Das Cheval blanc ist eine gute Unterkunft für einen Zwischenstopp in Cognac. Die Zimmer sind klein, aber ordentlich mit guten Betten, funktionalem Bad, und Klimatisiert, was bei unserem Aufenthalt wichtig war, denn es herrschten Tagestemperaturen von über 40 Grad. Dennoch war die Klimaanlage sanft genug, sodass wir eine angenehme Nacht hatten. Frühstück ist Self Service und kann auf dem Innenhof eingenommen werden, wo es morgens angenehm ist. Die Lage ist sehr zentral. Die öffentlichen Parkplätze vor dem Hotel sind am Wochenende kostenfrei. Sehr zufrieden mit dem Service der Rezeption.

We stayed two nights. The hotel is centrally located in an excellent pedestrian area with shops and restaurants. The owners have done a great job restoring the building with several beautiful details. Parking may be an issue and during our visit a festival was going on in Cognac. Most of the central part was closed so we could not drive to the hotel. We phoned the hotel and a friendly team member gave us good directions. We also got information about where to park and it all turned out very well. Our room was spacious, very clean and equipped with a/c, coffee maker and tv with several international channels. Breakfast was included in our rate and was very good. All the team members we encountered did a great job and we really enjoyed our stay here.

Très belle surprise que cet hôtel étonnant en plein centre de Cognac. Dépaysement total, sentiment de dormir dans un lodge en Afrique. Demandez une cabane ou une roulotte, beaucoup de charme et bien agencé. Petit déjeuner copieux et délicieux. Le personnel de l’hôtel était charmant et très aidant.

Ich habe kürzlich über eine Woche im Hotel Francois Premier gebräuchlich mit mehreren Kollegen verblieben. Das Hotel befindet sich in einer hervorragenden Lage am Hauptplatz des Stadtzentrums von Cognac. Das Hotel ist schön und sehr gut gepflegt. Das Hotel ist sehr gut ausgestattet und bietet Ihnen 2 schöne Fenster. Was ich mag - Sehr komfortable Bett - Super effizient AirCon - Sehr ruhig - Kettle - Großes Badezimmer mit Regendusche - Frühstück war hochwertig mit vielen Auswahlen und hervorragenden geschraubten Eiern - Umbrellas zu nehmen Zum Verbesserung - Das Hotel WiFi für die Zimmer wurde für die gesamte Zeit meines Aufenthalts zerbrochen. Meine Kollegen informierten mich, dass es für ein paar Wochen gebrochen wurde - unser ganzes Team beendet, die SIM-Karten mit großen Daten enthalten, um von unseren Zimmern zu arbeiten - niemand im Hotel hat mich jemals geholfen, irgendeine Art von Entschädigung für das WiFi anzubieten Situation ANMERKUNG: Es gibt begrenzte Innenparkplätze für eine Gebühr, aber kostenlose Außenparkplätze sind sehr nahe am

Ibis Cognac is a great example of a typical Ibis hotel. No frills , reasonably priced with everything we needed for an overnight stay on our road trip to Spain. The bed was comfortable, the facilities clean and the wifi was good. Breakfast offered a great selection and they even provided paper bags for people to take stuff away with them . It was well placed to explore Cognac. We didn’t visit any of the brandy producers but there several within a few minutes of the hotel. There is free parking in the public car park opposite the hotel. Special mention should be given to Lucy on reception who went out of her way to be helpful. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it.

Hotel Chais Monnet, Cognac Our Five Star, nine night, holiday stay at Hotel Chais Monnet in Cognac turned into a disaster when the hotel erroneously withdrew €2,277:65 from our bank account after we left. It was only when checking our bank account on our return to the UK that we noticed the £1956:50 + £58:50 bank transaction fee had been taken from our account. Our accommodation had all been pre-paid prior to our arrival and all bills including bar and food were paid for as we went along (other items totalling €112, including hotel transport, local taxes and a hotel Tote bag were all paid on departure) so we were due the hotel nothing. When contacting the hotel by phone and by email, staff were less than helpful and even an email to their Directeur General did not bring this matter to a conclusion, not even a direct reply. It was only after we contacted our bank card-holder (M&S) and almost a month later that some of the money was refunded but we are still out of pocket with the currency exchange rates not going in our favour, phone calls to the hotel and postage costs (recorded delivery) to our bank. This issue has been extremely time consuming and worrying for us and we note from Trip Advisor (6th November 2019) that we are not the first customer for this to happen to! As far as the actual hotel stay is concerned, we were surprised when we first arrived at the hotel that we were asked to put a deposit down of €2,700:00, which seemed excessive but we went ahead. We really enjoyed our visit to this outstanding hotel, the staff were, on the whole excellent, the room cleaning staff deserve a special mention. Our eating experience in the restaurant left a lot to be desired. The food was excellent - the service was terrible! We sat down at 7:35pm for dinner and the complimentary dish was served very quickly. We were not halfway through the complimentary dish when our starter was squeezed on to the table - then a long wait, a long, long wait. We finally got our main course at 9:25pm when we were about to cancel our order. When asked “Why the delay?”, the waiter answered “The kitchen is not working”. Following Trip Advisor reviews about poor breakfast service and the excessive cost of €35:00 per person we decided not to use this service. We have asked the hotel to supply details of where the erroneous figures came from, why were we not advised about these charges, why there is a delay in repayment and also to receive an apology with some compensation. To date we are still out of pocket. I suggest that if you have ever stayed at this hotel that you should look back at your bank account records to make sure everything is in order.
