My husband and I came here for a two-day break the day after our wedding in early September 2024. We took a taxi from central London but if on public transport the hotel is c. 20 minutes walk from Richmond tube station, just outside the park. It is a building full of character, both due to the decor, and the fact that it seems to be several different structures knocked together. Our room was very comfortable, with a large bed, massive bathroom with excellent shower, a complementary gin (although this was only explained to us on our last day so we missed it!) The main attraction is the spa, which includes a lovely pool (c. 20 m), a jacuzi, steam room, wet room, hot tubs, and cold plunge. You can also get treatments but we didn't try that. Richmond is an easy walk along a terrace with stunning views over the Thames, and there are numerous attractive walks to do in the various parks and along the river. There are restaurants aplenty in Richmond, but we ate in the hotel both nights. The food was very good, but the restaurant felt slightly lacking in atmosphere unfortunately, particularly on the first night (a Saturday) when it was virtually empty except for us.

Lovely small hotel. Rooms equipped with everything needed and spotlessly clean. Enjoyed some delicious bar food late afternoon before going for evening. Staff extremely friendly. I enjoyed a delicious continental breakfast (included in room charge whilst my husband enjoyed a full English (extra). My only suggestion is some heating in the conservatory used for breakfast, was a tad chilly in there!

Great rooms , great food, location , staff amazing, tentative and personable .would highly recommend and a bonus of breakfast , cereal, yoghurts and muffins ,Great value for money . We had theatre tickets , close location to eventim Hammersmith theatre 10 minute walk to theatre and Hammersmith tube station , a great find and a hidden gem. Thank you

Lovely hotel, clean, spacious and well-decorated. Service was fantastic, too. The front desk manager, Tushar took the time to make suggestions and reservations for sight-seeing as well as restaurants and transportation. He really went out of his way to be sure we would see all the sights! The restaurant had delicious choices, my personal fav was the beet salad on the lunch buffet! But there were lots of other delicious choices. Dinner (lamb shank and sea bass) were some of the best we’ve ever had. The location to the Park and downtown Richmond was outstanding. Richmond Park blew us away with the scenery, deer, and hiking. Absolutely stunning.

The Selwyn Hotel was lovely and definitely worth visiting. The building is beautiful and the staff were very responsive. The breakfast was amazing and is definitely worth the extra charge. A big surprise was that the hotel was within walking distance to the Thames and an area with many wonderful shops and restaurants. What a treat! I would give it a solid five stars, except that the room advertised a view of Kew, which does not mean Kew Gardens! Maybe you know this if you are from London, but as a non-native, I had no idea. My view was of a corner brick wall, which was disappointing. Be very specific when reserving about what your view looks like. In addition, the building can be noisy with outside traffic and from other guests. Overall, it was a lovely stay.

First, the positives - lovely comfortable bed, good quality bedding, and the blackout curtains, ensured a good night’s sleep. The location was convenient for us. The kettle, tea and coffee and biscuits were appreciated. However, there were a lot of negatives, notwithstanding the relative cheapness of a sub £100 price per night. The fixtures and fittings were in an awful state, falling to bits and rusting. Starting with the wardrobe, it was shoogly, and the door didn’t close properly. The toilet seat was extremely loose, making it very difficult to use. The shower head attachment came off, and the shower head (lower one) couldn’t be tilted. The basin tap handle was almost off, making it difficult to turn on/off and change temperature. The key to the outside door was difficult to use until you got the knack of it. There were things missing which should be there, regardless of price imo including bedside lamps, or at least one, so we didn’t have to get out of bed to switch the light off after reading. Also, a bath mat for when you get out of the shower would have been appreciated.

GGuest UserGreat hotel which is built into Twickenham Rugby stadium. Clean and comfortable with friendly and helpful staff. I stayed there when there was a game on that I attended with more than 76000 others. The hotel was very busy but they dealt with it well. I will certainly stay again, as I have done in the past.

We stayed at the Alexander Pope hotel last weekend when we were in London for a family wedding and booked three rooms, including for elderly relatives. Other family members also stayed as it was near to the wedding venue. What a wonderful and hospitable place to stay. All of the staff, from reception on arrival to bar staff and breakfast staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, even facilitating an early check in for one of the rooms so that we could get ready. Parking on site is a huge bonus. The rooms were very clean and comfortable with all the amenites you could need for the night and we had lovely river views. Great location too! Thank you! One small thing (but a big one if you are older or have any sight impairment) : The lighting in the rooms is lovely and atmospheric but it would be really helpful to also have a brighter practical ceiling light that could be switched on too as some of our party struggled a little to see in the room at night.

Ttmhead13Das Hotel ist eher wie ein Bett und Frühstück, aber es ist nichts falsch, solange es als solches angekündigt wird. Ein Warnhinweis für weniger fähige Kunden - alle Zimmer sind im 1. / 2. / 3. Stock und es gibt keinen Aufzug. Wenn Sie keine Treppen oder eine Tasche aufnehmen können, ist das nicht für Sie.
Die En-suite in unserem Zimmer war nicht die sauberste. Als wir ankamen, war der Bin nicht ersetzt worden. Es gab auch einen wirklich starken Geruch von Urin, wenn wir ins Zimmer eintraten - auch nach Hausaufbewahrung. Die Abwasserentsorgung für die Dusche war sehr langsam, so dass wir jedes Mal duschen, der Tasche voller Wasser.
Alles, was gesagt wurde, war der Service wunderschön. Das Personal war hilfreich - vor allem das Personal, das den Frühstücksservice arbeitet. Es gab auch ein anderes Personal am letzten Tag, das uns Reiseinformationen gab, weil es keine Züge von Kew damals gab.

GGuest UserIch bin gerade nach einer Nacht hier zurückgekommen und was ein perfekter Aufenthalt war es auch. Wir blieben in Attic 1 und es war ein super sauberes und frisches Zimmer mit einem schönen En-suite. Das Bett war groß und auch komfortable mit einem schönen frischen weichen Linen. Wir sind nach Mitternacht zurückgekehrt und obwohl der Pub geschlossen war, hatten wir noch keine Probleme, in unser Zimmer zu kommen. Das Auto war auf der Vorhof parkiert ohne Probleme. Ich empfehle diesen Ort definitiv und ich werde immer hier in der Zukunft zu buchen suchen. Warum zahlen Sie die Ausbeutung Hotelpreise, wenn es Gemälde zu finden sind. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

GGuest UserIch habe für Shell gearbeitet, und so besuchte ich das, was dann als Lensbury Club bekannt war viele Male. Wir buchten das Lensbury Resort in einer Eignung der Nostalgie. Es hat sich in den 30 Jahren nicht viel geändert oder so seit meinem letzten Besuch. Die Zimmer sind komfortabel und unser Deluxe Doppel war ziemlich geräumig, mit einem großen Sofa, voller Wäscheschrank und einem modernen Badezimmer, das ein schönes Bad sowie eine große Dusche-Züchter umfasste. Auf der Nebenseite ist der Hauptgebäude groß und wenig getan worden, um es zu begeistern. Das Essen ist ziemlich durchschnittlich und der Koch hat einige seltsame Entscheidungen getroffen: zum Abendessen ist die thailändische Kauliflower & Chickpea Curry mehr indisch als Thai und hatte wenig Geschmack. Der Lampentrummel war schmecklich. Die ”hot chocolate with whipped cream” kam mit keine whipped cream und als wir fragten, wurde uns gesagt, es gab keine whipped cream. Ähnlich, aus dem Mittagessenmenü war die BLT mit einem Berg von Thyme in der Mayonnaise erprobt - eine sehr merkwürdige Kombination und Nicht jemand, der überhaupt gut funktioniert. Es ist auch irritierend, mehr als einmal daran zu erinnern, dass ”Dienstgebühr nicht enthalten ist.” Der Pool ist OK, aber es gab viele junge Kinder am Wochenende so nicht besonders genießbar für Schwimmlängen, wenn Sie müssen Vermeiden Sie Kinder, in den Pool zu bombardieren. Das Resistance-Petze wurde jedoch um 4 Uhr aufwacht, als einige neue Ankunftsmitglieder versuchten, in unser Zimmer zu kommen. Sie versuchten mehr als einmal, obwohl wir die Tür antworteten und ihnen gesagt haben, dass es unser Zimmer war. Sie zeigten uns Ihr Schlüssel und es war tatsächlich mit der gleichen Zimmernummer wie wir waren in. Nachdem wir auch von Sicherheit besucht wurden, die eindeutig dachte, wir liegen über das unser Zimmer. Wir erwähnten es bei der Abreise und wurden erzählt, sich schriftlich zu beschweren.
