Perhaps it was because we came in winter, but this hotel did not live up to previous reviews. It was very much a mixed bag across the board. I've rounded down the stars as I'd give this 2.5 if I could, as it's definitely not a 3 star place currently. The Good - Comfy bed, nice linen - Comfort in the room in general - Cleanliness - Eco friendly large bottles of good quality soap shampoo etc - Location for leaving the city for day trips The average - General location - this will be off-putting for some people as it's in housing estates (and not affluent ones), it's about a 16min walk to the tram station, and very narrow roads driving in making it hard to get to (cars parked all along the sides) - Road noise - constant but only an issue if you open the window which we needed to as the room was very warm and air con wasn't cold, tho not surprising as it's winter (I expect it wasn't turned on) - Parking - in a caged/ gated section, wouldn't like to be here at a peak time as it was almost full the two nights we stayed The bad - Breakfast - very disappointing, not much choice at all, no effort put into it, no hot foods. Photos online definitely don't represent what's on offer at least at this time. - In room TV - while a nice TV, no movie channel and no way to connect an external device or log into any of your own services - WiFi - did not work the entire time we were there (this was not the individual hotel's fault but that of IHG and really for such a huge chain inexcusable) - Staff morale - while everyone was friendly, no one did more than was expected to the point that when asking about finding a particular regional dish in the city, we were told ”I have no idea, just ring some of the restaurants” Bordeaux is a lovely city, as is the region as a whole. I can't recommend this hotel unless you need to be in that area particularly or are only passing through for a night. I've stayed in Holiday Inns before and while cosmetically this is one of the newest/ nicest, it left a bitter taste in the mouth. We've been staying in lots of hotels in France so far, and this has been the worst experience, for example the following night at a very old and cheap chain hotel in Biarritz next to the airport, we had an incredible breakfast, zero noise with the window open, and wonderful and helpful service (despite France losing the final).

Calme et propre

Das Hotel ist ziemlich gut gelegen, 10 Minuten zu Fuß vom Zug. Sehr ruhig und gut vor dem Lärm der Rockaden mit der Lärmschutzwand geschützt. Zimmer, Dach, sehr saubere und renovierte Badezimmer, klimatisiert und mit unbegrenzten WiFi-Zugang zuverlässig. Sehr empfehlenswert und aufmerksames Personal. Kurz gesagt, ein sehr komfortabeles und sehr angenehmes Hotel, das einen dritten Stern verdient! Es wird für mittel- und langen Aufenthalten empfohlen!

Das IBIS Hotel verfügt über sehr saubere Zimmer mit Klimaanlage und Flachbild-TV. An der Sauberkeit der sanitären Anlagen gab es nichts zu meckern. Es war alles sehr sauber. Das Bett war auch sehr sauber und bequem. Die Zimmer können nur mit einer Code-Karte betreten werden und sind somit sehr sicher. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und sehr lecker. Das Personal war sehr nett, freundlich und hilfsbereit. 24Stunden Rezeption. Kreditkartenzahlung ist auch möglich. Es gibt reichlich Parkplätze. Sehenswürdigkeiten, Museen, Kirchen, Restaurants, Cafe usw. können nicht zu Fuss erreicht werden. Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel befinden sich aber in unmittelbarer Nähe. Sehr guter Fernstreckenanschluss. Würde hier wieder übernachten, sofern ich in Bordeaux bin. Sehr empfehlenswert.

We've been going to Premiere Classe hotels now for years on our way through France, but have decided now that they have had their day. The washing section is much more cramped than their current competitors' and the towel is tiny. While the bed itself is reasonably comfortable, the one pillow they offer is now so thin and so small (half a normal pillow size) that it offers no support at all and makes for an uncomfortable night. While some may say these egg-box hotels are ok for a 1-night stay, I would say they're not if you don't sleep. I'm afraid these hotels are now Derniere Classe. No more, thank you.

Excellent hotel. Everything new. Comfortable bed and mattress. Nice decoration. Bathroom was five stars. Free parking and secure. Staff very friendly and helpful. Didn't have breakfast so I can't tell if it's good. The best hotel I've stayed near the motorway and at a good price

This is the 6th year we have used this hotel for our annual drive down to Spain and back with our 2 dogs. This is a great location for a pit stop just off the motorway and opposite a really lovely park and almost next door to a supermarket and fuel garage, perfect for our stopover, but this hotel is much more than a bedroom, the restaurant/bar is lovely, but the jewel in the crown is the staff, they are so welcoming and friendly and doing everything they can to make your stay memorable, a particular star is Jonas, what a legend, even remembers my name. Well done campanile, you have made our arduous journey a little bit easier every year.
