Wir zahlten für ein Doppelzimmer mit Aussicht und die Aussicht ist wunderschön! Das Zimmer war sauber und hatte eine anständige Größe. Eine Flasche Prosecco, die bei der Ankunft auf uns wartete, war eine nette Geste. Alle Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und helfen gerne weiter. Das Frühstück ist lecker und gut zubereitet. Der Parkplatz ist klein, aber wir hatten keine Probleme, einen Platz zu bekommen. Eine kleine Beschwerde war, dass das Zimmer vor unserer Ankunft nicht gesaugt worden war und etwas schmuddelig war. Es gibt kein Restaurant vor Ort - Sie müssen zum Schwesterhotel die Straße hinunter gehen, was etwas enttäuschend ist, wenn Sie am Abend essen möchten. Insgesamt hatten wir einen schönen Aufenthalt, schön und ruhig und sehr komfortabel. Wir kommen gerne wieder :)

We visited with family in July 2024 and stayed for one night. While the area was lovely, the food and rooms were very disappointing. Stay somewhere else! We arrived after a long drive, and were shown to our rooms. We then proceeded to the bar for drinks, awaiting our 7:45 dinner reservation. Although we arrived long before 7:45, we were not seated until after 8:45, and then only after multiple inquiries. The food was good, but we were all starving by the time it arrived. After finishing a very late dinner, we returned to our room to discover that we had not received any turn down service. (I’m not sure whether the hotel doesn’t provide turn down service, or this was an oversight.) In any event, upon removing the throw pillows from our bed, we discovered that the sheets were covered in hair. I raised this with a staff member, who quickly changed the sheets. No other apology was offered. We left early the next morning and, needless to say, we will not be back.

Bewertung des Aufenthaltes im Temperance Inn. Wie bereits erwähnt, ist dies meine ehrliche Meinung zu unserem kürzlich geplanten Aufenthalt im The Temperance Inn auf der Lake Road, Ambleside im Seebezirk.. Der Aufenthalt war für fünf Nächte im September 2023 und war für ein paar. Die Schlafzimmer sind gut mit komfortablen Betten und einer ausgezeichneten Dusche, mit Handtüchern ausgestattet. Es gibt keine Parkplätze auf der Website, Wenn Sie kein Auto haben oder wenn Sie nicht wollen, Ihr Auto zu benutzen, dann ist die Busbahnhof in sehr nahe, nur um die Ecke. Die Buszeittabellen sind im Buchhaus direkt gegenüber der Busstation verfügbar.

The Regent Hotel which we have been visiting for many years is no longer and is now named Wateredge Rooms connected to the Wateredge Hotel over the road. As usual we stayed four nights and the Breakfast experience on the first morning was one not to be repeated so we walked into Ambleside to other Cafes for the rest of our stay. There were only 8-10 people in the Breakfast area when we entered all Buffet type arrangements and certainly not inviting. Coffee and Toasting arrangements totally inadequate for large numbers and accidents will occur. I did complete the Inn Collection Survey and contacted them by email. The response was one of little interest and said they were ”continuously training staff to be the best they can be”. It wasn't a staff issue they were fine its the fact they have brought two Hotels together to reduce costs without any consideration to customer service. We certainly won't be returning.

Das traditionelle britische kleine Hotel im Untergeschoss ist eine Bar. Es bietet britisches Frühstück. Das Zimmer ist eine Holzstruktur ➕ nach der Änderung. Das gesamte Hotel ist voller Bilder und Fotografie über die Seeregion. Die Rezeption ist sehr freundlich. Aber beachten Sie, dass es 20 Minuten zu Fuß von Ambleside entfernt ist.

Insgesamt hatten wir einen schönen kurzen Pauschal im Wasserhaus. Große Lage mit Blick über den See. Ich fahren nicht so benutzte öffentliche Verkehrsmittel, die leicht vom Hotel zugänglich waren. Das Personal war hilfsbereit und freundlich nichts für viele Probleme. Das Frühstück war großartig mit kaltem Buffet und eine Auswahl an kochenden Speisen, die auf Ihrem Tisch serviert wurde. Gute Auswahl an Speisen für Abendessen, obwohl ein wenig preiswert, aber was Sie in der Seebezirk erwarten würden. Unser Zimmer war ohne Spott sauber, aber sehr warm, auch mit beiden Fenstern offen. Es gab Tee, Kaffee, warme Schokolade in den Zimmern. Viele verschiedene Tee aus wählen, aber nur die eine Art Kaffee wäre schön, eine Auswahl aus Kaffee zu haben, als nicht jeder ein Tee-Trinker, sondern dass nur persönliche Wahl. Es war ein ganz lautes Zimmer, besonders mit Fenstern offen, aber neben einer Hauptrunde nur das, was Sie erwarten würden. Der Feueralarm ging ein paar Mal am Abend/Früh abend, wir gingen zum Treffensort, aber es gab einige Leute, die noch im Bar sitzen und das Personal, das noch bediente, während der Alarm ausging. Bei der Ermittlung wurde gesagt, es geht immer nur ein Fehler. Ich denke, jemand hätte zum Treffen kommen müssen, um die Situation zu erklären, anstatt Menschen verwirrt zu lassen, warum einige das Gebäude evakuiert haben und andere nicht.

Just had a 3 night stay at this lovely hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Our room was right near the entrance which was perfect as we had the dogs with us. Because we had the dogs our breakfast was set up in the lounge, which was so lovely and peaceful. The breakfast was gorgeous. Our room was spotlessly clean as was the whole hotel. Kettle with cups and saucers were in the room with plenty of tea, coffee, milk etc and if you run out you can help yourself from reception. The bedding and towels, all beautiful and white. The bed was so comfortable too. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The hotel is in a lovely setting. The only downside was the weather as it rained everyday more or less whilst we were there. If ever in Ambleside again we would not hesitate to stay there again and would recommend this hotel.

Ein fantastisches Hotel zum Preis. Das Hotel ist einfach und sauber ohne Lounge oder Essensräume, aber ich bin lieber draußen und um so das passt mir, es gibt viele Cafés, Bars und Restaurants in Ambleside so ein Grundzimmer ist alles ypu und es ist mit Lillys Bar neben der Tür verbunden, die auch Das Zimmer war warm, komfortabel und schön eingerichtet, unser Zimmer hatte einen schönen Eisenfeuerplatz und es gab viel Platz im Zimmer. Die einzigen Beschwerden, die ich habe ist Parkplatz ist ein bisschen aus, wenn der Weg so schwierig, wenn Sie viele Gepäck haben und Sie einen Platz zu parken und prüfen, bevor sie Ihnen sagen, wo zu parken, aber wir konnten einen 30min Paketplatz über die Straße zu fangen Entladen so war es kein Problem für uns. Die Dusche schien nur 2 Einstellungen sehr kalt oder so schüttelt nur eine, um vor allem mit jüngeren Kindern vorsichtig zu sein. Insgesamt ein schönes Zimmer in einem fantastischen beliebten kleinen Dorf zu einem großen Preis.

Hillsdale is by far the best B&B (or hotel, for that matter) that I've ever been luck enough to stay in. From the moment I arrived and was greeted by Steve, I knew I was staying somewhere great. The B&B itself is in a fantastic location, right in Ambleside meaning nothing is further than a five minute walk away. The availability of a parking space is a massive bonus as anyone familiar with the Lake District will know, and it's lovely knowing your car is secure on the days you don't need it. The rooms within the Hillsdale are beaautifully decorated, and the breakfasts - wow! You need to stay for a week just to try all the options! Absolutely delicious every morning. As for Steve and Caz, what can I say that hasn't already been said? You just couldn't meet two friendlier, funnier and nicer people. Nothing at all was a problem for them, they're so easy to talk to, and their knowledge of the area and suggestions for restaurants, places of interest etc were all spot on. I can totally understand why so many reviews include people saying they can't wait to get back, and I'm now one of them. Top tips - Definitely book your restaurants in advance if looking to eat in Ambleside. Every night I saw people trying to book there and then only to find out the place had been booked up for weeks. Also, take advantage of the £2 bus fare through to Keswick or Grasmere as it saves the nightmare (and cost) of trying to find a parking space.
