The Boathouse is a bar/restaurant with Wedding & Conference facilities plus a large free car park all in a most idyllic location on Ormesby Broad. They have 4 double rooms upstairs where we stopped for two nights En Suite Room. In reviewing hotels we look for the extra touches which say a lot for the owners. Quality towels, heated (controllable) towel rail, air con with easy to understand adjustment, quilted toilet rolls, shaving mirror, nice toiletries, tea/coffee with biccies, flat screen TV with text & sub titles enabled, safe, hairdryer, ample drawers & wardrobe, comfy bed with bedside drawer unit & light, windows which open fully & the “piece de resistance” a combined shoe horn & clothes brush. To top it all the bathroom has a sensor light to prevent stumbling round in the dark looking for the light switch. All in evidence at The Boathouse. Bar/Restaurant. There is a well stocked bar and our experience of breakfast & dinner was top notch. There was a comprehensive menu , food came quickly, was hot and well presented. We couldn’t believe the size of the breakfast. We have attached some photos

I have no idea how this place can call itself a 4 star hotel?! It's a 2 star at best.we booked 2 rooms for my family of 4. On arrival, it wasnt quite what we expected but the staff were friendly enough, so that's always nice. On entering our rooms,we were extremely disappointed.The 1st thing we noticed was the sink, which was tiny and in the bedroom. We then noticed how small and wonky the TV was, holes in the plaster on the walls. The rooms are in desperate need of being decorated. There was dust everywhere, squeaky beds and floors,single glazed windows that don't close properly, which let's you hear every little noise outside. That didn't matter though, as it was overpowered by the horrendous sound of the boiler alllllll night,leaving me with no sleep at all. The 'shower room” is horrid. Mould on windows and tiles. You can tell the cleaners have tried their best but you can't polish a turd,in desperate need of some tlc. There was no wifi,or if there was we had no way of logging into it. The breakfast was okish but small for a ”full english” . I hate to say that the only positive thing for us was the location, the hotel itself is worth half of the £80 per room per night I paid! I don't normally go to these lengths to complain but the website was very misleading.For that money and the pictures etc we were hoping and expecting a half decent hotel to spend a night and enjoy Yarmouth..... we enjoyed Yarmouth so we were half way there.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Imperial Hotel and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The service throughout our stay was exceptional. The staff was attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist with any requests or questions we had. They truly made us feel like valued guests and their genuine hospitality was greatly appreciated. Another great aspect of the Imperial Hotel is its convenient location. Being within walking distance of the beach is a huge plus for those who enjoy spending time by the ocean. It's wonderful to have the opportunity to easily access the beach and enjoy the beautiful surroundings without having to travel far. The proximity to the beach adds an extra level of relaxation and enjoyment to the overall experience at the hotel. Overall, my family and I had a fantastic experience . The combination of a delicious breakfast, excellent service, and clean accommodations made our stay truly memorable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a top-notch experience.

Im zweiten Jahr der Laufzeit haben wir den August-Bank-Ferienend als Familie in Great Yarmouth verbracht und im Hotel geblieben. Wir reservierten die drei besten Zimmer und ich muss sagen, sie sind sehr komfortabel mit King-Size-Bett und einem Jacuzzi-Badewanne. Es ist auf der Nordseite gerade aus dem Stadtzentrum, das uns passt, können Sie gehen oder auf einen Bus springen. Es war schön, einige der Mitarbeiter von letztem Jahr zu erkennen und es war gut, mehr Personal als letztes Jahr zu sehen. Wir essen auch im Hotel ein paar Nächte und es war gut pub grub Typ viel von der Wahl.

Great location right by the beach and all restaurants and attractions. Laundry facilities and microwave tv and fridge in rooms.

Spotlessly clean, great location near joyland, friendly hosts, great breakfast, comfortable spacious family room, everything you could possibly need! Would recommend and would return. They had extras like bucket and spades and beach towels available to borrow free of charge (we didn’t as it was rather soggy! But the option was great!)
