Immer wieder besucht seit dem Neubau vor wenigen Jahren. Immer noch wie neu. Wie so oft bei Van der Valk, abseits der Stadt und direkt an der kaum befahrenen Autobahn. Vorne und Hinten wirklich ruhig. Sehr geräumige Zimmer mit geteilten Balkonen. Fenster zu öffnen, gute AC. Bad und WC getrennt. Alles sauber. Erstklassige Betten, Kissen und Decken, die - allesamt - sogar zum Kauf angeboten werden, was angesichts der Qualität sogar durchaus überlegenswert wäre. Super freundliches Personal in allen Bereichen. Parken kostenlos. Absolut hervorragendes Frühstück. Insgesamt unbedingt empfehlenswert. Leeuwarden soll hier nicht bewertet werden, ist aber sowieso Klasse.

The hotel was very clean, and situated in a convenient place! I really began to appreciate the lengths that folks in The Netherlands go to to keep their business operations sustainable as well. Gorgeous town with lots of friendly people. I fell in love with the place. I would definitely go again, and choose this location to stay in. The view from my room was very pretty, as well.

Ein modernes gut ausgestattetes Hotel mit freundlichem Personal, gut geeignet als Standort für den Fahrradurlaub. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und komfortabel. es ist ein Indoor-Fahrradraum mit ausreichend Steckdosen vorhanden. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist reichhaltig und gut, es wird laufend wieder nachgefüllt.

Sehr freundliches Personal. Boden empfangen von der Stadt. Auf dem Zimmer Kaffee und Tee, aber auch Frischgetränk vorhanden (kostenlos). Verfahren für den Parkplatz lief reibungslos und Kundenorientiert. Kurz gesagt: Es gibt viele Hotels, die hier noch ein Beispiel nennen können.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer fest gebucht und haben bei der Ankunft festgestellt, dass im Zimmer keine Klimaanlage installiert war und die Fenster sich nicht öffnen ließen. An der Rezeption stellten wir fest, dass ein Großteil der Zimmer so ausgestattet sind und man uns kein anderes Zimmer geben kann. Die Vorabbezahlung wurde problemlos zurück erstattet und wir haben ein anderes Hotel gefunden Die Diskussion mit den Mitarbeitern war jederzeit angenehm und wertschätzend. Das Hotelgebäude ist sehr schön und gut gelegen. Die Zimmereinrichtung war, abgesehen von der fehlenden Klimaanlage, gut.

Pleasant hotel, however without doubt the worst customer service I’ve experienced. I initially booked via booking.com where no upfront payment was required. I had to make an amendment to the booking and cancelled booking.com and booked Direct with hotel. I was travelling with my wife for business and to meet with Dutch colleagues at the hotel. On arrival at the hotel, I was informed they had 2 bookings for me. I advised this was a mistake and the receptionist told me that it was ‘no problem’ and the second room would be cancelled. The next day I received an email cancellation with an invoice for the 2 nights which had been taken from my company credit card. I explained that the booking was an error but the response inferred that I was lying and had booked the room for other unknown guests. Had I have known I was being charged for the room, I would have found someone somewhere who could have used it. Eventually after some e-mails I was offered a refund for the 2nd night on the basis that the hotel wasn’t full that night. I asked for a manager to review the situation and for refund to be credited back to card I paid with. I have received no further communication from the hotel or any refund. I spoke to my bank who advised the hotels position was that 2 bookings had been made and were therefore chargeable despite e-mails to contrary re refund for 1 night. I have stayed in a number of hotels in The Netherlands for business and never experienced such poor service. On a plus point, the hotel is quite nice and is in a nice town, but will not be visited again by me.
