Das Einzige, was sie einem über dieses Hotel nicht sagen, ist, dass im Westfield Shopping Centre nebenan große Bauarbeiten durchgeführt werden und das gesamte B&B Hotel Tag für Tag davon betroffen ist. Nachts war es ruhig, aber die Arbeiten begannen um etwa 8 Uhr morgens und dauerten den ganzen Tag. Das ganze Gebäude bebte und wo immer man stand, hörte es sich an, als würde eine riesige Tunnelbohrmaschine gleich durch die Wände kommen. Es war fast unmöglich, sich wegen des Lärms miteinander zu unterhalten. Wir buchten über ******* und was mich erstaunt ist, dass sie es immer noch in ihrer Liste aufnehmen, obwohl wir ihnen von dem schrecklichen Lärm erzählt haben. Wir hatten Mitleid mit dem Personal des Hotels, weil sie den Lärm und die Beschwerden jeden Tag ertragen mussten. Sie waren sehr verständnisvoll, als wir sagten, dass wir das nicht ertragen könnten. Wir kamen nachmittags für eine Siesta zurück und entschieden, dass wir den Lärm nicht ertragen konnten, also checkten wir aus und buchten ein Airbnb-Apartment, das entzückend war. Das Hotelzimmer selbst war alles andere als perfekt, mit kaputten Lampenschirmen neben dem Bett. Dies ist eine sehr einfache Unterkunft. Das Hotel erstattete uns eine von drei Nächten. ******* übernimmt keinerlei Verantwortung. Wenn Sie Versailles besuchen möchten, sollten Sie wissen, dass dieses Hotel NICHT zu Fuß vom Schloss und seinen Gärten erreichbar ist. Es ist eine teure UBER-Fahrt entfernt.

Unser Aufenthalt war perfekt für das, was Sie in einer südlichen Lage erwarten können - sauber und komfortabel Zimmer, ein grundlegendes Frühstücksbuffet und Parkplatz. Die kostenlose Parkplätze waren in diesem Bereich besonders schön, obwohl die Parkplätze klein ist, so dass Sie nicht sicher können einen Ort mit sehr spät ankommen erwarten. Unser Ein- und Auschecken war ziemlich einfach und der Frühstücksservice war auch gut.

My review of this hotel is 5 stars for one very specific reason, this hotel was quiet and it was on a busy street! My family has stayed here several times but this was my first. I can see why they like staying here. The hotel has a feature I haven't seen anywhere else during my travels which is a set of 2 doors between each room and the hallway. This helps with noise reduction from people tremendously! In addition, thr quality of the room was on point for the star level. Would recommend and would stay here again!

We visited just for the weekend and what an amazing time it was. The staff on reception were professional and welcoming, speaking a number of different languages, including English, as did all the staff we encountered during our stay. I was so thankful for this as I saw one of the reviews which stated an expectation to speak French, this was simply not the case for us. We had a fabulous spacious 4th floor room on the park side with a small balcony. The bed was by far the most comfortable hotel bed I have slept in so far and the slippers provided, a much better quality that those in other hotels and we have been to a fair few. The bathroom was great, but just a word of caution if having a soak in the tub as it’s very prone to slipping due to the shape. A rubber mat for inside the bath is provided for you to use. Breakfast was a buffet only (no menu) and was very limited, although you can order a number of different egg dishes. There was just one chef and a bit of a queue. I don’t think this was unusual as there was a polite notice asking guests to come back once they have placed their order, which I did and maybe I shouldn’t have as it seemed that my order was then put on the back burner. I know this as I saw countless others guest getting their orders in and receiving their dishes before me. It’s only when I approached the station that the chef then went to get my order. The eggs Benedict received was ok but very close to being hard boiled and I prefer a runny yolk. The breakfast experience overall was ok, with staff being very polite when you asked them something, but this could have been better by them checking in to see if we had everything we needed, e.g. more coffee. I always think when it comes to hotels and indeed in life that ‘you don’t know what you don’t know’ and so far this year we’ve had exceptional service at breakfast from the Westin Palace Madrid and a truly amazing buffet with options to order extra dishes at the Ritz Carlton in Vienna, both of which renewed my faith in the hotel breakfast experience, so I know more can be done here at this hotel. We didn’t swim in the pool but it was a good size. The gym was amazing if you like like to keep your exercise up whilst away and the staff were very friendly. A tip for guests wanting to visit Versailles Palace & gardens, get you tickets from the concierge if you haven’t booked in advance. Indeed we hadn’t booked in advance and there were no tickets on the website when looked, so we were so relieved when we asked the concierge about this. One of the highlights of our stay has to be the view from our balcony at night of the Bastille fireworks, this was simply outstanding and totally unexpected, an experience which we aim to replicate next year and will return. The reason we've given the Hotel des Lys 4 stars rather than 3 is the location. Just around the corner from the Market Place in the centre of Versailles where there are lots of bars and restaurants and a fairly short walk to the Palace of Versailles. The hotel itself is ok - a little bit dingy in the public areas but our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The car park is difficult to access p a very narrow alley at the side of the hotel and once you've got in, it's very difficult to make a 3-point turn. We booked the hotel as the first stop on a two week tour of the Loire Valley based on previous reviews and we'd certainly recommend it if you want to be central and have easy access to the Palace

In der Stadt Versailles ist es 15 Minuten zu Fuß vom Palast Versailles entfernt. Es ist sehr gut, dass wir uns voraussichtlich um 3 Uhr im Hotel aufhalten können. Es ist nicht zu erwarten, dass wir am Morgen im Hotel ankommen. Die Einrichtungen sind komplett. Die Toilette ist sauber und sauber.

We booked for a short stay as we stopped on our way to Italy and I must say I was very happy with the choice. Room was very modern, very clean and spacious. Bathroom same. Very modern charging and light features. Staff was very nice and helpful. And also we enjoyed the food. Location is very good. So close to Versailles Palace and also not to far away from Paris. Very quiet and nice area. If we are ever back, definitely we will book again. Thank you!

Wir haben nur eine Nacht in diesem Hotel verbracht. Wir haben es aufgrund seiner Lage zum Schloss gewählt, das nur 10 bis 15 Gehminuten entfernt liegt. Wir hatten ein Superior-Zimmer, das uns schon beim Betreten umhaute. Alle Mitarbeiter waren wirklich freundlich und konnten gar nicht genug für uns tun, um unseren Aufenthalt sehr angenehm zu gestalten. Wir hatten keine Beschwerden über das Hotel oder die Mitarbeiter und würden das Hotel jedem empfehlen, der Versailles besucht.

Das Hotel ist ruhig, sehr nahe vom Palast von Versailles, zu Fuß in zehn Minuten kann man erreichen. Das Hotel hat fünf Minuten zu Fuß mit chinesischem Essen, japanischem Restaurant, spanischem Essen usw., sehr bequem, im Allgemeinen ein gutes Hotelerlebnis!
