Warm welcome, lovely room, deliciously comfortable bed. The Highworth is a gem. I was greeted by Katie who, from start to finish, was so accommodating and helpful. My room was huge, with tasteful decor, immaculately clean, large bath with excellent water pressure, great lighting, and a nice view of Highworth high street. Locally, there’s a good choice of places to eat, shops, a pretty town centre, local golf course, and you’re on the edge of the Cotswolds. Breakfast in the orangerie was delicious, the chef made it to order for 8am on the dot because we needed to get away for work. The young lady who serves us and check us out was warm and chatty. A special thank you to Katie, for being so kind, genuine and just lovely! Highly recommended

We are having our bathroom renovated and as we live in Highworth, wanted somewhere close to home. For what we paid we didn’t expect perfection. We were greeted with a smile and shown up to our room.On entering the room we could see it was ‘tired’; in need of a good refurb. Saying this, it was spotlessly clean, the bed was comfortable and we had a peaceful nights sleep. The bonus was having our own en suite facilities. The shower was powerful ( power shower) and nice and hot. Gorgeous smelling toiletries were provided. I would definitely stay here again if I needed to and would recommend this hotel. We didn’t eat here so cannot comment on food.

So we decided on a one night stay in a standard double room with optional evening meal and breakfast . The room had everything you need including A/C and the usual tv , Wi-Fi and coffee making facilities. The room was ultra clean with a lovely en-suite bathroom with both bath and shower over the bath . The only downside was the size of the room which was really very small and no room to unpack our case even . We ate in the restaurant and our starters and mains were absolutely delicious with lots of choice . A bit loud at times due to a large business table but we thoroughly enjoyed our meal . To sum up this is a beautiful hotel set in acres of quiet country side . It really is a stunning setting and we loved how peaceful it was . We will come again but will make sure to upgrade to a better room for sure .

On arrival, first impressions are very favourable. This is a nice-looking inn with loads of character. We arrived out of hours and had to call the number for check-in advice. No problem, this was fairly smooth. Unfortunately, our room, which was otherwise OK, had no aerial cable to reach the television. After 5.30, when the bar opened, I popped in and asked about this. We were promptly swapped to another room, room 3. Room 3 needs to have the toilet properly plumbed in. At the back of the lavatory, there is no drop. In fact, the waist is actually having to work against a very slight upward gradient. This meant that every time I flushed, I had to help the flush with a bucket of water. Sometimes, even then, taking several attempts. Otherwise, the room was clean if not a little tired. There was no housekeeping on our second day, so I had to ask for tea and milk top ups. Apart from that, it would have been fine as we only had 2 nights. On the second night we ate in the restaurant. The food, though it took a while to arrive, was very nice. Although when we were asked if we wanted gravy, which wasn't on the menu, we were charged £1.95 each. While one of our group couldn't have a banana split, we were still charged for it. In spite of her alternative being cheaper. So a nice It was our first time at the Carpenters Arms and a few nigles that could be ironed out fairly easily for a more memorable stay. Would I return, perhaps, I wouldn't rule it out.

Unser Vintage-Autoclub hat am vergangenen Wochenende am AGM-Wochenende stattgefunden. Es gab etwa 20 Autos und ihre Besitzer, die meisten davon 2 oder 3 Nächte dort verbrachten. Die Grundstücke und die Lage sind außergewöhnlich und jeder, den ich sprach, stimmte zu, dass die Zimmer geräumig, sauber und komfortabel waren. Unser jährliches Abendessen war ausgezeichnet, geschmackvoll und vielfältig gepflegt alle in zeitnaher Weise. Das Essen aus der Bar und dem Restaurant war auch sehr gut - schmecklich und gut vorgestellt. Das Personal ohne Ausnahme hat uns sehr willkommen gemacht und konnte nicht genug tun, um uns zu helfen und zu servieren, obwohl es sehr bemüht war mit mehreren anderen Veranstaltungen am Wochenende. Ich empfehle dieses schöne Hotel mit Schwimmbad, Fitness und Spa, nicht zu erwähnen Tennisplatz, Fußballplatz und hervorragende Kinderspielplatz.

Ich blieb zwei Wochen lang im Geschäftsbereich. Der Preis für ein Zimmer und ein Doppelzimmer war gleich, so dass sie mir ein Doppelbett gaben, wobei ich berücksichtigen würde, wie lange ich mit ihnen war. Das Zimmer war schön und geräumig, viel Speicherplatz. In den letzten Jahren scheint alles neu zu gestalten. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und immer bereit, zu helfen: sie machten mir ein gepacktes Mittagessen statt Frühstück, weil ich es beantragt habe, sie lassen meine Freundin über einen Wochenende ohne Probleme übernachten. Sie haben sogar das WiFi für mich geändert, so dass ich mehr Bandbreite hätte, um meine Online-Tutorial zu machen.

Der erste Stand in Großbritannien ist nicht weit von hier aus in die Seezone. Das Hotel ist sehr gut, das Zimmer ist auch groß, das Frühstück ist auch reichhaltig. In Großbritannien ist es ein sehr kostengünstiges Hotel. Es gibt eine Tankstelle und einen Supermarkt in der Nähe.
