Beautiful location with an incredibly old characteristic building, friendly and helpful staff. Totally enjoyed my stay, if you get the chance to stay here I would highly recommend it. But please remember this is an old building so floorboards creak and doors will slam and walls may not be the thickest. It’s full of character and charm so if you want high end modern, this may not be the place for you. I loved it here and will definitely return

I'm currently staying at the hotel.i did stay here a number of years ago, and it was a good hotel then.i checked in and went to my room,it was quite dirty throughout. So i went to reception and asked to change to a cleaner room.I then looked at that,it was still dirty.back to reception, again try another room.it had a smell like an open sewer.so back again, at this point I asked to see the manager. What I need to point out is the reception staff and manager were very polite and friendly. I was told its an old building and during rain sometimes the drains back up and cause a smell.i explained the dirtiness of the rooms,stains on carpets and beds,peeling painted walls,and grime along surfaces, you could play noughts and crosses on the surfaces due to the amount of dust and grime.the remote controls were filthy.put you off picking one up.eventually I got a clean room.the manager took me to check it out herself. She was a nice lady who was doing what she could.after that I thought I'd watch a bit of TV.but all the channels had been programmed in the wrong way,just made it vert awkward to find a show.this morning at breakfast I went to restaurant and wanted a cup of coffee.went to machine and no cups,you have to ask to have one brought out.ok then.i ordered some pancakes of menu after 25 minutes 2 dried pancakes were brought out.ok ill have a glass of orange juice,lukewarm .the buffet,o asked for a gork as non at table ,a stained set of cutlery were provided to me.breakfast it's self was fine,no issues there.but overall breakfast experience a let down.at nearly £17 a head it should be better.though mine was part of the room rate.as you read through this review some parts may seem trivial ,possibly so.but it's the fact that when you add up all these small things it gives a overall bad experience. I have stayed a various holiday inns,and this isn't really up there.i was offered 2000 ihg reward points as a gesture from the manager. To put that into context,it costs around 20 000 points for a 1 night stay at a holiday inn. So really you can't do anything with 2000 points.a percentage of the bill would have been more appropriated.i think this hotel needs a major overall, and some of the staff retraining. The positives are the reception staff and manager.

Es muss mehr Lebensmittelwahl geben. Wartung IE-Änderungen oder Reparaturen an Türen oder Strahlern sollten nicht befördert werden, während die Gäste entspannen, arbeiten oder spät schlafen. In 2 Fällen Wartungspersonal arbeitete mehrere Stunden ruinieren meinen Aufenthalt. Sehr sehr laut.

We stayed at the Hartford Hall for one night which was way more than enough. The hotel looks really nice from the online pictures and most reviews are pretty positive although I have to wonder if they stayed in the same place as we did. We arrived at the hotel around 4.30pm on a Friday afternoon and waited to checkin at a small booth in the main bar. No one was there but the barman was friendly and told us someone would be with us soon. The guy who checked us in was very friendly and gave us our room key for ”Clotton” room. We made our way through the bar towards an outbuilding which was where the rooms were located along a smelly corridor with filthy carpets. There were lots of dogs in the bar and some very small children (toddlers) just wondering around, it felt like a kennel come creche!! Our room cost £105 breakfast not included, and was quite spacious with a large bed and was nice and warm. But within minutes we could smell a musty damp aroma which was coming from the bathroom. All appeared clean and dry so we turned the bathroom lights on and the extraction fan started. This controlled the smell. We popped down to the bar for some light food as we were going into Northwich for dinner later. We ordered garlic bread with cheese, buttermilk chicken and fries. This small plate selection came to just under £19. The food arrived and the buttermilk batter was burnt, and we are still looking for the cheese that was supposed to be on the garlic bread. The food was really poor and the whole place seemed to be trying to be something that it's not. We came back to the room for a shower and this was when we realised why the room was musty. The shower try is too small and there was no glass screen at the end of the shower so water sprayed everywhere. We had to use all the hand towels to keep the floor dry. It was a real mess. We went out for the evening and came back to the hotel at bang on 11pm and were looking forward to a few drinks. We went to the bar only to be told ”we are closed”!!! So off to bed we went. Our room was right angles to the pub which was located on the very end of the building and parallel to a very busy road. The room had old and ineffective double glazing and so we had constant road noise all night. Neither of us slept and was one of the worst experiences we have had in a hotel. At 8.30am we checked out. We mentioned to the lady who was at the check in desk that we had had an awful night to which she replied ”yes the road is noisy”. We also mentioned that we couldn't get a drink last night and her reply was ”we are a pub with rooms, not a hotel”. We will never eat or stay here again and definitely would not recommend. It's awful.

Entschlossen, als Reisen von Cotswolds nach Whiston für einen Krankenhausbesuch zu buchen. Sooo freut uns, dass wir es getan haben! Ausgezeichnete Lage. Schöne Außen- und einfache Parkplätze. Sehr warme Willkommen bei Ankunft und sehr einfach zu buchen. Personal ist glücklich, glücklich, hilfsbereit und angenehm nicht nur für die Kunden, sondern auch für einander. Dies ist in dieser Industrie heute eine seltene Zeit und ist herzlich zu sehen und zu treffen. Das Zimmer war ziemlich groß, so war das Badezimmer. Alle Zimmer sind hinter dem Gebäude mit einer sehr gemütlichen und angenehmen Passage zu ihnen. Ein warmes, ruhiges und ruhiges Nachts schlafen in einem sehr komfortablen Zimmer. Wir haben hier gegessen und auch Frühstück. Nichts war zu viel beunruhigt. Teile für das Abendessen waren auf der großzügigen Seite und das Essen war lecker. Ich würde sagen, dieses Hotel ist ein kleines Gemell und würde jederzeit zurückkehren. Ich habe es bereits an die Familie empfohlen!

We stayed just one night as going to a birthday party locally. It was just an easy, hassle-free stay. Friendly owner. We didn't have time to use the pub or restaurant but it all looked good and reasonable prices. Our room was comfortable, well equipped and very well priced. Parking was easy and we felt safe leaving luggage in the car as we had arrived from a longer trip elsewhere. Would definitely recommend.

Das Hotel sagt seinen Hund freundlich, das ist wahr, aber es ist nicht klar auf ihrer Website, dass nicht alle Zimmer sind Hund freundlich, so dass das Oberzimmer, das wir gebucht hatten, wurde abgegradiert, und ein £20 Gebühr hinzugefügt als Gebühr für den Hund. Wenn Sie Hunde freundlich sind, dann stellen Sie sicher, dass Sie dies vollständig in der Website reflektieren. Abendessen im Restaurant, das Personal war sehr freundlich und effizient. Es würde scheinen, dass das vollständige Online-Menü im Restaurant nicht verfügbar ist , eine abgeschnittene Version. OK. Wir wurden angewiesen, dass der Thai Green Curry nicht verfügbar war. OK. Wir bestellten, bald danach, wir wurden angewiesen, dass das Bier geschlagene Zwiebelringe auch aus dem Menü war. Hmm, also ist nicht jeder frisch gekocht, sondern aus dem Gefrierschrank gezogen. Selbst ein durchschnittlicher Koch konnte es schaffen, einen Batterie und kochen Zwiebelringe, nicht schwierig . Recht, das Zimmer ist gut, aber keine Fähigkeit, die Wärme zu regulieren, verringert die Öffnung auf den Fenstern, half nicht. Recht, Frühstück. Wir kamen um 8:40 Uhr, das Restaurant war ziemlich leer. Wir wurden zum Tisch genommen. Das Personal schien völlig uninteressant. Wir gingen zur Buffetbar, keine Eier, fragten und wurde empfohlen, sie zu bestellen gekocht. Also bestellten wir zwei gemahlene Eier und zwei gemahlene Eier. Nein. Sie können nicht gemahlene Eier nur gemahlen oder geschrotet machen. Das bestätigt, dass nichts wirklich gekocht wird. Keine Eier, sind sie ernst? Der Schrauben kam es scheint in etwas Flüssigkeit zu schwimmen, nicht angenehm. Recht die kalte Buffetbar sah arm aus, der Joghurt war leer. Kein weißes Brot zu Toasten. Die Mitarbeiter waren nicht beunruhigt, zu fragen, ob wir unseren Kaffee aufzutauchen wollten. Genau um 9:00 Uhr setzte das Personal in Aktion und löste das heiße Essen. Ich fragte, wann sie aufhörten, antworteten sie 9:30, aber sie lösten alles um 9:00 Uhr. Bezahlende Kunden, die nach 9 aufstanden, sahen sich enttäuscht auf das leere heiße Buffet. Die uninteressante Stsff musste gehen und das Essen aus der Küche.Ich habe in einer großen Anzahl von Hotels von Gästehäusern bis zu 5 Sternen geblieben, aber ich habe nie eine solche schlechte Einstellung beim Frühstück gesehen, ein Versagen, ein Ei zu frischen.
