Service: gut Ausstattung: gut Umgebung: gut Dass die umliegenden Geschäfte besser laufen, hat einen Grund: Ich bin heute Morgen um 6 Uhr aufgestanden, um den Sonnenaufgang zu beobachten. Schon wurde der Strand gesäubert, und dann dauerte es 20 Minuten, bis die Mitarbeiter des Nachbarhotels einer nach dem anderen zur Arbeit kamen.

Die Lage des Hotels ist schön, mit exklusivem Blick auf das Flussufer, das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit, freundlich und hilfsbereit bei allem, was wir brauchten. Der Infinity-Pool ist ziemlich groß und bietet eine atemberaubende Aussicht. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt genossen und würden auf jeden Fall bei unseren zukünftigen Reisen dort übernachten

Dies ist ein einzigartiger Ort. Sie können das Resort mit dem Boot erreichen, was sehr schön ist. Das Resort bietet eine gemütliche Atmosphäre und selbst wenn alles ausgebucht war, hat man nicht so viele Leute gesehen. Der Strand ist fantastisch und Sie können sich Ihre eigene Villa mit privatem Pool aussuchen. Das Personal ist sehr professionell und immer für Sie da. Sie führen einige soziale Nachhaltigkeitsaktivitäten durch, wie das Pflanzen von Bäumen oder den Besuch der örtlichen Grundschule und des Kindergartens und das Überreichen von Geschenken. Sie unterstützen die Einführung eines Systems, damit die Kinder in der Schule Trinkwasser haben. Das Engagement des gesamten Personals in der Gemeinschaft ist fantastisch.

Generally it was a pleasant experience of staying here. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the location was great, breakfast was good and the room was spacious and quite cozy. There were some minor issues like quite old and worn towels, some misunderstandings with transfer to the pier, etc. The restaurant was also pretty good, but it’s noticeably overpriced (and that’s why wasn’t popular among the hotel’s guests). It’s recommended to go to a restaurant or a bar at one of the neighbor hotels, where there is life music, fireworks, fire shows and also nice local and western food at way more affordable price. As for the beach, it’s clean and shallow, with white sand, however it was windy most of the time we spent on the island. I’d recommend to walk for about 15-20 minutes to the opposite shore of the island (Lazy Beach - see the photo) and enjoy calm and very clean sea, with yellow sand and lovely beach restaurant/bar. Lazy Beach is totally free of charge (no sun-beds or umbrellas there however you can find enough shade under the big threes at the beach).

Nice room with great bathroom with tub, semi-outdoors. The resort is very pretty with lots of lovely day-beds but they should have waiters coming round for food and drinks orders, which would be perfect. Decent restaurant but it’s dead in the evening since they don’t bother to make the bar up with candles or music and everybody therefore goes to nearby restaurants and bars instead. Beach is quite nice in this area and they leave it quite natural.

Das Zimmer ist sauber und hat einen großen Raum. Der Außencampus ist auch groß mit großen Parkplätze. Während der Pool nicht so interessant ist.

Das neue Hotel ist sehr komfortabel, sehr komfortabel, alle Zubehör sind sehr modisch, die Badezubehör sind neue Arten, sehr gut. Kaffee ist kostenlos, das Wasser im Zimmer ist auch sehr groß. Schalter sind sehr persönlich

We were unfortunate to travel during low season, which in Koh Rong means 99% rain everyday, by conversations with locals they are fully aware of this yet all bookings and activities are business as usual but cannot be enjoyed, such as snorkling, BBQ boat etc. because of the weather we were stuck in the hotel 90% of the time, there is NO TV (it does say in room amenities, I read too late) so just be aware, specially if travelling with little ones. The pool is not an option because of thunder and lighting. It costs 15USD to get to the hotel from the pier. There is no ATM on the island only one stall that lets you use your card to pay the local then they give you the money, this is charged at 8% 😡 This is important because for lack of internet connection you cant always use card to pay at restaurant for your lunches and dinner, also when you can, there is a 3% fee to do so. All activities must also be paid in USD but old rugged bills are not accepted even if they have been given to you by other traders ib the island or if the bills got a bit wet in the rain, which was a frequent problem.So come with plenty of new dollars or you'll find yourself stuck with little options. the night before check out, we asked the staff to please let the ferry company know we would be taking the 9:30am ferry to Sihakouville (as instructed by the ferry company). We booked a 9:00am return trip to the pier as recommended. However as we arrived the ferry was leaving, at 9:15. We were not the only ones left behind. Some people had a flight to catch later that day and were made to pay another 17USD per person as according to them it was ”impossible” to fit them into one of the almost-empty-boats of one of the other many ferry companies, because they dont work together, some families payed up to 70USD to not miss their flight despite it not being their fault. The hotel was standard, for a beach hotel, nice huts, the beds were clean and comfortable and the highlight was definitely the food at the restaurant, over the 4 days, we tried many dishes all of them delicious. I can imagine during sunny season it must be a beautiful location and a beautiful hotel. saying this, I already thought it was overpriced for low season compared to similar hotels in Thailand and Bali, so for me the price you would pay in high season I would not consider it, specially given the whole experience with the ferry and USDs. ☹️
