Hotel Brull is located in a nice small village between the hills of southern Limburg and a great starting point for cycling or hiking through the area. The exterior is amazing, with 3 different terraces, so always sun and a nice view. The people from the hotel are super kind and helpfully. Breakfast was more then enough, and eventhough we had to deal with corona measurements it was possible to eat at your room or outside on the terrace. We had a Deluxe room which was spacious. I've read complaints about rooms not being sounds proof but that was minimal. The building is dated from 1700 something, so we call it (sound/noize) the charms of such a historic building! Wir hatten für eine Nacht eine Suite mit Arrangement gebucht. Das Hotel liegt sehr ruhig im Grünen und ist umgeben von einem herrlichen Schlosspark, der zum Spaziergang einlädt. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Nachdem wir unsere Sachen in der, zwar etwas kleiner als erwarteten, aber dennoch schönen Suite verstaut, uns etwas frisch gemacht und auf dem Balkon ein Glas des bereitgestellten Proseccos genossen hatten, waren wir im Bistro eine Kleinigkeit essen. Hier waren wir sehr zufrieden! Am Abend gab es im Rahmen des Arrangements ein 3 Gänge Menü im Kasteel, wo auf Sonderwünsche sofort problemlos eingegangen wurde! Das Essen und auch die Weine waren sehr gut und der Service war absolut aufmerksam! Die Suite ließ sich sehr gut abdunkeln und der Schlafkomfort war gut. Am Morgen konnten wir dann im Kasteel das wirklich umfangreiche und leckere Frühstücksbuffet genießen, hier gab es eine sehr große Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken! Alles in allem ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt in toller Umgebung und sehr gutem Service!

Schwierig zu beschrieben aber für mich ist das Haus ideal für grössere, stilvolle Hochzeiten bei der manche Gäste weil sie von weiter anreisen auch übernachten können. Und weil man nicht immer Hochzeiten hat werden die Hotelzimmer auch unter der Woche ”vermietet”. Gut, ich war nicht wegen einer Hochzeit da, sondern einfach nur weil ich in der Nähe zu tun hatte. Diese Tage war das Wetter sehr gut und damit hat der Garten und das Haus im besten Lichte. Das Zimmer welches ich bekommen hatte war im Keller und der Weg dorthin nicht ganz so schön wie im ersten Stock aber das Zimmer war schön und gross. Das Bad gigantisch und das WC separiert ohne Waschbacken, was ich eher befremdlich fand. Manchmal sind die Hände nicht ganz so sauber, aber ok. Alles war in Ordnung und nett anzusehen, also Zimmer mehr als in Ordnung. Ebenso das Frühstück, gut und ausreichend. Aber dennoch so fand ich es kleinen Detailschwächen, das Brötchen zwar gut, aber eindeutig aufgebacken und dass kann ich am Wochenende noch verstehen aber nicht Dienstags. Obst gab es aber nur frische Ananas und ”Obstresteverwertung”, also Obstsalat. Keine Melone, oder Beeren etc. Das ist jetzt zwar ein Nörgeln auf sehr hohen Niveau, ist mir aber aufgefallen vielleicht deshalb weil ich den Eindruck hatte man wollte einen perfekten Eindruck erwecken. Und trotzdem sehr gutes Haus vor den Toren Aachens und immer eine Empfehlung wert.

We stayed here for a night and it’s basic and fine. The breakfast just had the necessities like some eggs, bread, cheese, ham, etc. but it was good. They also had a nice coffee machine so if you want to drink a cappuccino you can! While the breakfast area was small, it was enough to seat quite a few guests. When we arrived (I believe it was around 8:30am) there were tables that were not cleared yet and during our breakfast only one of those tables was cleared and cleaned which is something they could improve so the guests don’t have to stare at trash all the time. The room did not have a fan or an airconditioning, which is fine, but we also could not open the windows at night because they did not have screens and there were quite a lot mosquitoes and other unwelcome guests waiting to get into our room. The windows were also extremely dirty which is quite disgusting since they open inwards. The beds were clean and the mattress was soft and surprisingly comfortable! The bathroom had soap and showergel/conditioner attached to the wall and the showerhead was small but powerful. For the elderly there was a chair in the shower so you could sit down. The towels were clean and there were two shower towels per person. (the smell in the room also gave away a lot of elderly stay there) The surroundings of the hotel are beautiful so for people wanting to cycle or hike its perfect. Outside the hotel is a seating area where you can drink something. The seats were comfortable and there was plenty of shade. While you drink your cold beverage you can enjoy the view of a small lake and fountain separating the hotel from a main road. We read online this was a 2 star hotel but it was worth 4 stars. In our opinion everything was fine but compared to other 2 and 3 star hotels we stayed at it is definitely not worth 4 stars. Definitely a hotel to consider for an event so you basically only have to sleep there.
