Great motel. Manger was very obliging and helpful. Room was clean and tidy. Would stay again. Beds clean and comfortable. No room service but that was OK. We only stayed 2 nights. Pleased with everything and not that far to see my family. Air con came in handy.

Die Gastfreundschaft füllt in Matamata im Pferd und Jockey Inn. Ein warmer Willkommen, hilfreiche Menü-Anregungen, großzügige Teile von süßen Pub-Essen in einer entspannten Atmosphäre. Die thailändische Salat war gemahlen mit einem gemütlichen Hühnchen. Eine angenehme Abendessen.

Die Frau im Büro war sehr gut und hilfreich, und bot einen Vorschlag, die Kabine, die ich hatte war sehr sauber, und die Vorderfenster waren offen, um Luft durch sie sehr gut zu ermöglichen. Das ganze Lager aus der Wohnung war sauber und teuer.

What a great place to stay! Sue, the owner, is so welcoming and really went above and beyond. The house is absolutely beautiful and so are the grounds. I took dozens of photos. The gardens are filled birds singing and beautiful flowers. The room itself was beautifully decorated and had an extremely comfortable bed and very nicely decorated ensuite. This is a wonderful place to stay a romantic getaway. Sue is also a great cook! The very large breakfast she made for us was fantastic. I highly recommend a stay here!

The 7 of us had a lovely stay at the hotel, it is a historic hotel so not really many mod cons like you'd have at a city motel, like air con, sky tv and the modern room services, but the staff were amazing and they were very short staffed, and most staff were on duty from breaky to close. The food was to die for, I think over the 4 days we tried at least 1 of everything and it was all 10/10 A free continental breakfast is available to guest, and each morning there were delicious surprises for the guests, which had you guessing each day what it would be, and hoping for donuts The cabins were kept very nice, clean, warm and towels were serviced daily, a few things had been removed from the room but on request we were given replacements, such as fan (it was 24c), a hand basin plug and a missing tv remote, each cabin had its on spa pool which we had on cold as it was refreshing, coffee/tea were available also but no milk. On the grounds there is a camping ground, tennis course (rackets available) , 3 thermal spring pools, a 9 hole golf course (clubs available to hire) a bar area with a cool jukebox, outdoor cafe/restaurant area, indoor restaurant and internally there were lots of comfy rest areas to sit and chill or play chess/drafts or read and books were also available. I'd recommend this place to all, it was def a great venue for our group to spnd new year, we would go back for sure, and the staff made it the experience it was, thank you each and everyone of you

Wir genossen die komfortablen Unterkünfte und die idyllische Lage, übersehen einen erstaunlichen, grünen Tal mit niedrigem Kühen. Unsere Gastgeber, Shona und David, waren warm und willkommen (unbeschadet unserer recht späten Ankunft) und waren sehr nett und während unseres Aufenthalts zu unterkunft. Kauri Lodge befindet sich in einer hervorragenden zentralen Lage für einen Besuch der Waitomo Höhlen, Rotorua und Lake Taupo, unter anderem interessante Reiseziele. Wir empfehlen Kauri Lodge für alle, die nach einer Haus-, rustikalen, Bauernhof-Erlebnis suchen. Danke, Shona und David!
