AayanamisloverThe location of the hotel is a little out of the way, the accommodation is nice and you can see the Aurora Borealis right outside the door. The hotel requires shoes to be removed upon entry. However there was no hot water in the shower on arrival in the evening, we arrived in December and it was cold at night but it couldn't be helped, it was a demerit.

Located in a very beautiful site. It offers easy access to all the locations along the south coast but also to the southern part of the gold circle. The staff was really polite and friendly. The room was basic but very clean. The absence of a luggage stand and a cettle were the main disadvantages.

GGastnutzerSchönes Hotel in der Mitte von niemandem, ideal für die Erlebnis Nordlicht. Zimmer war groß und gemütlich, Betten sehr komfortabel, wir hatten ein wunderschönes Essen im Restaurant. Personal im Restaurant sehr freundlich und professionell. Der einzige Nebenanblick ist ein Frühstück. Es gab keine Wahl für Nahrung und geschrotete Eier waren kalt und hart. Dies ist eine so schäme, sonst wäre es eine 5-Sterne-Erfahrung.

FfslimaiDas Haus befindet sich auf einem Feld, die Navigation ist knapp 100 m. Wir sind schon nahe am Morgen, und es ist schwieriger, den Eingang zu finden. Der Parkplatz ist nur 10 m entfernt, alle miteinander verbunden sind Schrottstraßen. Das erste Mal, dass dieses öffentliche Hotel reserviert wird, fühlt sich das öffentliche Hotel noch sehr sauber. Die Wäsche wurde auf dem Tisch der öffentlichen Einrichtungen gelegt, wo die Wäsche zuerst beendet wurde, und dann fand ich unser 10er Haus auf der Karte, die dort liegt. Es waren insgesamt 12 kleine Häuser. Es gab eine Schale im Haus, aber nicht genug um einen Schrank, das Dach ist transparent und bequem zu sehen, die Sternen und die Extreme Lichter. Es gibt genug Heizung und einen Leiter im Zimmer, die Bettdecke hat Augenbrauen und Ohrringe, und ich muss es nicht verwenden. Die Sonne ist hell, als ich morgens aufwachte. Ich wurde nicht von der Sonne aufgewacht und empfiehlt, in einer extremen Saison zu bleiben!

Wir waren eine Nacht dort, die Einzelbetten sind okay, aber echt zu schmal; die Saunas funktionierten nicht oder schlecht, die HotTubs waren eigentlich super, aber könnten wirklich sauberer sein. Alles andere absolut okay, das Essen war klasse, die Bar ist top sortiert und aufmerksam, so wie das Personal insgesamt und für eine Nacht alles genau richtig. Leider gab es irgendwann spätabends irgendwo nebenan Feuerwerkböllerei und nachts dann auch noch einen Feueralarm. Abbuchen unter Pech :-) ...

We originally booked a stay through Airbnb at “Hotel Vos” but soon received an email stating that the business had been sold and we were offered to be rebooked at “Homestay Vos.” After looking it up, we agreed to the rebooking, as the hotel seemed nice. Upon arrival at “Hotel Vos,” however, there was no one present. Despite trying to contact them the day before to ask about kitchen facilities at the Homestay, we received no response. It turned out that “Homestay Vos” is actually a staff accommodation for the hotel, with empty rooms being rented out via Airbnb. While the room itself was fine, the kitchen, bathroom, and common areas were not clean and didn’t meet the standards one would expect from a guesthouse. It was clear that hotel staff lived there, and there was no interaction or welcome from anyone. We decided to cancel our stay and contacted Airbnb for a refund, which we received. The host even offered a cancellation right away. Strangely enough, employees confirmed that this happens regularly, with the host claiming the business is sold and offering rebookings to this “Homestay,” which is simply a staff house. While renting out empty rooms isn’t inherently wrong, the host should be transparent. The whole setup seems like a scam, and I hope Airbnb takes action to prevent others from going through the same experience. Attached are some pictures showing the actual state of the “Homestay.”

When we booked Kansarlinn we were a bit apprehensive if we had made the right choice but for our given dates there was little affordable in the neighborhood. What a pleasant surprise we were in for! The unpretentious road-side white hotel with its adjacent same-name restaurant proved to be one of our best accommodation experiences in island. Will start by saying how wonderful the people are, the owner ( a country music lover!) and all of the staff at the restaurant, wonderful people,. The hotel itself is quiet, clean, modern inside, the room was large, comfortable for 3 people, value-for-money for sure. Only thing that we did not like /could be improved is the size of the beds that are tiny in width! What is this with single Icelandic beds to be hardly 60 cm wide??! I had not fallen off my bed since I was 4, nearly did here. Note that the double is two teeny singles put together. Also the view could have been been a bit better but is part of the deal of a roadside hotel/inn... The adjacent restaurant was great, we enjoyed a fabulous local fish and chips dinner with some local draft beer under the sounds of some good country music for a very competitive price! The breakfast, served in the restaurant was equally fabulous, filled us to the max with both hot and cold offerings and great coffee. Highly recommended, hotel and restaurant alike!

Llegamos a la habitación alquilada y estaba deshecha, usada por las anteriores personas que se quedaron allí. Se estaba haciendo de noche hacía frío y estuvimos 1 hora esperando intentando localizar a los dueños que no nos cogían el teléfono (con el coste de las llamadas que eso conlleva) finalmente tuvimos que llamar a Booking. Después de 1 hora se presentó allí una mujer diciendo que nos ofrecían otra habitación, concretamos con ella que ya no queríamos estar allí después de la larga espera y perdimos una excursión que teníamos por este tema y acordamos el reembolso. Como fue de palabra, las palabras se las llevó el viento y nos cobraron el alojamiento. Una auténtica vergüenza llegar a un sitio que el check in es a las 16h y llegar a las 18:30h y que no esté la habitación lista y que haya que estar llamando por teléfono y que ni siquiera den señales de vida. Encima del incidente parecía que había que pedirles perdón nosotros. No lo recomiendo en absoluto.

LloustiboomLe check-in est un peu particulier: il faut appeler un numéro, entre 16h et 21h, depuis un téléphone fixe situé dans le hall. Je sens venir le coup foireux... et ça n'a pas loupé! Le téléphone ne fonctionne pas, par SMS pas de réponse non plus, mail idem,... nous finissons par appeler via booking et mon téléphone, on me répond en islandais, je comprends rien, parle 3 mots d'anglais, du coup mon interlocuteur aussi, sauf que ça capte pas, et finis par raccrocher, espérant qu'on me rappelle, en vain...dehors, ça capte mieux, et on finit par avoir un numéro de chambre et un code de porte... La cuisine commune aux 15 chambres semble très bien équipée : machine à café façon hotel avec cappuccino et cie, équipée de deux fours, 2 plaques, ... c'est génial! Oui, enfin ça, c'était sur le papier: la machine à café ne fonctionne pas, il n'y a qu'une plaque pour les deux fours, et aucun plat. les salles d'eau sont très limites pour le nombre de couchage.
