Finde Hotels in Saint-Palais-sur-Mer

Visited for two nights with friends staying in ‘superior’ rooms. Met by proprietor who didn’t seem to speak English and as I didn’t speak French there was no conversation. Described as a superior room we were very disappointed. It was small with a king size bed, open plan shower/sink and separate toilet. A few coat hangers but no wardrobe. We found the king size bed very comfortable. The air conditioner worked and was effective. There were 2 dressing gowns but we did not use them. The patio door had a faulty lock and although the proprietor seemed to work it I wasn’t able to and left it unlocked the entire stay. TV had no English speaking channels. Although the room is described as having toiletries there was only a soap dispenser by the sink and a shower gel dispenser in the shower. There was an outside patio area with a table and chairs which was fairly private. Breakfast consisted of different breads and jams, croissants, plain yogurt, fruit juice and limited amount of fruit plus tea or coffee. As there were four adults in our party there was never enough plain croissants available. Not very inspiring. In fact on the first morning the proprietor started clearing the breakfast table before we had finished which we didn’t think appropriate. I would describe the room as standard rather than superior. Outside however was superior in many ways. A lovely swimming pool surrounded by different seating areas creating a relaxing environment. Sadly our weather during our stay prevented us from using these facilities.

Im August hatten wir ein Zimmer mit einem Doppelbett und einem Einzelbett für zwei Nächte gewählt. Sehr guter Empfang: sowohl diskret, aber effizient. Das Zimmer ist nicht groß, aber ausreichend, weil wir es nur am Abend behandeln. Eine schöne Überraschung: hinter der Unterkunft, eine schöne kleine Patio, um ein ausgezeichnetes Frühstück mit vielen Dingen zu Hause zu nehmen. Das Hotel befindet sich sehr gut vor einem Strand und in der Nähe des Hafens, aus dem die Kreuzfahrtboote gehen. Einziger Hik, keine Parkplätze in der Nähe. Der Sommer ist ein bisschen schwierig. Nicht sehr gut geräuschlos, aber gut ...Nicht sehr schwer.
