Plane deinen Aufenthalt in Sancerre

A beautiful family run hotel in a stunning location. The staff were extremely helpful and the room was delightful. We stayed in the Regency room which was on the ground floor and overlooked the restaurant just across the road. I was a little disappointed that there was no view of the river as I had booked a 'superior' double, but the four poster bed and tea making facilities made up for it! The room was clean and spacious and the bed very comfortable with more pillows in the wardrobe if needed, Good air conditioning and no noise from the road if you keep the windows closed. Parking is a little problematic if you arrive in the middle of the day when the restaurants across the road are serving lunch. We had to walk quite a way with our luggage. The staff are always on hand first thing in the morning, whilst breakfast is being served, and then again for a couple of hours in the afternoon when they are checking in new guests which means there are a lot of hours when the front door is locked (but you do have a key). There is no outside seating at all but we found lots of nice benches alongside the river when we needed some evening air. The main downside of this hotel: we would have liked a fridge in the room and there was very little choice at breakfast.

Bei unserem Eintreffen in unser Zimmer entdecken wir viele Muscheln auf dem Dach in den Ecken. Einige Muscheln sind sogar in Spinnereien gefangen gehalten. Andere fallen auf dem Büro und am Rand des Lavabos. Ich komme zurück zur Rezeption, um zu verhindern und sie zu bitten, eine Lösung zu finden. Man sagt: ”Ah, das ist das berühmte Zimmer, wir wissen es, andere Kunden haben uns letzte Woche gewarnt. Das ist auf die Neonen, die in dem Zimmer angezündet wurden, wenn die Damen das Haus machen. Das Hotel ist komplett. Wir können Sie nicht von Zimmer wechseln. Wir werden reinigen. Während dieser Zeit fahren Sie mit Ihrem Gepäck in den Frühstücksraum zurück.“ Es ist 22 Uhr, wir sind müde von der langen Autofahrt, aber wir gehorchen. Wir warten über 10 Minuten, während der wir einige Würmer beobachten, die auf dem Frühstücksbuffet gehen, das wir am nächsten Morgen für 3 Personen vorbezahlt haben .... Wenn wir wussten .... Als wir ins Zimmer kamen, kamen die Mäusen schnell wieder an den gleichen Orten. Ich habe dann Fotos gemacht und filmt. Einige fällten sogar auf das Bett überlappend oder meine Tochter musste schlafen und in unsere Schnurrbarken. No especial attention de la part de l’hôtel pour le dommage subi malgré nos observations. Pas de responsable à qui s’adresser malgré notre demande. Nous avons payé 88 € pour 2 adultes et un enfant. Nous ne reviendrons jamais là
