Die Unterkunft war sehr gut, die Lage des Hotels ist ruhig und leicht zu finden. Andererseits sind die Zimmer zu sehen. Zugang zu den Zimmern: Es gibt eine Tür, die eine Art Sas gibt, wo 2 andere Türen für den Zugang zu 2 Zimmern sind. Leider gibt es kein Licht in seinen Sas. Wenn Sie allein sind, müssen Sie die erste Tür halten (weil sie nicht allein hält), um das Licht des Tages zu haben und die Karte zu setzen, um die Tür des Zimmers zu öffnen. Dann gab es für das Zimmer nur einen Kopftisch und keine elektrische Aufnahme, entweder auf der Bürosebene oder auf der Waschbeckensebene. Die Lampen schütteln, wenn sie anzündet werden. Die Waschmaschine ist nicht mit der Dusche, nicht sehr praktisch und der Toilettenschlauch nicht halten Sie es also hatte Sie auf der Rückseite. Neben einem Toilettenpapier-Führer, also zwischen dem Schlauch zu halten und das Papier zu nehmen, erfordert das eine gewisse Dexterität. Erste Enttäuschung. Ne pouvant pas payer avec une carte de débit (non’ayant pas de carte de crédit), je n’ai pas pu faire la réservation par internet. Bis dahin wird mir gesagt, dass ich nicht von der Internet-Reservierung profitiere, dass ich meine Reservierung per Telefon nehmen und mit meiner Bankkarte bezahlen kann. Ankunft vor Ort, es muss durch eine elektronische Shop gehen ... die immer noch nicht die Karte nimmt. Ich musste also eine andere Lösung finden, um zu bezahlen. Zimmer 100% Nichtraucher. Wir öffneten die Tür des Zimmers und es riechte, dass es Zigaretten gab... Mein Gesellschaft musste Medikamente einnehmen, um nicht krank zu sein. Auch der Bademantel riechte, dass es Zigaretten gab. Und ein einziger Handtuch für zwei weitere Menschen. Sonst guter Standort und Zimmer richtige Ausrüstung und Größe.

La chambre familiale à 4 personnes est une très belle découverte : spacieuse, fonctionnelle, joliment décorée. Les enfants et les parents ont adoré. La formule 1/2 pension permet de profiter d'un excellent petit-déjeuner. Petit bémol concernant le dîner (servi à l'hôtel Ibis mitoyen) où c'était l'affolement le soir où nous y sommes allés : manque de personnel, service excessivement lent (pas idéal de ”tenir” les enfants) mauvaise compréhension de la formule concernée, etc. Mais cela n'a pas altéré le très bon souvenir de cette étape à l'Ibis Budget Cherbourg.

This is a budget hotel and was a clean and modern hotel. We were there for one before train down south. Room was comfortable and had all we needed. Bed was comfy as we're the pillows. So a good night sleep. You can pay for a continental breakfast about 10€ each. Just the basic fare, nothing out of ordinary. But was all fresh. Allowed to use the better Ibis hotel next door for dinner and the bar. Not cheap! So we did not have dinner there. Be aware that the hotel is in a trading estate. You do have a McDonald's opposite and a supermarket around the corner with a brilliant bakery. Which had a great salad bar, which we utilised. All in all not a bad stay. Staff were lovely.

I have been staying here for 10 years, twice a year for business reasons. the hotel is generally clean and comfortable. after staying in room 115 this time, i was disappointed to see the shower doors gone. on reporting this, i was told they had fallen off, and not replaced. this made showering very difficult. the view out of the windows is of somebody elses apartment opposite. it is generally quiet. a good nights rest was had. the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen served its purpose. the staff are generally friendly, and a special mention of marion on reception. always smiling. the price has risen over the years, and did reflect good value, but i fell that the price doesn't reflect the level the hotel is at now. there is better out there for the same money, but if it is convenience you need, this is the place. i will return next year. thank you. i have also copied it in french, and hope it translates as it should. Je séjourne ici depuis 10 ans, deux fois par an pour des raisons professionnelles. l'hôtel est généralement propre et confortable. après avoir séjourné dans la chambre 115 cette fois-ci, j'ai été déçu de voir les portes de la douche disparues. en signalant cela, on m'a dit qu'ils étaient tombés et n'avaient pas été remplacés. cela rendait la douche très difficile. la vue par les fenêtres est celle de l'appartement de quelqu'un d'autre en face. c'est généralement calme. une bonne nuit de repos a été passée. les lits étaient confortables et la cuisine remplissait sa fonction. le personnel est globalement sympathique, et une mention spéciale de marion à la réception. toujours souriant. le prix a augmenté au fil des ans et reflète un bon rapport qualité-prix, mais j'ai pensé que le prix ne reflète pas le niveau actuel de l'hôtel. il y a mieux pour le même prix, mais si vous avez besoin de commodité, c'est l'endroit qu'il vous faut. je reviendrai l'année prochaine. merci.
