Plane deinen Aufenthalt in Fertilia

Dieses war das schönste Hotel auf unserer Reise, ich kann gar nicht die abgeschlagene Platzierung im Tripadvisor Ranking verstehen. Wir hatten ein sehr winziges Zimmer mit Meerblick, das aber sehr schön renoviert war mit neuem Bad und neuen Möbeln. Die Zimmer zur Landseite hatten noch alte Möbel haben wir gesehen. Nachts konnte man das Mückengitter schließen und mit offenen Fenster bei Meeresrauschen einschlafen. Die begrenzten jedoch kostenlosen Parkplätze waren leider alle unter Pinien und als am letzten Tag ein Unwetter war kamen die dicken Pinienzapfen auf die Autodächer, wir hatten eine größere Delle mit Lackschaden. Da kann das Hotel aber natürlich nichts für. Das Abendessen war total lecker mit schöner Außenterrasse. Innen ist alles etwas kühl gehalten wie eine Kantine, draußen ist es sehr schön. Die Kellner sind eine eingeschworene Truppe und haben sehr familiäre Atmosphäre miteinander. Der Pool ist auch sehr schön und groß. Der Strand mit den Liegen ist traumhaft und kann mit den schönsten Empfehlungen für andere Strände auf Sardinien mithalten, gasklares Wasser und feinster Sand. Dass man für die gesamte Dauer des Besuchs eine feste Liege hat ist sehr angenehm und morgens finden daher auch keinerlei Reservierungen statt. Wir hatten immer eine tolle Liege in der ersten Reihe, dafür den ganzen Urlaub abends in der letzten Ecke der Terrasse einen Tisch. Mal gewinnt man mal verliert man, ich finde es so ok für alle Gäste. Viele andere Gäste haben sich sehr über die Hochzeiten im Hotel am Sonntag beschwert, weil diese die Erholung durch einen gesperrten Pool und die Terrasse vom Restaurant für den ganzen Sonntag sehr stören würden. Wir selbst waren nur von Montag bis Samstag dort, haben aber auch die Vorankündigungen mit Sperrung per Aushang gesehen. Mit dem Auto ist man schnell im schönen Alghero. Wir hatten einen traumhaften Urlaub in diesem Hotel.

Das Hotel liegt gleich außerhalb des Ortes, der Parkplatz in der Vorsaison ausreichend unter Pinien. Am Empfang zunächst nur eine, wohl frische Mitarbeiterin, die mit dem Abtippen des Personalausweises schon zu kämpfen hatte. Dann wurden wir mit einer kurzen Führung durch das Haus zum Zimmer gebracht. Die Einrichtung abgewohnt, die Matratze gut. Die Klimaanlage haben wir nicht gebraucht. Die öffentlichen Räume des Hotels eher kahl und ungemütlich. Der Sandstrand war Anfang Mai noch dick mit Seegras bedeckt und unbenutzbar. Er ist wohl erst Ende Mai benutzbar. Angeblich von diesem Seegras kommt ständig ein unglaublicher Gestank nach Fäkalien ins Hotel. Das Frühstücksbuffet wird schon oft vor 10 Uhr ( Frühstück offiziell bis 10:30 Uhr) nicht mehr aufgefüllt, den Kaffee kann man sich selbst aus einem Automaten lassen, er schmeckt dürftig. Wir waren 1 x beim Abendessen, muss man nicht wiederholen. Ich fand die Preise in der Vorsaison schon nicht gerechtfertigt, in der Hauptsaison eine Katastrophe. Wir kommen sicher nicht wieder! Ach ja, an drei Tagen gab‘s nur lauwarmes Wasser, an einem Tag morgens nur kaltes Wasser und 1x war es richtig schön warm, das braucht man in der Hochsaison ja eher nicht. Dafür wird dann der Fluglärm mehr stören, das Hotel liegt in der Einflugschneise.

We have just come back from a week here. The room and all hotels area were always clean. The rooms are basic but are quite spacious. After one bad night due to the mattress I put a blanket down on the bed and the next day the housekeeper had put a mattress topper on the bed for us. It is located near bus stop into Alghero and the beach bus to beaches up the coast. All the staff were really friendly and most of them spoke english. My husband has coeliac disease, each morning at breakfast he was given a basket with gluten free cereal, bread, biscuits and offered croissants which were heated in the oven. At dinner the staff showed him what he could have and then gave him the option of having fresh gluten free pasta cooked so he could have the pasta dish. They also cooked meat separately if the sauce wasn't gluten free. We want to say a special thank you to Roberta and all the staff in the restaurant and kitchen for looking after him so well. We really appreciated the time Roberta spent with him each evening and translating to the other staff. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending this hotel and returning if we can.

I’d stayed in the Rina apartments, next door to the hotel, almost 14 years ago now and knew just how handy the hotel was for the beaches and it’s proximity to the old down too - a pleasant seaside walk in the evening or a short scooter ride if like me you hired a lil Piaggo. Actually with that in mind, you can make good use of the hotel’s underground parking facility as not extra charge, but i digress. You’ll see some reviews moaning about expectations of a 4 star hotel, but do keep in mind Alghero isn’t Dubai so it’s never going to be razzle dazzle. You can expect however, a very warm welcome, especially convivial staff, spotless rooms cleaned daily with a full suits of new towels, a good international mix of guests, quiet by night, and a good choice at breakfast time too if you’re not sleeping off the last nights booze and miss it. Breakfast stops at 10am. I don’t do full board. There is way to much excellent food to be had around town to be tied to one place - be sure to try Refetorrio and their sister pizza restaurant, Bella Napoli on Piazza Civica and Regina Margarita at least once. The hotel is perfectly situated next to well stocked super market, there paddle tennis opposite and a host of beach clubs, bars and restaurants on your door step. If a hire car or scooter is not your thing there’s a great bus service to beaches further afield, mugoni beach is lovely with good grill/fast food and more formal dining (you can still rock up in beach wear) options too. The hotel can also call a cab but get a price first €20 to the airport seemed expensive. So, helpful, pleasant, cheery staff with great english. Clean, airy rooms. Handy for everything. Nice end of corridor balcony with good views for this without a balcony of their own to sit and enjoy a cool ale. I’d book again. A dopo, DSM
