tolles Hotel, tolles Zimmer. Ich habe einen Schuss Baileys für 4 Pfund bekommen. Ich hätte gedacht, es wäre ein volles Glas, aber das war es nicht. Der Pool war an unserem 2. Tag dort fantastisch, wir gingen zum 2. Mal schwimmen und fragten nach einem Schlüssel für die Schließfächer die Umkleidekabine der Familie, die umständlich war, da dort kleine Kinder waren. Insgesamt war es ein guter Aufenthalt und würde wiederkommen.

This is such a lovely place to stay, the reception team are very attentive and helpful, the rooms, depending upon the time of year you stay, are invariably brilliant, clean and tidy, the breakfast food, always lovely and hot. Disappointed with the state of the driveway, this is the only thing that lets the place down, beyond that, it is superb.

Stayed 2 nights for a wedding. Check in went smoothly. 2 single beds in room very comfy.3 coat hangers for 2 people to hang wedding outfits and 2 days /Night outfits!!!. Carpet in room was stained and needed a good clean or better still replacing.the bathroom !!!! I think its had a refurb but they forgot to replace the bath.where the bath panel meets the top of the bath was disgusting all it needs is a toothbrush to clean the gunge out.maybe the housekeepers need extra time in each room to get them up to scratch. We ate in the dining room on our first night. I had the steak and ale raised pie it was the best ive ever tasted. My 3 companions all had fish and chips which they all enjoyed but they could not eat it all( very large portions).we had breakfast 2 mornings could not fault it there was such a good choice. Full english, croissants and pastries, cereals, toast and fruit juice. The dining room and kitchen staff get 10 out of 10. But as i said earler housekeeping not up to standard 6 out of 10

Check in easy, lady on reception extremely helpful and polite. Observations Room 8 - doorknob and lock could do with replacing, a good tug and it could probably have come off in the hand. The bed is a small double and the mattress is a cheap one. Why hotels are not all using firm memory foam mattresses is beyond me. Quality of sleep is the most important thing when away. Thankfully only had one night here as my back would have not put up with another. Pillows (qty 3) were flat and provided little or no support and had to ask for another one which was provided but no better. No telephone to call reception even though the card in the room with information on tells you about phone. Fire escape picture not in a immediate location to see and when we did find it - it was not for that room!!! No plug in the sink. Only 1 bath and 1 hand towel provided for both of us. Had to ask for another set. Shower was ok when you eventually got hot water (had to run the shower for a good 10 minutes before any hot water ran through) - the shower was rusty and the tray that you put your shower things on had been broken off which left sharp exposed edges which could cause injury. Breakfast was nice but no alternatives were offered if you didn't want mushrooms (an additional item should be offered instead). Plenty of juice and drinks available along with cereals. Now I am no snob by any means and it should not matter how much or how little you pay for your room, you should get value for money. You should be able to have a restful nights sleep but this wasn't the case for us. I mentioned this to the chap on check out and he stated he would let the owners know. Before we left, a visit to the toilets was had, the ladies - well i have never been to a bathroom where you have to squeeze into the cubicle as they are that small that they hit the toilet!! On the back of the door was an advert stating it was the best hotel to hold a wedding etc and my first reaction was really???? Sadly I would not use this hotel again.

Das Hotel war nur um OK. Wie andere fanden wir die Rezeption ein wenig fross. Sehr viel des Hotels brauchte eine Renovierung. Das Zimmer war OK, aber von alten Radiator so wenig Kontrolle über die Temperatur geheizt. Unser Zimmer (9) war am Abend kalt und am Morgen heiß. Nach einem Tag Tour gingen wir zurück, um zu finden, dass es nicht gefertigt war. Ich musste nach unten auf die Rezeption für mehr Kaffee und Milch, leeren Sie den Gummi-Bin und gehen Sie aus dem Zimmer,(noch am nächsten Morgen) und zeitgemäße Badehandtücher und machen Sie eigenes Bett. Offensichtlich, wenn Sie Ihr Zimmer serviert wollen, müssen Sie bei der Rezeption fragen. Aber dann wäre es natürlich nützlich, wenn Sie sich dieser Tatsache bei der Eincheckung bewusst werden. Es hat nicht im Hotel gegessen, also keine Kommentare zum Lebensmittelservice. Ich denke insgesamt nur etwa ausreichend für den Vorauskaufpreis für den zwei Nachtaufenthalt gezahlt.
