Wir besuchten eine Beerdigung in der Gegend und die Wach-/Rezeption fand in diesem Hotel statt. Als wir aus Sheffield reisen, beschlossen wir, die Nacht im Hotel zu bleiben. Das Personal im Hotel ist ausgezeichnet und die Zimmer sind von guter Qualität. Wir haben zwei Zimmer 1 Klassiker Doppelzimmer und 1 Komfort Doppelzimmer beide sind gut mit dem Komfort etwas kleiner, aber noch von guter Größe. Alle Zimmer hatten Kaffee- und Teezubereitungseinrichtungen und die Zimmer hatten auch ein anständiges WLAN-Signal. Wir reservierten für das Frühstücksbuffet und das war ausgezeichnet. Wir hatten überhaupt keine Beschwerden.

Es scheint eine negative Bewertung über die St. Leonard’s zu geben, aber nicht alles ist wahr, auf der Hauptstraße ist es leicht zugänglich in diese Einrichtung, ich wurde mit einem freundlichen Willkommen von Adriana begrüßt, Chrissi und John, die mich sehr willkommen mit einer großen Auswahl an Getränken und einem großen Menü machten! Das Essen und das Getränk war wunderbar und immer mit einem Lächeln serviert, würde ich definitiv empfehlen, dieses pub/Hotel und die Zimmer sind komfortabel und zu Hause! Danke Team. Großes Job!!

… no normal coffee - only decaf. We stayed here after getting married earlier in the day. Spoke to Sarah a year before our stay and she was so helpful. 6 rooms booked. No deposit required. We stayed in one of the superior rooms with the copper bath. Room was beautiful. I love a coffee late in the evening and first thing in the morning. Unfortunately the tray hadn’t been stocked up and we only had decaf. My wife - sounds weird saying it now - had a bath in the copper bath in the morning and thank goodness she didn’t have it before bed. The tap didn’t stop dripping. We’d have had that all night. Unfortunately as lovely as a 4 poster is when a post blocks the tv it’s annoying. Neither of us had a clear view. But we weren’t there to watch tv. It was just nice to chill for a bit. These are just small *******. The room really was lovely.

Wir liebten unseren Übernachtungsaufenthalt im Aaron Causeway Hotel. Unser Familienzimmer war sauber und geräumig mit drei ordentlichen Betten und einem en-suite-Badezimmer mit Dusche. Das Zimmer hatte eine große Kettle, Tee, Kaffee und Kuchen (frische Milch auf Anfrage). Wir hatten ein Abendessen im Restaurant unten, das sehr gut war, ein Kindermenü war auch verfügbar. Das Frühstück war großartig mit vielen verschiedenen Wahlen und guten Kaffee und Tee.

Where to start! Room was tiny and damp! Extractor in toilet not working! Staff slow. Food was below average. I asked for Chicken Tikka Masala, was told I had to have chips with it, as they had no Rice. My nephew had Mixed Grill, was the mankiest Piece of Chicken included. I’m Coeliac and enquired before booking about their ability to produce a Gluten Free meal and was told no problem. For breakfast all they did was exclude the Gluten containing items. I got two pieces of burnt Gluten Free bread, no butter. There was no cutlery, and I hunted out some for my fellow guests. Our table wasn’t cleared, not even when a second coffee arrived. Was just plopped down among the used items. And an hour or so later I passed the window and the table still wasn’t cleared. We were asked on booking-in what time we would like breakfast. We said 8am. Second morning we couldn’t gain access to the main building (we had been housed in what they called the ‘Annexe’) A guest staying in the main building let us in, but no sign of staff, everywhere was locked. She had booked 8.30. I tried to contact Marstons without success, apparently they don’t work weekends. Eventually a young lady arrived to start work and dismissed our complaints with the statement “we were busy last night, so we struggled to open on time” My breakfast this morning gained a Gluten containing sausage, as did Sunday’s, I removed the sausage and hoped no cross contamination had occurred. The whole place is dingy, run-down and in need of full restoration. Outside areas, including car park, dirty and rubbish strewn. Smoking takes place just outside main door, where you have to fight your way through the crowd of smokers, this included the staff as well. An old fire bucket was provided for butts, this hadn’t been emptied in a long time, was full and spilling onto the pavement. I remember this Hotel at its best, is the complete opposite now. Bar staff were poorly trained, I asked for an Orange Juice and Lemonade, I had to explain how she was to achieve this. She struggled with the till and had to seek help. Tea making facilities were included: except we didn’t have a kettle. I obtained one from reception, which hadn’t been cleaned or descaled. I cleaned it. Not even a teaspoon was provided. No bin in bathroom, no loo brush. Extremely cheap toilet paper. Sink emptied before finishing washing. Shower dripping. Bin in room had no bin bag, and was filthy. Room was tiny, a single at best with twin beds in. The towels and bed linen were clean and of reasonable quality. Duvet very efficient. My mattress was past its best, as many had sat on the edge to watch the TV.
