Das Personal war sehr freundlich, der Parkplatz zwar öffentlich zugänglich aber videoüberwacht, den Mopeds ist nichts passiert. Das Zimmer schien relativ frisch renoviert, man sollte als Handwerker aber nicht zu genau hinschauen. War alles neu aber wohl von Hobbyhandwerkern gemacht. Unser Zimmer mit ”Meerblick” war zum Schulhof ausgerichtet, man konnte das Meer aber sehen. Dennoch halte ich den Mehrpreis nicht für gerechtfertigt. Das Frühstück war eher durchschnittlich.

So, the positives, location, right in the centre of everything. The staff are helpful and friendly. Shout out to Sophia and Ian, but also our lovely waitress and pool bar staff. Great bed and shower. The air conditioning is the best, and in the middle of a heatwave, that’s important. Breakfast is local, fresh and plentiful. All you need. Some might say the hotel is a bit dated. I prefer vintage. We had the Comfort Room, with the cutest balcony and local neighbour who we met up with every evening and said “hello! How are you?” On our perspective balconies. That was the extent of her English and our Greek. The wi-fi in the room was a bit iffy but great everywhere else in the hotel. We found two amazing local eateries and ate there all the time! We went to a recommended taverna in town but our waiter was much more interested in the larger parties in the restaurant (Sathmos)and not two old foggies with a smaller appetite and didn’t want a starter or pudding we voted with our feet and didn’t go back. Their loss. Best to stick to the small places off the beaten track. The best food, prices and service (Dell Arte pizza restaurant just off the main square) We did the all day trip to Keffolonia. Long day but Keffolomia is beautiful. The ferry ride there and back is too long. We also did the wine tour with the aforementioned Ian. Great fun. The negatives? There is a bit of a ‘sewage smell’ in the bathroom. Sounds bad but you get use to it! The lovely Sophia allowed us to have a sneaky peel at the upgraded room because we would love to come back and the upgrade room is a bit bigger. We loved it! .

Dieses Hotel ist sehr gut, die Lage ist gut, der Tagesausflug wird im Hotel abgeholt, das Frühstück ist besonders reichhaltig, sehr gesund. Und vor allem ist die Hotelbesitzerin sehr, sehr gut, die Chefin ist sehr jung und schön, und vor allem das Temperament und ein Großvater ist auch sehr gut. Mein Handy fiel ins Meer, es leuchtete nicht, und dann fand ich ein Werkzeug zum Öffnen des Handys. Opa war sehr geduldig und hat mit mir gelernt. Es war ihm peinlich, mitten in der Nacht in Schwierigkeiten zu geraten. Er fragte beim Handyladen in der Nähe nach, und auch die Chefin zeigte mir Geduld. Straße! Da das Telefon kaputt ist, habe ich nicht viel gegessen. Ich ging um 1 Uhr abends runter, um Instant-Nudeln zu holen, oder der Großvater half mir, die Blasen zu kochen. Kurz gesagt, ich gebe diesem Hotel eine perfekte Punktzahl! ! ! ! ! Gewissensbewertung!

Enjoyed a 4 night stay is Junior suite room located on 3rd floor. The room enjoys great views of port, sea and square from a very large double balcony. Spacious and comfortable room with separate bedroom and lounge area. The suite has 2 air conditioning units, separate bathroom with walk in shower. Breakfast was good and large choice offered. You can enjoy breakfast in their clique Central Cafe bar. Quick and efficient check-in/out. Friendly and welcoming staff. This is a return visit too.
