I had an amazing time in Kyoto, and this hotel made it even more special. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and they gave us many compliments. The hotel had a beautiful design and the room was very relaxing and cozy. I felt like I was in heaven when I rested in the room. It was one of the best moments of my trip to Kyoto. The hotel was also conveniently located, only 2 km from the famous Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka streets, and not far from Kyoto station. The breakfast was delicious and fresh, and we also enjoyed the light meal. I loved everything about the room, the bed, and the design. It was perfect.

Das Hotel ist zehn Minuten zu Fuß vom JR-Bahnhof Kyoto entfernt und den ganzen Weg, um die japanischen Gebäude zu sehen, kamen bald an. Es ist etwa 15 Minuten von den großen Bussen entfernt, nicht etwa eine halbe Stunde. Akzeptabel. Der Hotelservice ist super, das Black Hair Beef im Erdgeschoss ist super, der Service ist auch sehr nett, man kann a la carte bestellen, am besten vorab beim Check-in buchen. Gegenüber dem Hotel befindet sich ein Ramen-Restaurant. Kinder in Villen mögen es sehr.

房間不錯，酒店環境很好，設計風格是日式和現代相融合。早餐自助不算驚艷，但有一些特別菜單，也挺不錯，推薦嘗試菜單上的菜品。
但有兩個問題：1、訂酒店的時候直接在攜程上訂的，後面發現攜程上的價格和其他網站提供的價格存在較大差異，和攜程交涉后，攜程同意給我補償差價（後續收到攜程的補償差價后，我加補充）攜程也承認是他們的日本代理的價格提供的問題，希望攜程能找更好的日本代理，並能給攜程會員提供更有競爭力的價格。
2、酒店默認的床墊是歐美旅客喜歡的很鬆軟那種，不太適合我們家人。第一天晚上半夜2點多，我太太腰直接疼醒，後面時間也挺晚了，也為了不打擾我和孩子休息，那晚上她在地板上睡了一夜。和酒店溝通，第二天換了更硬的床墊。最後一天早餐，在餐廳遇到了general manager，她詢問我們的住店情況，我們將床墊的事情告知了她，在她的主導下，最終得到了的解決。

我訂的是豪華景觀大房，但看到的八阪塔還是只有一點點，看來只有八阪塔套房是可以看到比較好的景觀，透過攜程秘書代定八阪鐵板燒是非常超值的，套餐約2萬-3萬日幣但可以坐擁日落八阪塔景觀，實在太值，但楓葉季價格縱使提早十個月定價格還是偏高的。除了貴沒毛病啊🥹🥹

This is the second hotel I stayed in Kyoto. Before going to Aman, I read some of posts here that the service was bad. I then quite regret to make a room reservation though I was impressed by the photos and posts from website. Besides, I had a bad first impression toward Aman Kyoto as they replied email for at least 3 days. This is not acceptable for such hotel with high room rate. When I arrived the hotel for the first day, I was quite surprised by the service. The hotel staff load my luggages from taxi efficiently and sent them to rooms directly. Then I was guided by another staff for check-in. She served me and my child a cup of green tea. This green tea is very special. Its taste is green tea but has a floral smell. My kid and I were very impressed. Unfortunately, I forgot to buy one before leaving. Then we went to Living Pavilion to have lunch. After lunch, our room was ready and a staff took us to the room and introduced us the facilities. The room is spacious, even the bathroom. We stayed in room 楢 . It is near the Living Pavilion, hotel’s restaurant. It is quite quiet. For our staying of two nights, we almost had dinner in room. The Udon noodle tastes good. My son ate it in lunch time and two dinner time. The hotel also provides welcome desserts for every night. First night is dried persimmon and the second night is chocolates. The chocolates are very very yummy. I tried the spa massage for two times. It is really good. As only me and my son in this trip, he couldn’t use the complimentary onsen. I then paid for a private onsen. It is very comfortable. The room’s pillows are very hard. My kid and I didn’t have a good sleep. We asked the front desk to give us a softer one for second night. It still doesn’t fit for me. Thus I didn’t sleep well during my stay. The breakfast had three choices: Western, Japanese and wellness. We tried western and Japanese breakfast. Both are delicious. Especially French toast in western style and porridge in Japanese style. The taste is unforgettable. The hotel environment is very comfortable. It is far away from the city. Only trees and grass around us. Everywhere has fresh air. It refreshes me. If the bed and pillow fit me, it will be perfect. We also had lunch in Tak-An restaurant. The food is good. The staffs are very nice and kids-friendly. They are very tolerant to kids. The check-out process is also very smooth. Everything is well-prepared, even our luggages. We booked a transportation to the Kansai Airport through the hotel. The driver is nice.

Die Lage ist sehr bequem, nur weniger als 100m vom Bahnhof Gojo (eine Haltestelle von Kyoto), kurze Spaziergang bis Bushalte auch. 24 Stunden Udon Shop, Soba Shop, McDonald ist in der Nähe. 100 Yen Shop neben Bushalte. Tageshaushalt, freundlich und hilfsbereiter Front Desk, liebe ich die Küche, wo ich Obst waschen/bereiten kann, Sie können Lebensmittel mit der Mikrowelle, Münze mit Waschmaschine betrieben auf B1 erwärmen. Ich habe unseren Aufenthalt bis zu 5 Nächte im Hotel ausgedehnt. Wird wieder auf der nächsten Reise besuchen.

Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr zentral. Die Hotelzimmer sind klein, aber sehr gemütlich. Kaffee, Tee und Snacks erhalten Sie im Loungebereich im ersten Stock. Vor allem das Badezimmer mit Dusche ist sehr komfortabel. Das Wichtigste ist, dass uns ein chinesischer Kellner an der Rezeption begeistert geführt hat und ein japanisches Mädchen uns persönlich zum Busbahnhof gebracht und uns in den Bus geführt hat. Ich kann dieses Hotel wärmstens als Ihre erste Wahl bei einem Besuch in Kyoto empfehlen.

A lovely hotel. Reception staff a delightful very friendy, warm welcome and very helpful. Obviously being Japan rooms are spotelessly clean. Quiet, comfortable, compact rooms with every facility you can wish for. The location of the hotel is excellent for sightseeing in Kyoto. I most certainly will stay here again.

This hotel is incredible ! It’s brand new, rooms are very upmarket, great facilities, quality of food (breakfast needs to be experienced to be believed), gym was excellent but it is the service that is absolutely mind blowing ! We haven’t experienced anything like it decades ! The check in experience was first class, room service first class and the concierge managed to surprise us every single day - running after us with umbrellas, chasing down taxi’s in the rain, big smiles every day and they were all really nice to our 5 Year old daughter (and it was genuine) ! So, we left our passports in the room safe by mistake - they called as soon as they found them (by which time we were in Tokyo) - the hotel manager, Kiyoshi Gomamoto sent one of their staff (Kokoro) to Tokyo hi hand deliver/return our passports to us, she was a lovely lady ! We are so appreciative and will cherish the memories from this hotel ! Thank you Kokoro, Kiyoshi and everyone at Fauchon. Highly recommended !

GGriffinWir waren im Hotel Keihan Osaka und die Sauberkeit in diesem Zimmer ließ zu wünschen übrig. Wir konnten spüren, dass das Zimmer ein wenig staubig war, und man konnte auch etwas Staub in der Ecke sehen. Toilette und Bad sind zusammen, also war es nicht so praktisch. Allerdings war das Zimmer im Vergleich zu den Zimmern in Osaka für 3 Personen recht geräumig. Ich möchte noch etwas zu ihrem ganztägigen Frühstücksservice sagen. Technisch gesehen ist das Frühstück von 7 bis 10 Uhr verfügbar, aber selbst als wir um 9.15 Uhr runtergingen, saßen wir und als ich gegen 9.30 Uhr mein Glas an der Milchstation auffüllen wollte, war die Milchstation bereits leer. Ich wollte fragen, ob noch Milch da sei, und die Mitarbeiterin sagte mir „fertig, fertig“. Ich dachte, ich hätte sie vielleicht missverstanden, denn wie kann einem Hotel die Milch ausgehen, also fragte ich noch einmal, dann sagte mir die Dame, ich solle warten, und brachte eine kleine Kanne aus der Küche, aber sie verzog kein Gesicht, genau wie eine andere Dame. Sie füllte mein Glas, während sie Japanisch untereinander sprachen... Das fühlte sich ehrlich gesagt nicht gut an, als würden sie mir direkt ins Gesicht Kommentare abgeben und ich verstehe sie nicht, LOL, aber die Rezeptionisten waren wirklich freundliche Leute und sie konnten Englisch viiiiiiiel besser verstehen als die in Osaka, also war es sehr einfach, sich zu verständigen

GGuest UserMy friend and I arrived at the hotel early in the morning. The staff was nice and kept our luggage for us so that we could go out and explore the beautiful city of Kyoto. First impression, the exterior looks very Kyoto-esque, and the interior has a little hint that the brand is from Thailand. We got a room on the basement floor, which at first felt a little weird, but it was nice, clean, and had a window that allowed us to see the sky and get some fresh air. There was no moldy smell at all, which was a relief. Also, we spent most of the day outside anyway. Room is as cozy as the name suggests in the booking and it is super clean. The size is standard for Japan, with a smart design that includes normal-sized luggage storage under the bed. Bed is soft and the linens are clean. Only weird thing at first was that the sink is separate from the bathroom. But on second thought, maybe that's a good thing; one person can take a shower while another can brush their teeth. The shower room has a standing shower with great pressure and temperature control, but no bathtub. The amenities smell good, and the towels are good quality. Surprise! The free WiFi internet is super fast. I was able to back up 100 photos and 10 videos with no problem. Location: The hotel is in the middle of two underground train stations, so you can get in and out easily by walking for 3-4 minutes. However, for the first day, especially when you have a lot of luggage or big oversize luggage, and if you don't want to go around crossing the street looking for escalators or elevators, it's better to take a taxi. The hotel and Kyoto station are not too far apart at all. I know that taxi rides in Japan are rumored to be expensive, but it's up to you if you want to save your bag or your back. After you are free from your luggage, you can even walk 5-8 minutes to the shopping street or even 20-30 minutes to the famous Kiyomizu-dera Temple, which we did after recovering from 10 hours of sitting at the airport and on the flight. Since Kyoto has a lot to explore and there is great food out there, even food from combini Family Mart and 7-Eleven nearby, we did not try the room service or restaurant at the hotel. Sorry about that. In conclusion, this is a brand new, renovated hotel that is clean and has a nice location. I will revisit and recommend it to my family, friends, and favorite colleagues.

Münzen bearbeitete Waschbecken sind vor Ort, aber nur 2 Waschmaschinen und Trockner sind verfügbar (waschmittel automatisch hinzugefügt). Bushalter bis zum Bahnhof Kyoto und zu anderen Attraktionen/lokale Sehenswürdigkeiten sind nur wenige Minuten zu Fuß vom Hotel entfernt. Bus 9 und 50 nehmen Sie direkt vom Bahnhof bis zur Tür des Hotels. (¥230 Einmalreise). Das Hotel hatte ein effizientes System der Eincheckung mit einem QR-Code, das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Hotel war insgesamt sauber und die Zimmer waren für Japans Standard ziemlich groß. Dusche und Toilette waren erstaunlich! Kaffee und Tee/Hot Water wurden jeden Tag geliefert, Schaumwäsche werden Ihnen für Regentage geleistet, das Front Desk hatte unbegrenzte Ausstattung für Sie zu nehmen (Zähnebürste/Duschekappen/Gesichtscreme usw.) und viele frisch gewaschen Nachthemden zu tragen! Glücklich, Ihre Taschen bei der Auscheckung zu speichern, um die Stadt zu erkunden! Eine (sehr milde) Seite ist, dass die Betten die Größe eines einzeln oder ein kleines Doppelbett sind, so dass Zwillinge 4 Schlafzimmer leicht schwierig sein können, aber für Familien mit kleineren Kindern, es war gut. SShy MahadiDas Zimmer ist groß und sauber. Einchecken war fuss-frei und die Lage ist etwa 8 Minuten zu Fuß von der Bahnstation Kyoto. Das Zimmer ist beeindruckend, es gibt eine Wäschetromatt vor Ort, die sehr nützlich ist. Es gibt auch Eisen- und Eisenbahnplatte sowie Verkaufsmaschinen. Wir haben weder das öffentliche Bad noch die vielen Mangas (alle in Japan) dort gelesen. Ich werde sicher nochmal bleiben, wenn ich nach Kyoto zurückkehre.

JJet43364771338Our group of 8 stayed in a total of 5 rooms at the Kyomachiya Ryokan Sakura Uru****ei and we enjoyed our stay, thought the location of the ryokan was convenient, thought the rooms and service were good, and thought the ryokan was good value. Our experience with the ryokan started well before our actual stay as we had booked different rooms before being sure how we would use and share the rooms and so had to e-mail the ryokan to re-arrange our reservations trading rooms between members because certain rooms we had booked were already sold out. Perhaps because of the pandemic and the strong post-pandemic recovery in tourist travel to Japan, response was a bit unreliable and I had to re-send some e-mails and follow up, even sometimes using Google translate to translate my message so that it would be easier to deal with. In the end, the ryokan was able to do a relatively complicated reorganization of our reservations. The ryokan is not very large so booking well in advance is highly recommended, particularly if you are looking at one of the special rooms such as the Sakura suite or the Urushi suite or the even more unique maisonette. I had booked the maisonette for myself, which is a special two storey room with a Japanese tatami mat sleeping area on the bottom floor and a Western sitting area on the top floor with direct access to the rooftop rock garden. I enjoyed sleeping on the tatami mats with the provided Japanese bedding but must admit I found the low table and right at floor level seats difficult and uncomfortable to use, particularly if I was using my laptop. The upstairs Western sitting area came to the rescue as there is a sofa and a coffee table which were comfortable to use for work on my laptop. The maisonette is really the best of both worlds and came with additional benefits including free booking of the private bath in the ryokan and your choice of a benefit with choices including breakfast or transit day ticket. The ryokan is located about 10 minutes walk away and a bridge across from the Gion area so our group easily walked there after dropping our luggage off at the hotel prior to the standard check in time. There are lots of casual restaurants nearby and the ryokan does hand out a handy map of the area around the ryokan listing a number of restaurant recommendations. Everything seems well organized at the ryokan, check in was efficient and they have many staff of different nationalities who speak a number of languages besides Japanese and English. The ryokan stored our luggage and by the time we returned from our walk to Gion, all of our luggage was correctly placed in each member’s room. We stayed 3 nights at the ryokan but only had the ryokan offered breakfast one time. There was a choice of Japanese, Western or Continental breakfast, which has to be ordered the night before. I had the Japanese breakfast and it was the standard grilled salmon with rice, miso soup and pickled vegetables. Breakfast was fine and

GGuest UserI’ve booked for two nights in this hotel. Everything is almost perfect in the first night. The location is good, nearby the train station, a 24hr familymart in 2min walkable distance. The non-contact check in requested by the hotel through email is smooth and im okay with this arrangement. The instructions in the email are clear enough and i had successfully found the hotel and got into the room. It did look like perfect but something terrible happened in the second night. I came back to the hotel at 8:49pm and found i could not enter the room because the password was wrong. I entered exactly the same password which did work at the first night. Ive tries so many times slowly and clearly to confirm its not my mistakes if i had enter wrong password. After many times of wrong entering, the electronic lock was locked for trying. I was so desperate and sending email to the hotel asking for help, as my phone had only internet service but no phone call. Of course there was no any reply even till now, which is extremely ridiculous. Then I walked to the familymart trying to ask for help. Luckily there was three locals in the shop and one of them could speak english, they helped me calling to the hotel number instructed in the email , saying that is a 24hr number for emergency need and no one answered :) Then we google the hotel and find another number, then a japanese local answered. After communication with the staff, the three locals go to the hotel with us( they were super super friendly and helpful, thank you very much), trying to unlock the door by following the steps told by the staff in the phone, yet the door was still locked. Then the staff asked we to wait for 10 mins and someone will come. The 3 locals waited with us( AGAIN, THEY WERE EXTREMELY FRIENDLY, i cant imagine how would it end up that night without their help) Then the staff came and took only 2 seconds unlocking the door, I watched with my eyes that he did not enter the password I was given but another one, he did exactly know what was the right password. What the f was happening? Why the Password was changed? Who did that? Ive paid for two night! After opening the door, the staff just continually saying sorry and not answering my question. EVEN TILL NOW, i dont get any reply from the hotel, explaining what happened that night, it is the most ridiculous and terrible experience i ever had in my life.
