When we pulled into the car park we thought we had made a grave mistake as the frontage of the hotel looked unloved and untidy. Once in the hotel it was apparent that a refurb was in progress and it looked clean and tidy. There was no dinner available but we went into nearby Leeds and had plenty of choice. Breakfast was good and we found staff friendly and helpful. It was incredibly good value and a good overnight stop.

We have just stayed here for 2 nights for a local event. The hotel is very clean,warm and homely. It has a cottage feel about it and the owners are very friendly and helpful. Room lovely,very comfortable and relaxing. The breakfast was delicious,freshly prepared and good choice too. Thank you for a lovely stay

I just wanted to mention that me and two of my colleagues came in earlier in the week (for the first time) for some food as we have recently moved in to a new office in the area and we were all very impressed with the level of good old fashioned customer service that we received from Trish. She really went above and beyond and it was hugely appreciated. We will definitely be visiting again and just wanted to say thank you. Luke

Ich ging zum Vordertafel um Ortungsleitlinien, als ich auf der Autobahn verloren und das Personal war wirklich hilfreich und nett, zwei Damen eine mit kurzen rosa Haar und eine mit blonden Haaren, so wunderschön und beruhigend. Es ist so schön, Menschen wie diese zu sehen, vor allem für jüngere Generationen, sie haben mir sogar eine gedruckte Version von Karten zu meinem Weg nach Hause gegeben. Keine Ahnung, was ich hätte stattdessen getan xxx

Mein Freund und ich buchen uns und unseren 6-jährigen Töchtern einen Nachmittagsthee. Was für eine Erfahrung war es ... die Mädchen wurden wie Prinzessin behandelt. Der Service war fantastisch, und das Personal war so gut mit den Mädchen, sogar an dem Ende eine Eiscreme anbieten! Das Essen war schön präsentiert und geschmackvoll. Eine große Vielfalt. Die Schöne waren auf der Stelle, und die Mädchen waren so aufgeregt mit den Kuchen. Youssef war fantastisch und begeistert all unsere Bedürfnisse, wir sagten ihm, auf dem Weg raus, es war der beste Nachmittagsthee, den wir je hatten. Ich kann diesen Ort nicht empfehlen genug,... Schöne Umgebung, wunderschönes Essen und eine wunderbare Erfahrung für uns und die Mädchen.

Overnight stop on our way north. Great location just off the A1. We really enjoyed our stay here, such a friendly place with the loveliest staff. The receptionist was funny and welcoming, the bar staff were great and the wonderful lady taking the breakfast order was a delight. The manager (Chris I think) was fabulous, so friendly and attentive. By chance, we were staying on the evening of their quiz (Tuesday). It's all done by mobile, meaning that we could eat dinner while doing the quiz and hosted by Chris. It was great fun, and it was obvious that there are a really nice bunch of locals who come for the quiz ( but the Tartan Travellers still managed a pretty decent third place!). The food was lovely, my wife and I both had the sea bass which was delicious, and the breakfast was really good. The bar and restaurant areas are really nice, with the only small gripe being the bedroom. It was definitely in need of a bit of an upgrade, and has a hole in the floor which my wife ( who has mobility issues) tripped on several times. We had to put toilet roll on the floor over the hole so that she could avoid it. This did not spoil our stay, the bed was comfortable, there are tea and coffee making facilities and as previously stated the bar and restaurant are great. A bit of tlc in the rooms would really lift the place. Overall a pleasant stay and the hotel should be proud of their staff if not the quality of the room!.

Had such an amazing experience was meeting family I'd not seen in ages so that in its self was exciting for me. Then was served by Macey in the bar area who joined us for a chat and was just such a pleasant girl who was so welcoming and just gave us amazing service throughout the evening. All the staff were friendly and very attentive GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! ***** The hotel is of a high cleanliy standard and the room smelt lush dont know what it was. This is definitely a place I would recommend and will definitely return. Thanks to all the team.
