Das Hotel befindet sich 20 Meter von der Fähre von Townsville entfernt, so dass es nicht notwendig ist, das Auto auf der Insel zu haben. Wenn Sie es jedoch bis zur Tür des Hotels bringen, stehen Ihnen bis zu 3 Tage kostenlose Parkplätze zur Verfügung. Das Hotel besteht aus mehreren Blöcken, einige mit einfachen Zimmern, andere mit mehr oder weniger großen Apartments. Es hat einen riesigen Pool. Der Zugang zum Zimmer erfolgt über eine Treppe, es besteht die Möglichkeit, einen Aufzug zu benutzen, aber dieser kann Sie abholen und nicht alle Treppen vermeiden, wie in unserem Fall. Personal an der Rezeption und nette Bar- / Restaurantmitarbeiter.

From the minute I arrived I was made to feel incredibly welcome! Adam the manager made me feel immediately at home! My room was everything I needed for my 2 week stay. Clean and comfortable with comfortable bed with all the nessacary amnenties. Conveniently situated by rhe pool with beautiful views across the road to Geoffrey Bay and a short walk to Alma Bay which in my opinion is the best swimming beach on the island! Situated next door to the pub with great seating and a pool with a very extensive menu it was everything I needed! The bus stop was also a short walk away which was a good way to explore the rest of the island. Arcadia Hotel is also a good starting point for walks into the National Park and over the hill to Nelly Bay with stunning views! A perfect way to end the day is to walk across the road in the evening to the old wharf and see the Rock Wallabies that come out looking for food! Within days my room.became home and Adam made me feel like family. Nothing was too much trouble to ensure my stay was the best it could be! I cannot recommend Arcadia highly enough for the perfect place to stay and base yourself to explore the Island and come back to at end of day to relax on private balcony area looking out to sea! I've travelled extensively all over the world and stayed in many different places and Arcadia is up there for ticking every box you need for the perfect place to be! It was very hard to leave so I will definitely be back.! It really was my home away from home. Thank you Adam for your amazing hospitality. Magnetic Island is such a magical place ...and Arcadia Motel is the perfect place to stay and experience it!

Nur 4 Nächte bei diesem fabulösen BnB in Horseshoe Bay verbrachte. In einem alten Queenslander eingerichtet, hat das Eigentum nur vier Doppelzimmer. Es erweckt Charakter und Charme, während es sauber und geräumig mit privater Ensuite und Balkon ist. Große Lounge und Decken zu entspannen auch. Wird Deb und Larry freundlich und hilfreich sein (“Machen Sie sich keine Sorgen um den Bus, ich werde Sie auf dem Fähre setzen”), und Debs warme kochte Frühstück sind großartig. Habe ich erwähnt, dass sie auch einen Pool haben..

This place unfortunately looks nothing whatsoever like the photos advertised. I chose it because it was cheap, but the photos showed a modern bathroom and reasonably looking rooms with sinks, kitchenette etc. A modern bathroom is important to me as a lady traveling. I sure did not get this! The room was something out of the 70's with no modernisation. The shower curtain rail was about to fall down, the beds were so old they had big sags in them, the was only a bowl left to wash up in, not one piece of dinner set matched, the decor was so outdated with old tiles in the bathroom and rusted up loover windows, florescent lights (broken outside my unit where I wanted it for safety), an old in the window air-condition unit that worked for one day and rattled so badly I had to get up and turn it off, after this I couldn't even get it to work, an old rusted fan that was probably my saviour in a hot climate, no hand soap supplied and the beds were not remade after 3 days as advertised. From here it gets worse - at 12 midnight I was awoken by yelling and bashing buy a guy trying to get into my unit. I got up to go to the loo and turned the light on - the looser windows would not work as rusted up, and the next thing he was trying to climb in my toilet window. Being on my own I was terrified and did not sleep the rest of my stay, it was a horrific experience. On a plus the staff followed up on what happened, apologising and were very empathetic to my ordeal.
