Wir sind gerade von zwei Nächten zurück in Hallgarth Manor, nachdem wir unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen haben. Wir hatten ein geräumiges Deluxe-Zimmer mit einem ultramodernen Duschezimmer und einem großen komfortablen Bett. Das Frühstück war wunderbar mit viel Auswahl und serviert mit einem großen Lächeln von Amanda. Jedes Mitarbeiter, den wir getroffen haben, ging aus dem Weg, hilfreich und freundlich zu sein. Ein zusätzlicher Bonus war schön, sonnig Wetter, so konnten wir im schönen Garten für Mittagessen und Getränke sitzen. Das Hotel ist in einer sehr ruhigen, ruhigen, Landschaftsausstattung, aber ideal für Reisen nach Durham und den nahe gelegenen Park und Fahrt. Ich empfehle Hallgarth Manor ausdrücklich.

Wir hatten einen absolut erstaunlichen Aufenthalt in Ramside, um meinen 50. Geburtstag zu feiern. Wir blieben in einem Baumhaus, das völlig wunderschön war und nahmen meinen Atem weg!! Schöne Innenräume und Möbel sowie wunderbares Außenbereich mit Ihrem eigenen Heißräder und Sauna ...a wirklich wunderbare Erfahrung. Der Service ist zweit bis keiner. Der Konzern war buchstäblich auf dem Tap, um Sie zum und von dem Haupthotel zu nehmen. Nichts war jemals ein Problem. Der Hauptspa-Pool hatte viele Sitzplätze und eine unbegrenzte Lieferung von Handtüchern, Kleidern und Flip-Flops, um Sie entspannen und komfortabel zu machen. Das Fusion Restaurant war auch fabulös. 9 von uns im Restaurant gegessen, das Essen wurde serviert Piping heiß in schönen asiatischen inspirierten Schalen und Platten und sah vollkommen Mundwasser und geschmackvoll, konnten wir es nicht fehlen ....Die Cocktails sind auch wunderschön ich kann die Beeren sehr empfehlen Breeze für alle Gin-Liebhaber da draußen! Wow!! Vielen Dank, an das wundervolle dedikierte Personal von Ramside, für das machen unser Wochenende einfach perfekt und man sich erinnern ...Wir werden zurück!!

We arrived in Durham late afternoon after driving for hours from the Lakes district via Hadrian's wall in Hexham. We were greeted by the host William. After check-in we asked William for directions to Durham Cathedral. Unfortunately we got lost and couldn't get there. We got back to the B&B very tired and disappointed as we only had the date of arrival to visit the Cathedral. We were tired and told William that we will just rest up for our trip up north the next day. William wouldn't hear of it and offered to drive us to the Cathedral and even wait for us while we toured the Cathedral. We were embarrassed and did not want to trouble him but he insisted and took us in his car, acting as a tour guide he drove past many attractions and got us to the Cathedral. Once I knew the way, I asked if we could return to the B&B so I could drive us in our own car to the Cathedral and spend the evening around there. He recommended a few restaurants as we drove past them and took us back. We managed to drive back and attend evening song and then spent a lovely evening walking around. If it weren't for William, we would have just spent the evening in our room feeling sorry for our selves. Our room was at the top floor. As I was parking the car, my wife took a small suitcase in. An elderly woman insisted on carrying the bag upstairs and no matter how many times my wife tried, she insisted on taking it up. Breakfast was great. Although only street parking is available, William assured us that the area was safe and he was right. This is a family run B&B and William and his family could not be more hospitable, friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend Moor End Guest House.

Ich habe im Hotel für 10 Nächte geblieben, als ich Durham besuchte, um meiner jüngeren Schwester zu helfen. Vielen Dank an Colin und Mandy und das Rezeptionspersonal für ihre Begrüßung, Freundlichkeit und die Behandlung aller kleinen Probleme, die ich hatte. Insgesamt war mein Aufenthalt gut, abgesehen von der Hauspflege gelegentlich vergessen, mein Zimmer zu reinigen. ? Das ist wirklich eine Management-, Aufsichtsfrage. Die Mitarbeiter hatten auch Probleme und wurden mit einer riesigen ” irischen ” Hochzeit betont, die mich kaum beeinflusst, aber das Management muss wirklich auf ihre Prioritäten re regelmäßige Gäste v schnelle Gelder. Oder sicherstellen, dass zusätzliche Mitarbeiter und Sicherheit werden gerampt. Während ich am Health Club gegessen habe ich den Service hier von sehr effizient und hilfreich zu unglaublich langsam. Vielleicht braucht die Catering-Einrichtung spezielle Bereiche für Hotelgäste, die wirklich nicht die ganze Zeit in der Welt zu sparen !!. Vielen Dank noch einmal und viel Glück.

Wir gingen nach Seaham mit den Kindern zum Glasstrand und das war billig und wirklich sauber, was sehr gut war, plus das Schlafzimmer für uns war groß. Das Essen war gerade herausragend, besonders das ty Restaurant X die Kinder geliebt es und das Personal war freundlich, hilfsbereit x dankyou 🥰 xx

If you're picky, this probably isn't the place for you but if you're more the straightforward, no-nonsense type, it ticks all the boxes that matter. My room was clean and tidy, the bed comfortable and the breakfast kept me sated until late afternoon. If you have dietary requirements, though, you'll have to speak up. I was simply asked what time I'd like breakfast. There was no mention of options, vegan needs etc. I simply finished my toast and cereal and a glorious full English was put in front of me. My only dietary requirement is 'generous portions', so this approach worked perfectly for me but it won't suit everyone. The gentleman serving breakfast was a man of few words. Not rude or stand-offish, just reserved. If you loathe morning people and small talk in equal measure like I do, you'll love him. And as for the night before, don't worry about being away from the city centre. There's a Sainsburys and Vietnamese restaurant within easy walking distance, so you won't starve. The final plus point for me was the price of £43. £40-£50 cheaper than more central alternatives in a city that seems to think it's Kensington. I would definitely stay at The Shoes again.

The Queens Head is a lovely little BnB/Pub my partner and I both slept incredibly well, the room was spotless and the facilities were well maintained. The pub it’s self was lively with a friendly atmosphere, incredibly attentive staff and the breakfast was to die for. I could not recommend the eggs Benedict more. I would 100% stay here again and recommend it to my friends.

Absolutely fantastic. Rooms have style, bar is pleasant although not luxurious five star sofas. Staff pleasant and helpful. A lot of multitasking going on. Felt pleasant and the location is ideal to walk in to town. I think that I am very very likely to stay here again
