Was für einen hervorragenden Ort zu bleiben. Wir kamen für eine Familienheirate und wurden willkommen gemacht durch unseren Aufenthalt. Hotel und Personal waren außergewöhnlich wie das Schloss! Essen wurde von dieser Welt gestellt, auch für mich, der Coeliac so braucht Gluten kostenlos! Das Hotel hat uns zwischen dem Vale und dem Schloss geschleppt, das ein Gott für die mit Hügeln gesandt war! Wir bezahlten für ein Grundzimmer, lassen Sie mich sagen, es war nichts Grundstück!! Großes komfortables Bett, schönes Badezimmer mit Dusche, der üblichen Tee, Kaffee, Wasser usw., wenn das war Grund würde ich nie die höheren Zimmer verlassen! Diolch yn fair iawn, vielen Dank, es war eine Freude, Ihre Gäste zu sein.

This hotel is an exclusive getaway, mainly for couples or celebration events. I enjoyed the cosy atmosphere during the Christmas season and the delicious food served at breakfast prepared fresh by the Head Chef (thank you Chef for the nice chat too!) and at the dinner restaurant. Top quality food! All staff was very friendly and helpful. The spa area is a bit cold for me, especially in the changing room so I didn't use it. Rooms are clean and welcoming. Location is quite remote and taxes are not always available, although I didn't have any issue at the time of my stay.

Key gripes: Wi-Fi in the room was awful, our phones could hardly connect to it. Steps in the room to and from the bathroom, seems like a trip hazard. Lame shower pressure. £5 charge for a dressing gown… in a spa hotel, where I’ve booked an expensive spa treatment. The restaurant is the hotel’s biggest Achilles heel. We ate there the first night and didn’t go back. The food was okay but mains came out lukewarm like they’d been sitting out for a while, the burger bun was dry. We ordered a starter of bread and olives which was £8 and they gave us two tiny slices of bread, it was so absurd that we laughed but honestly I prefer to eat my food than be amused by it. The restaurant wasn’t even half full but they sat us on the worst table so I was right behind a door which I kept hitting with my elbow. It took them an hour and a half to serve us two courses, hardly any food seemed to be coming out of the kitchen, lots of other tables sat with no food for ages. No one warned us that there would be a 30-40 minute wait each course. The service in general was very poor. We saw tables having to approach to ask for more drinks because the wait staff hadn’t offered. No one checked if our meals were okay. They seemed to do a lot of running about setting table places etc but not looking after their guests. Breakfast was similarly bad. Again staff doing busy work instead of looking after guests. I had breakfast on two mornings. Between those days, guests had to ask on separate occasions for teabags, a refill of scrambled eggs (twice), and more plates because they’d run out. The staff on duty were not checking the breakfast buffet to make sure everything was available. The first day I came down, no one explained to me how the buffet worked, showed me where things were, or even just said ‘the buffet is over there, please help yourself’. I come to a hotel to enjoy great food, a good sleep, relaxation, and excellent service - I want to be looked after for a few days. This hotel has recently been renovated so looks very clean and well presented, but the incompetent service really lets it down.

A lovely little guest house and an excellent location. The rooms are not very modern looking but the room I stayed in had plenty of space, beds were extremely comfy and the room was clean. The bathroom was spacious and I had a lovely hot bath! The breakfast was delicious and a nice choice of foods for the continental breakfast. Staff are really friendly and welcoming and always seem happy for a chat. They were also very helpful when it came to trying to find taxi's. The guest house is a small drive (5 mins or less) from bridgend town and a Tesco, but I feel you would need to drive there as I didn't see any train or bus stops. there is also a small spar which is about a 5/10 minute walk. I would definitely recommend the guest house and would stay there again

Ein großes, vernünftig bezahltes Hotel. Ausgezeichnet gelegen, um entweder Swansea oder Cardiff zu erreichen. Das Personal war außergewöhnlich, vor allem der Empfangsmann, der so hilfreich war während unseres Aufenthalts. Ich würde gern empfehlen, in diesem Hotel zu bleiben.
