Fantastic place to stay in Albany. Historic building with very clean rooms and facilities. Friendly and helpful staff and superb location. Free off-street parking. A bit quiet when I was there but being offseason and still not many backpackers in the country it’s not surprising. For me a positive.

Pros - Location is good as it is near to the city and restaurants and cafes are just round the corner. It is also tucked in a quiet corner though it is near to the city - I believe the hotel is newly renovated. The rooms are spacious. - Receptionists are friendly and helpful as they do provide you with many information regarding Albany - Free Parking on site Cons - No lift - The bathroom is huge but the shower cubicle does not have space or shelf or racking to put our toiletries. - The water pressure is horrible as it is so low that I have to use double time to shower. - Complimentary drinks are not being top up even though we stayed 2 nights.

Last time I stayed here it was a long time ago with a boyfriend who I ended up being in a very long term relationship. I have since moved to Albany and lived there before moving to other areas. Finding myself wanting to visit for a couple of days, thought I would see how it has changed. Because of my history with the region, Dog Rock has always been my first choice of accommodation, now that I have stayed there, that has not changed. For those not in the know, it is named for the dog head shaped rock that appears to be sniffing the air. It is located right across the road by a lane leading to one of the city's shopping centres containing a Woolworths, Red Dot and a Leonards Chicken and a cafe as well as other shops. It does wear a collar which in reality is a paint to make it more visible to traffic and it was classified by the National Trust in 1973. The Motel is centrally located with one direction going into town, the other taking you to the end of the road being Middleton Beach. You have a wide variety of attractions very close to you as well as having a marvellous restaurant (Lime 303) which I have eaten at and reviewed on this website, should you care to have a further read. I had a room which I was well pleased with, up the back with a rear view of the bush, in front of me on my balcony I could see Mt Melville sweeping up into the sky. The room was spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed and it was quiet. There was a mini fridge with an assortment of refreshments within and a selection of tea and coffee sachets on the counter. The shower was excellent and the parking was plenty at the door. I had paid a little extra for a hot breakfast the next day which was well worth the price. (See attached pictures). There were foxtel on the tv which I enjoyed catching up on the movies I had not yet seen. The staff at reception were very personable, friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend anyone who was going to Albany to stay there.

The experience was awesome, the service was best, clean rooms and toilets, the cleaner was so honest, i have left my Apple Watch while visited Albany when i came back the watch was still at the same place where i have left it. I am very impressed by service as well. I forgot to drop towels on the floor so they didnt change the towels, when i came back to hotel and i have noticed the towels didn’t change due to my misunderstanding the receptionist came and drop the cleaned towels in couple of minutes. The staff was amazing and the hotel location was awesome Highly recommend

Ich habe immer wie ein geschätzter Kunde behandelt, und alles wird getan, um einen angenehmen Aufenthalt zu gewährleisten, würde und hätte ich empfohlen Sure Stay Hotel, Best Western the Clarence on Melville an Kollegen und Freunde und hatte Freunde bei Ihnen bleiben und genossen die Erfahrung.

Nachts ließ der Chef den Umschlag nachdenklich vor der Tür. Das Zimmer war für uns bereit. Die Schlüssel waren im Wohnzimmer. Sehr geräumiges Zimmer mit Trockenwaschmaschine und einfachem Herd, wir können warmes Essen zum Abendessen. Am nächsten Morgen haben wir ohne Reservierung auch gefrühstückt. Nehmen Sie gleichzeitig Rücksicht auf unsere verspätete Anreise und lassen Sie uns bis 11 Uhr auschecken. Checken Sie hier um 14 Uhr ein und auschecken um 10 Uhr. Ich mag die kleine Plattform vor dem Restaurant sehr, ich mag auch den sauberen und aufgeräumten Hof und die schöne Besitzerin.

great place to stay - wish we had time to spend longer here. Check in was a breeze with the staff being helpful and friendly. We had a ensuite site which was really easy to get into - one side grass the other side concrete. The park is set out very well so its not crowded at all. The ensuite was really clean and a nice change for us to have. Powered sites are available and easy to connect to. A great place to stay - def recommend

Lovely place!! Staff were really helpful and friendly. The site was immaculate with everything you'd need. Restaurant was closed but that's because it's under new ownership apparently. Accomodation was great. Comfy bed, good shower and fully kitted out kitchen. Would definitely stay sgain if in the area.

Andere Bewertungen machten mich fühlen, zweifelhaft über den Aufenthalt hier, aber es ergab, dass mein Aufenthalt viel besser war als ich erwartet. Das Motel kann alt und datiert sein, Aber es ist absolut komfortable und sauber. Großer Wert für Geld, so froh, das letzte Zimmer zu werten und die xmas Wärme von Perth entkommen. Liebte die Dusche mit viel heißes Wasser und starkem Druck, Ich schlief sehr gut auf dem Bett, das Personal war groß, die Lage war groß ...Obwohl es gerade an der Seite des besetzten Albany hwy, Aber dankbar ist es bis 10 Uhr ruhig gelaufen und Sie sind in der Regel raus und rund um die Tageszeit. Der Pool schien beliebt mit Familien und er sah sauber und gut gepflegt. Es gibt keine Küche, aber die Einrichtungen, die bereitgestellt wurden, waren mehr als genug für die Heizung von Lebensmitteln (Mikrowellen, Kühlschrank, Waschbecken und Sponge und Handtücher). Sie bieten auch Zimmerservice, wenn Sie es haben möchten. Was mag ich nicht?? - Mein Zimmer war oben LOL, das wusste ich nicht. Gute Sache, dass ich nicht viel mitgebracht habe. Also bedenken Sie das, wenn Sie die Buchung machen - Der ganze Ort war im Allgemeinen ruhig, aber 2 Morgen in Folge, hörte ich diese VERY LOUD bang ...as wenn jemand gerade etwas schlug, verrückt geschlossen, wahrscheinlicher eine Tür. Am ersten Morgen passierte es zweimal, am zweiten Morgen passierte es einmal. Nicht sicher, ob es der Reiniger oder einer der benachbarten Gäste ist. Sehr irritierend und unüberlegt! Gute Sache, die es nicht in der Nacht passiert. - Der Reiniger ging fast auf mich, während ich noch angezogen war. Sie knackte und ich antwortete, aber sie muss mich nicht hören und einfach die Tür öffnen ..., was mich dazu führt, zu schreien 'NEIN WACHT!!!!' Phew das ist geschlossen! Ich habe versucht, das Zeichen 'Keine Störung' später auf die Vordertür zu suchen, aber es konnte nicht finden. Nicht sagen, dass das ok ist, aber angesichts aller positiven Aspekte überwiegen sie diesen letzten nahezu unfall. So insgesamt zöger ich nicht, hier noch einmal zu bleiben.
