a 3-person room (2 single beds and one single sofa bed). In addition, there were only 3 sets of bed linen and 3 sets of towels prepared in the room. Furthermore, it turned out that the room presented on the Kyriad Karkonosze booking page is not a superior room at all (!). Since it turned out that there was not enough sleeping space for one person after our arrival, we filed a complaint. Unfortunately, the hotel staff refused to refund the reservation (over 1300 PLN). Therefore, please be careful when booking any room at Kyriad Karkonosze and make sure you have 100% guaranteed the appropriate number of sleeping places - do not rely on the photos on the website, as you may be greatly disappointed on site, as happened to us, which I wish on no one. Below I present photos of the room, which, as it turns out, is incorrectly marked as superior on the Kyriad Karkonosze hotel booking website. Ladies and gentlemen, this is not what a superior room looks like, as admitted by the hotel staff. Why then does the hotel mislead its potential customers by presenting a 4-person room for sale, and selling a 3-person room in reality?

Business stay for 2 nights. Very clean hotel, staff very friendly and helpful. Stayed in a superior room, very clean, comfortable bed. Nice bathroom, soft clean towels. Good breakfast and catered for Gluten free. Only downside was the bar closing at 10pm but I don’t know if that is a local thing 🤷🏻‍♂️. Swimming pool again very clean and the water was heated to 29 degrees.

The hotel itself is nice, modern (which is not always the best, a great-looking chair which you can not stand up from is useless), and has a a spectatular view over the mountains and the lake. Everybody was friendly, the premises were clean, but.. There is seriously not enough staff! Two bartenders can hardly serve the whole terrace at night, when it is full of people. Waiting 30 minutes for a drink is not acceptable in a 4* hotel. Even the restaurant was slow during lunches and did not have a single vegetarian dish (one was on the menu, but they didn't have it). The food we got in the end was good, so were breakfasts, dinners were the same every day (as a vegetarian I could have a salad or spaghetti 3 days in a row). The pools are too small for such a big hotel and were overcrowded all the time, only one whirlpool was working, so people were waiting. I think it is better to visit in the autumn or winter, when the weather is not as hot, there is nowhere to cool down a little, the water in the pools is heated too. I would recommend this place to people who do not expect too much, if you sometimes stay in a 4* hotel, you might be slightly disappointed. However, the surroundings is great for trips, there is a castle nearby, St. Anna's chapel, Upside down house and much more to enjoy.

Herzlichen Dank für einen nachhaltigen Aufenthalt in diesen eindrucksvollen Gemäuern. Ein besonderer Dank gilt dabei den Damen an der Anmeldung / Rezeption, die durch ihr besonders ausgeprägtes Selbstbewußtsein und ihre Kommunikationsschwäche untereinander, den Aufenthalt gravierend beeinträchtigt haben. Schade nur, dass dadruch die guten Leistungen der Service- und Küchenmitarbeiter in dem Gesamtpaket untergingen. Dieser Aufenthalt ist leider an Nachhaltigkeit kaum zu überbieten. Unfreundliche Begrüßung. Zimmer enstsprachen nicht nicht mehr dem erwarteten und auf der Homepage dargestellten Standard (waren vor drei Jahren schon einmal da und damals sehr zufrieden). Zwischenzeitlich doch einwenig verwohnt, nicht mehr so sauber und Defekte laienhaft und notdürftig ”repariert” (gerissene Fliesen im Bad, schwarze Silikonfugen in der Dusche etc.). Hinzugebuchte Leistungen (Romatisches Abedessen) gerieten trotz elektronischer Datenverarbeitung - oder bewußt wegen einer anwesenden Reisegruppe - in Vergessenheit. Daran erinnert schaute man nur widerwillig im System nach und fragte nach der Wunschzeit. Da man sich am darauffolgenden Abend erneut nicht daran erinnern konnte und uns vorschlug, das Essen auf dem Zimmer einzunehmen, haben wir darauf verzichtet und das Dinner storniert. Die Stornierung geriet dann (wie könnte es such anders sein) beim Bezahlvorgang ebenfalls in Vergessenheit. Sollten also fast 300,00 zl für ein nicht eingenommenes Abendessen bezahlen. Erklärungen und Klärung des Empfangspersonals waren nervig, da man plötzlich weder polnisch, noch deutsch oder englisch verstehen wollte oder konnte (was bis dahin problemlos möglich war). Letztendlich wurde großzügigerweise auf den Betrag verzichtet. Vielen Dank auch dafür. Werden dieses Hotel garantiert weiter empfehlen, wissen nur im Moment nicht wem. Umgebung, Restaurantleistungen (wenn auch übersichtlich) sowie Frühstück waren gut. Sollte man also zu gewissen Abstrichen bereit sein, auf zusätzliche Leistungen verzichten können, über einige Dinge hinwegsehen und mit dem Mißmanagement leben können, dann durchaus OK, obwohl in näherer Umgebung mehrere Unterkünfte zu finden sind, die im vergleichbaren Preis-Leistungsverhältnis mehr zu bieten haben und besser geführt zu sein scheinen.
