Fantastische Lage direkt im Zentrum von Devices. Auf dem Eingang war kein Angebot, Taschen hoch zu tragen und kein Aufzug verfügbar. Zimmer war freundlich mit großem Charakter, aber die große Aussicht der Empfänger kommentiert bei der Eincheckung war direkt in Zimmer 14!!!! Nicht ganz, was wir erwarteten, so blieben die Gärten am Wochenende geschlossen. Wir haben hier nicht wie alle ein wenig preiswert und ponzierig gegessen. Fab Restaurants in und um den Platz. Das Zimmer war komfortabel genug und die Dusche war schön, auch wenn die Kontrollen am anderen Ende der Dusche waren und Sie nur nass, um sie anzudrehen. Für 2 Nächte passte unsere Bedürfnisse nur eine Schande keine Zimmerservice für Essen, wenn als Hotel eingestuft.

We stayed at this Hotel to break up a trip to the Midlands and hadn't visited Marlborough before, although I had driven through about 20 years ago for work and thought it was an impressive High Street. It is still a very impressive main street and this hotel is right in the centre of it. It's an old coaching Inn, so drooping in places, but our room was full of wooden beams and atmosphere. The furniture was a bit worn and tired but that only added to the effect. It was all very spacious and the bathroom was well appointed. The bed was a good size and comfortable, if a little on the firm side. The staff were very friendly and efficient and the location very good, especially with a large, easily accessible and free car park. Dinner in the hotel was a bit of a disappointment, for me anyway, a huge but not particularly tasty steak and ale pie and lumpy gravy. We were given a voucher which gave us 20% off the bill, which was handy and my wife's steak was good, she said. Despite facing the main street and being above the bar, the room was very quiet. Breakfast was a world apart from my underwhelming dinner the night before. Plenty of choice of cereals and pastries, lovely teas and coffee and the Full English Breakfast was one of the best I've ever had. Cooked to order, with butcher's quality pork sausages, perfectly cooked, lovely poached egg on sourdough toast, very good smoked bacon, mushrooms and tomato and beans. To sum up, it's an old hotel, car parking is great, location is perfect, staff were lovely, the room was huge and comfortable and the breakfast was amazingly good. We'd certainly return when we are up that way.

We enjoy visiting Marlborough but due to the fact there's not really any hotels ”in town” as such, we haven't previously stayed overnight however fancied a 2 night weekend stopover, found the Kingsbury at No 7 & 8 at a very reasonable price & had a wonderful 2 night break. We arrived around 6pm on a Friday evening, left the car in the centre of High Street whilst we grabbed our bags & following the clear instructions received via e-mail & text, let ourselves into the front entrance & once inside, our wonderful room. I can understand how some people may struggle with this however we were fully aware that we weren't staying in a hotel or B&B & were completely fine. Once we'd dropped our bags, we moved the car to the Car Park behind Waitrose which was inexpensive & only a 5 minute walk away then nipped into the burger restaurant adjacent to claim two free cocktails we obtained due to the booking agent. All-in-all a lovely welcome. We were in Room No 3 in Building 8 & our room was lovely. The bathroom in particular was very nicely furnished & the bed was large & very comfortable. Linens were fantastic, the shower was wonderful, heated towel rail, well-lit throughout & ventilation via two traditional windows. Overall the quality of the accommodation was ideal. Due to the height of the ceilings, there was a little dust here & there & one or two of the fittings were a little on the loose side but generally we were incredibly comfortable with our home for the weekend. We found the breakfast left for us a lovely little touch. Chilled orange juice & milk, a choice of Kelloggs cereal, porridge pots, fresh pastries, two fresh fruit salads & separate oat pots in glass jars. All in all, far too much to eat but it was all very tasty. Due to the fact that the room isn't huge with only one small desk & chair, it's pretty much a breakfast-on-the-go but a great addition to our stay. The location of the property is pretty much perfect. It's just beyond the High Street. We left the windows open during the evening & whilst there was more traffic noise than you'd maybe expect from a small little town, we didn't have any issues sleeping or with noise, even on Saturday morning market day ... the only thing you will be disturbed by will be the church bells but this is hardly something to complain about. We didn't eat in the burger joint as we'd had lunch there previously & fancied something a little more formal but if burgers are your thing, they are really good. We knew parking isn't available so rather than worry about leaving it street-side, we just left it in the car park. If you arrive on a Friday night you only have to pay for Saturday daytime & we moved it to the High Street on Saturday night as Sundays are free. All in all we had a wonderful weekend in Marlborough & will definitely return to the Kingsbury.

Schöne Pub in wirklich gute Lage für die Erforschung der lokalen Gegend. Viel Parkplatz verfügbar. Freundlich greift und zeigt dem Zimmer, das übersehen Paddock. Bett sehr komfortabel. Schleifen von Decken verursacht Probleme mit meiner Höhe muss die meisten Probleme haben. Das Badezimmer war gut. Ich muss sagen, dass alle Türen in/zu dem Zimmer nicht ohne Kraft geöffnet oder geschlossen werden konnten und folglich laut waren. Frühstück und Abendessen waren beide extrem gut. Gute Auswahl von Weinen und Bier, aber der Sitz in der Bar wir nicht gefunden, die bequemsten leider. Insgesamt, eine sehr schöne 2-Nacht-Pause und würde empfehlen l
