Chicago Lakeshore Hotel

It was located in a nice area and the staff was very nice and helpful. I would stay here again for sure.

Think of it as a Motel 6 or Super 8 in Hyde Park. The soundproofing is poor, the water pressure is low, and the immediate area feels a bit deserted. Even so, it offers by far the best value compared with other hotels in Hyde Park.

It's a low budget model-like joint: simple and clean. Seems like converted apartments. But it is in a great location: lakefront, Hyde Park, close to Bronzeville, parks, etc. Free parking too! Staff was very helpful too.

Very safe and convenient on bus route 6 that takes you to the south and to Millennium Park. We enjoyed the location, cleanliness and safety aspects. The staff was great and we would have probably not had time for the pool anyway, had it been open. I will try to book it again in the future.

The area is good however the hotel needs improvements. Adjoining room doors slam shut when other guests go in and out. Recommend a second floor to help with noise from above.

Room was clean, good location, close to plenty of good restaurants. Not too far from downtown, so tourist attractions aren’t a hassle to get to

The room I stayed in was good. Nothing really impressive, but it served my purpose. I was a lil miffed that I could not drive out from one of their 2 entrances/ exit into the parking lot, in that there were several orange cones blocking the entrance. That entrance needs to be paved; alot of work needs to be done. Their inground pool structure is pretty much destroyed & ALOT of work needs to be done to it. I asked if they have ice.... they do not have it on hand. I asked for water, I was told I can go to the nearest gas station & buy it. I doubt very much I will stay there again when visiting in Chicago.

The room was clean. The facility wasn't offer much. The wifi was very weak, and the feeling was we are staying at the cheap motel, not hotel.

Free parking was a bonus. Wish there was an ice machine. The room itself was clean and neat, the outside of the building and the stairway were pretty run down looking. My only complaint about the room is the beds- full size isn’t ideal and the beds were hard. The person at the front desk was very helpful at check in and when we needed more towels.
