the room service is nice even the room is a bit small

Da ich in der Zwischenzeit mehrmals hier übernachten konnte, möchte ich meine Erfahrungen teilen. Es ist nicht der 5 Sterne Palast aber man hat alles was man braucht. Direkt an der Autobahn und doch ist man schnell im Zentrum von Bristol. Leider hat das Hotel keinen Lift, dafür eine nette Bar und gutes Essen. Highlight ist der warme Cookie beim Check in. Gerne wieder.

Sehr enttäuscht, als wir ein Spa-Hotel reserviert und nicht realisiert, dass wir zusätzlichen Bezahlungen für die Nutzung der Einrichtungen zu zahlen.

Das Hotel ist sehr historisch und sehr alt. Im Bankettsaal zu sitzen, ein Glas Brandy zu bestellen und klassische Musik zu hören, fühlt sich sehr gut an. Ich war in der Elizabeth Suite. Auf dem dreistöckigen Dachboden fühlte ich mich nicht so gut, wie ich dachte. Es gibt mehrere Holzstapel in der Mitte des Raumes, es fühlt sich komisch an! Sie müssen Ihren Kopf beugen, um ins und aus dem Badezimmer zu gelangen, und die Tür ist kurz. Der Schlüssel ist, dass es keinen Aufzug gibt und Sie mit Ihrem Gepäck die Treppe hinaufsteigen müssen! Die Treppe war sehr schmal, die Art von Kreis, die Stufen waren polierte Steine. Obwohl mich die Dame an der Rezeption beim Einchecken gefragt hat, muss ich mein Gepäck für Sie tragen? Aber ich fühle mich immer noch unwohl, wenn ich sie störe. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut, es gibt viele Arten und Sie können ein Menü bestellen. Kurz gesagt, ich habe das Gefühl, dass der Preis nicht hoch ist, was der niedrigere Rang unter den alten Schlosshotels ist, die auf dieser Reise übernachten.

Location perfect for accessing Bristol - and just off the M5. Parking free. Rooms quiet, clean & warm and beds extremely comfortable with beautiful pillows. Fantastic shower. We would also highly recommend the integral Black Sheep pub serving delicious continental breakfasts (the pain aux raisins were to die for) as well as traditional English bacon/ sausage butties. The staff were, without exception, polite and efficient. We are fussy when it comes to where we stay but we honestly would not hesitate in giving our 2 night stay a 10/10.

My sister and (now) sister in law got married at this hotel last weekend and it was absolutely amazing. We had our two children with us and one uses a wheelchair so we were given inter joining rooms on the ground floor which was really helpful. The staff ran round all day to get everything ready for the wedding at 4pm. They carried gifts, table decorations, props and most importantly kept the brides separated until the ceremony. Food was fantastic, DJ was great. Everyone went above and beyond. If there was one little negative it was that there were a few guests who stayed who weren’t part of the wedding party which is fine but they complained about the noise and one guest actually took to banging on people’s doors. The outside guests should be told there will be a wedding and perhaps put in rooms away from the main wedding party. We got some dirty looks at breakfast! Other than that it was great. I overheard a guest complaining about his room because it was ‘old’ but it’s a grade 2 listed building! Someone also complained about how long it took to be served at the bar… again it was a wedding so there were quite a few guests. Take the ‘desperately needs updating’ comments with a pinch of salt.. you want modern go to a travel lodge. You want character go to the grange
