YYoufugui2017Sehr gutes Hotel, perfekter Service. Sie können fast im Hotel übernachten, ohne das Haus zu verlassen, und den Strand, die Wellen, den Sonnenuntergang, Wasserspiele und alles genießen. Einziges Manko ist, dass das Hotel alt und dürftig ausgestattet ist. Am ersten Tag war das Waschbecken undicht und der Fön ging kaputt. Am zweiten Tag war das gesamte Hotel vom WLAN getrennt. .

GGastnutzerErstens ist die Umgebung sehr gut und die A**osphäre eines privaten Strandurlaubs ist voller A**osphäre. Aber! ! ! Das erste ist, dass die Dekoration relativ alt ist, schätzungsweise 20 Jahre alt. Ich habe gesehen, wie in einem Raum daneben eine Decke herunterfiel und Arbeiter sie reparierten. Dann kam der Punkt: Das Zimmer war in einem schlechten hygienischen Zustand und es gab Bettwanzen! Und man kann es nicht sehen, also kann man es überhaupt nicht verhindern! Ich blieb zwei Tage hintereinander, als ich am nächsten Morgen von einer Sandmücke gebissen wurde. Ich ging zur Krankenstation und trug eine Salbe auf Ich blieb den ganzen Tag im Zimmer, ohne es zu wagen, nach draußen zu gehen. Es gab neue juckende Beulen am Körper, an den Oberschenkeln, am Nabel und an anderen Stellen, die offensichtlich anders waren die von Sandmücken gestochenen Beulen! Als ich also eine Rezension las, in der es hieß, es gäbe Ungeziefer im Hotelzimmer, hieß es in der offiziellen Antwort, es handele sich um Sandmücken, was die Öffentlichkeit nur verwirrt! Der Fehler ist, dass die Zimmerhygiene nicht gut gemacht ist! Shangri-La hat wirklich die Kraft, mich zum Aufhören zu überreden, und ich werde nicht wiederkommen! !

GGastnutzerWir übernachten immer im Capital Hotel, wenn wir in KK sind, besonders wenn wir Suria und Wisma Merdeka besuchen wollen, das ist nur ein kurzer 5-minütiger Spaziergang. An den Wochenenden ist es auch ganz in der Nähe des Nachtmarkts usw. in der Gaya Street.

GGastnutzerIch landete am frühen Morgen in Kota Kinabalu, verließ das Land reibungslos, schnappte mir das seidenweiche Hotel und buchte ein vorübergehendes Hotel zum Schlafen. Die Erwartungen wurden übertroffen und der Aufenthalt verlief reibungslos. Die Fahrt mit dem Taxi vom Flughafen dauert etwa 10 Minuten. Es ist ziemlich ruhig, der Fluglärm hört man erst gegen 6:50 Uhr morgens. In diesem Preis sind auch zwei Frühstücke enthalten, was im Vergleich zu Resorts definitiv nicht schlecht ist. Es ist eine gute Wahl für einen vorübergehenden Zwischenstopp. Gleich gegenüber der Überführung vor McDonald's und auf der anderen Seite der Oststraße liegt Daqilai. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist recht hoch.

Looking forward to come back again next week. Hopefully get the same room again. Parking quite full on Sunday. But luckily I'm checking out on Sunday. Everything is good 😊👍

LLimDer einzige Grund, warum ich hier blieb, war, weil es in der Nähe des Flughafens. Alles andere ist gut in Erfahrung, außer ich wurde mit Haftungskosten RM10 für das Boden eines Stücks ihre Handtücher verhängt. Die Bodenbearbeitung geschah, weil ich nach dem Regen draußen ging und mein Fuß in einen Schlammplatz kam. Ich kam wieder in mein Zimmer und ich trat versehentlich auf den Handtuch. Ich musste ihr größtes Zimmer für 4 Pax reservieren, weil das die einzige verfügbare war, obwohl ich allein blieb. Angesichts der geringen Besatzung für dieses große Zimmer, ein Stück Handtuch verglichen rechtfertigt nicht einen Haftungsschäden RM10.

TL;DR: This place feels more like a meditation centre than a hotel, it will not provide you with supplements. It's a bare room. You need to bring toothbrush&paste and buy drinks somewhere as it is not provided. No tv and fan. No in-house restaurant. There are mosquitoes at the garden near afternoon, and the balcony at night, but there are no insects in the room (family room). In exchange you will get a very clear and vivid Mt Kinabalu view in the near-dawn morning (where there is no mosquito), a working shower with heater, concrete floor that reduces nearby noise, and cold foggy experience.
Long:
This place is within the fog path so you will get the foggy experience. You can also see Mt. Kinabalu at the right time and it looks quite close (e.g. dawn 6 a.m.). You can even see the electric towers and resthouse, it's that close. Moreover, this place is more like a meditation centre than a hotel. It is visibly run down probably since covid as that is also when the in-house restaurant got closed down. Considering my experience as a recurrent visitor of Kundasang, mosquito has always been the least of my concern. Somehow this place has lots of them. We got bit quite a lot in a short span of time.
Undesirable / Cons:
-No water kettle, no supplements (water bottle, coffee pack, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.). Porcelain mugs are provided though
-No in-house cafe/restaurant but nearby has a few (400 meters at least)
-No tv, no fan but cold in general
-Quite a lot of mosquito and moths outside at the garden place in the afternoon and at the balcony connecting the 2 buildings at night. There are no electric zapper.
-Seems a bit run down at the garden. 2 broken board pieces on the floor for example.
-It has no Qibla for muslim people, at least in family room
Desirable / Pros:
-Big room. Not smelly
-Is cement board floor
-Big single beds. Not smelly
-Clean bed. Fluffy cover.
-Water heater is working for family room at least
-Relatively clean inside room and at reception. No insects in room. No weird bugs around.
-Has a table and chairs in room
-Lots of electrical port
-Wifi provided by hotel is strong (2.4Ghz and 5Ghz
-Very near main road. So good road going towards the hotel
-Aki-Aki trail starting point is nearby. Plan to go next time so no experience as of this review
This place is not too bad. Not too good either. Personally, I wouldn't place this as my top place for the foggy and view considering other options but I don't mind returning if necessary. It will sure be much much better to highly recommended with much needed renovation and have some methods to deal with those mosquito.
p.s. There's a cute puppy that invites you at the entrance. 😂
