Wouldn't recommend for more than a quick stopover which is what I did. It is convenient for the main station in comparison to other hotels in Ostrava, but is showing its age and doesn't seem to know what category it sits in. Is it budget or is it trying to be something it isn't? The room I had was rather dated although I believe there are some refurbished rooms available. Haven't seen some of the items like the beige hairdryer in hotels for many years! A small shower with some poor fittings, plug sockets nowhere near the bed and non functioning air conditioning. Luckily the windows opened. I slept okay but I was tired anyway so that was probably half the reason! Place was cheap and clean so if this is what you are after then go for it.

I recently spent a week here and found the hotel to be very clean and comfortable. The room was quiet and well-kept. The bed was just right, not too hard and not too soft. The bathroom was spotless. There were plenty of outlets and the lighting was more than sufficient. Reception was businesslike and professional. The breakfast offered had plenty of choices and was quite filling, especially as it was sometimes my only meal of the day. The only negatives were that the room was sometimes too hot and when ordering from the set menu in the restaurant at dinner, they were unwilling to accommodate dietary restrictions, telling us that no changes could be made. I would readily stay here again should my travels take me back to Ostrava in the future.

Hotel located in the city center. Customer service at a high level and very friendly. Spacious room, standard equipped, very clean and tidy. Downstairs, you can have a delicious breakfast in the morning or order dinner. At the reception, you can also buy regional products or jewelery from local artists. We are very pleased and if we ever stay in Ostrava it is for sure at Hotel Maria.

Wir haben dieses Hotel für eine Geschäftsreise auf der Grundlage der bestehenden Bewertungen gewählt und waren nicht enttäuscht. Das Hotel ist in einer tollen Lage, um die Exploration des Gebiets zu ermöglichen, während und um zu essen und trinken. Es hat eine tolle Bar und Restaurant auf der Website, so dass Sie nicht einmal das tun müssen. Wenn Sie ins Geh gehen, Sie haben wirklich das Gefühl, dass Sie irgendwo besonders sind. Das Personal ist intelligent ausgezeichnet, lächelnd, freundlich und bereit, zu helfen. Sie haben viel Mühe in diesen Ort gelegt, und es fühlt sich wie ein Top-End-Hotel. Die Frühstücksauswahl war ausgezeichnet, frisch und in Überfluss. Es gibt etwas für alle und viele davon. Sehr sehr schön und das Personal ist überall. Das Zimmer war perfekt. Ich hatte die beste 4 Nächte Schlaf und besser als mein eigentliches Bett zu Hause. Das Zimmer war sauber und gemütlich. Die Dusche war fantastisch. Ein großer Regenkopf für oben und die Option eines Handhelds, wenn Sie wechseln möchten. Ich hatte eine Kehle, Tee/Kaffee, Wasser usw., was für mich genau das ist, was ich will. Der Fitnessraum ist klein, aber hat genug, um eine gute Trainingsarbeit zu machen. Wenn Sie aber passieren, dass Sie dorthin gehen, um Gewicht zu trainieren, und es gibt jemanden, der auch aufhebt, werden Sie sehr begrenzt sein, wenn Sie nicht freundlich zwischen den Sets wechseln möchten, aber dass daneben, es ist ein Fitnessraum und bietet Laufmaschinen, Dumbbells und eine Multistation usw. Die Kirsche oben war der letzte Morgen, den wir verlassen mussten. Wir würden das Frühstück nicht machen, da wir zu früh verließen, aber das Hotel bereitete uns jeweils einen Frühstücksraum. Das war ernsthaft erstaunlich. Es beinhaltete eine Tonne von fertigen Roll, vorgeschnittenes Brot, Butter, Spaltungen, Obst, Wasser, Joghurt, Energiebar usw. Ich war so beeindruckt und das war ein toller Touch. Ich mag diesen Ort wirklich sehr, und die Mitarbeiter dort müssen stolz auf das sein, was sie tun. Ich empfehle diesen Ort sehr.

Hotel is a SCAM with terrible service. I arrived on a 2 day business trip to the hotel, right from the first impression it didn't felt like a 4 star hotel. Room was very small with old (not in good way) furniture with no air condition and a small window that prevented most of the air to come inside. Later on I discovered that the hot water in the shower is not working, the front desk refused to believe me but after I insisted they said that they checked and the hotel's boiler is working and in the first floor there is hot water. I was explained that the pipes are old and I need some patience. After 10 minutes of cold water in the shower I asked to move to a different room in the first floor. The service desk refused and offered to fix the problem in the next day. I asked to leave the hotel due to the problem and get my money back. They agreed and told me it will be handled in the next morning. The next day they told me they have issues with the refund and it will take a few days. After I left the city I called again about the refund and they said that the manager decided not to refund me because there wasn't a problem. What a SCAM !!! avoid at all costs.
