We had our wedding here on the 16th June 2024. Its been on my mind to ensure I wrote a review. Everything was absolutely fantastic. You quite simply can't fault this place. The hotel itself is beautiful and all staff are so helpful and obliging. We live in Rainford and with our wedding being on a Sunday we wanted to try and keep it local so as not to expect guests to need to take a Monday off from work. If you want to feel like you are in the lake district but not at lake district prices this is the place to be. Nothing was too much trouble. Due to illness we had last minute changes to our guest list which meant changes in choice of food etc. Both Gill and Liza and are so helpful and obliging. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Big Kev and Little Kev so helpful, table set exactly how I had described. I had different table gifts and I worried some guests may get the wrong gift...worry not it was spot on! Food, everyone commented on the quality of the food, we had the beef and you certainly get a decent sized portion. Once we sent our invites and our guests saw the hotel most of them decided to book to stay over, everyone commented on the standard of everything. Breakfast the next day was also lovely. Big shout out to the staff on the day also, bar staff, waiters and reception as everyone was lovely. Not forgetting Tony the DJ who also obliged in playing a playlist just as I had described. Last shout out to reception, my mum had left her jewellery in the room after checking out. I didn't catch the lady's name but on Monday she retrieved the jewellery and put it safe until I could collect it...thank you. Its all the little things that mount up to make a perfect day. I've tried to attach a selection of photos to give a feel for how nice the outside surroundings look, with so may nice places for photographs.

Ich hatte vor kurzem die Freude, im Holiday Inn Express Wigan zu bleiben und war gründlich mit meiner Erfahrung beeindruckt. Von dem Moment, als ich ankam, wurde ich mit warmer und freundlicher Service von der Mitarbeiterin begrüßt. Das Zimmer selbst war sauber, komfortabel und gut ausgestattet mit allen Einrichtungen, die ich für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt benötigt hatte. Das Bett war komfortabel, die Dusche war heiß, und das WLAN war schnell und zuverlässig. Das Hotel bietet auch jeden Morgen ein erfreuliches Frühstück, das ein toller Weg war, den Tag zu beginnen. Die Auswahl der Lebensmittel war beeindruckend, mit einer Vielzahl von warmen und kalten Optionen zu wählen. Die Lage des Hotels ist auch hervorragend, mit einfachem Zugang zum Stadtzentrum und nahe gelegenen Attraktionen. Außerdem machte der umfangreiche Parkplatz es einfach zu kommen und zu gehen, wie ich es gefällt. Insgesamt empfehle ich den Holiday Inn Express Wigan für jeden, der einen komfortablen und bequemen Ort sucht, um in der Gegend zu bleiben. Das Personal, die Unterkunft und die Lage überstiegen meine Erwartungen, und ich freue mich auf das nächste Mal wieder hier zu bleiben.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception here at the begining of April. What a fantastic hotel/wedding venue it is! From start to finish the day went so smoothly and everything was just perfect. The wedding breakfast food was exceptional and all of our guests commented on this! I cannot thank the staff enough, for such great organisation of the day. The rooms were set up so beautifully and the hotel grounds are well kept, neat and tidy. The hotel rooms were immaculate, spacious and very well presented. The breakfast included was lovely offering a variety of hot/cold foods. All the way through our wedding journey members of staff were on hand to answer any questions/queries and were very happy to help! Overall this venue is amazing and I would highly reccomend.

I was impressed with the outlook of the interior entrance. However, kids beds was so uncomfortable and one of the bed has a broken with sharp metal wire hanging upwards which injured my daughter's back. This shows how careless the management team are. overall rooms are way too small for a family the space to move around is via the bathroom area. Staff are OK!. Location: One of the best reason to stay at this hotel would be the location. Quite, traffic less, easy access to superstores such as Costco & fuel, Tesco, Asda fuel, gas station, few takeaway places. Great place for fitness enthusiast. Nice Pub and restaurant at your door step. under a hour away from a beach and not just a beach there are plenty other things to do but not its impossible to enjoy in a day. Number of places to enjoy with your kids. Things to do: Pleasureland (Make sure to advanced book ticket online), Splash World, pedalo Ducks £15 for 2 adults and 2 kids, Huge place to shop around and plenty places to eat. Not far from Trafford Centre. Next time I am back in Manchester I will be visiting Indoor Skydiving place called Beyond, Dyno golf park amazing place to try out with kids £18 for 2 adults 2 kids with Starbucks drink. Parking at Soutport beach at Seafront on Marine Dr costs £8 for whole day (Totally Worth it)

After an exceptional stay at the Wigan Holiday Inn Express on September 20th, 2024, I didn’t expect such a stark contrast in service at another location within the same hotel group the very next day (September 21st, 2024). This time, we experienced a completely different attitude at the front desk—rudeness and dismissiveness. Despite multiple requests for assistance, such as having my room closer to my friend’s, an hour late check-out (which my friend was granted), and fixing the issue with my room’s air conditioning (my friend’s room was fine), we were met with vague, unhelpful explanations that treating a fool. It felt like dealing with political officials dodging direct answers. For the first time ever, I left a hotel feeling genuinely angry. They might be better suited for a career in politics.

Hier kam ich auf einer Bustourreise. Sofort von der modernen Lage unseres Schlafzimmers und den Einrichtungen. Auch sehr sauber. Hatte Abendessen, das war ausgezeichnet. Wir hatten Pate und Makrele zu starten, Meerbraun für die Hände mit Kartoffeln und Vegetation und Dessert von Käsekochen. Alles ausgezeichnet und sehr gut serviert. Wie mein Titel vorschlägt, das beste Hotel noch auf einer Bustour. Gut empfohlen.

Das Hotel befindet sich nicht wirklich in Chorley, das sich nach Südwesten und einige Entfernung von Chorley befindet. Es befindet sich in einem Autobahnservicebereich, der nur vom Nordbound M6 zugänglich ist. Ausfahrt ist auch auf dem Nordbound M6. Das bedeutet, dass Sie eine ziemlich lange Strecke entlang der Autobahn haben, wenn Sie den Zugang zu lokalen Einrichtungen - oder CHORLEY beabsichtigen. Es ist gut als ein Stopp, wenn Sie tatsächlich Norden auf der M6 reisen. Das Hotel brauchte bei der Eincheckung mehr Informationen, die in den meisten Tagen sind, und sie fordern Sie auf, bei der Rezeption für eine Zimmereinlage eine Debit-/Kreditkarte zu registrieren. Es wird kein Geld genommen, wenn Sie etwas beschädigen, aber sie haben Karte blanche Geld zu nehmen und mit Ihnen zu streiten später sollten sie so wählen. Sehr wenige (keine in meiner jüngsten Erfahrung) Hotels nehmen solche Maßnahmen in diesen Tagen. In der Zeit des Betrugs und der Identitätsdiebstahls ist es nie ideal, Informationen irgendwie zu übermitteln. Das Zimmer war sehr komfortabel und gut eingerichtet, aber die Dusche war sehr schleifend. Es gab Ankündigungen im Badezimmer, aber einige Bemühungen, das Badezimmer weniger gefährlich wären nützlicher. Insgesamt gibt es bessere Alternativen vor Ort, die keine Kartendetails erfordern und sind viel einfacher zu erreichen mit dem Auto, und tatsächlich öffentlicher Verkehr oder Fahrrad. Gehen Sie an anderer Stelle für den gleichen Standard der Unterkunft ohne die Mühe.
