"Overall good. Pleasant arrival, helpful and friendly staff. Sadly we had a noisy room and the male member of reception staff was a little rude about and argumentative, which is a shame. Small gym and very little equipment, mostly cardio. Tea and coffee provided in the room but no milk not even small UHT sachets. I asked for a small amount to make a drink and was informed I’d need to pay €4 for it. I’ve never experienced this in a hotel before and was a little shocked - does seem a little stingy given the price of the rooms here. No cup of tea for this English person today! Oh well. Nice pool area. Overall though, good. Stayed at better, stayed at worse."

"When we made the reservation, the receptionist spoke about "economic" room but i never thought that and economic room ment the horrible conditions we found. the room was full of humidity, there was no electric plugne near to the bed, just one in the other side of the room, we have to move the bed to plug the machine that my husband uses to bread, in the morning it was a nightmare to take a shower, the water had no pressure and it was impossible to controle the temperature of the water. In the end when we complain about the conditions of the room, the receptionist just told us that she said that it was and economic room.... well i dont know the rest of the hotel but if you ever thing about booking and "economic room" at this hotel, please think twice."

"Spent 3 nights here as part of a tour of SW France. A lovely little hotel with extremely helpful staff. Our room (superior double) was exceptionally clean but not very big and very little storage space. Breakfast was good. Nice small pool for sunny days. A short walk to the centre of the resort where there are many restaurants. Secure car parking for extra charge which we used as had golf clubs with us but to be honest there is plenty of space on the street and it’s safe enough."

"In letzter Zeit kehren wir in kurzen Abständen nach Chatelaillon zurück und bleiben hier, mit immer längeren Aufenthalten. Das Zimmer ist minimalistisch, im Stil der Styles, ohne Balkon, ruhig. Zwei Stärken sind die Freundlichkeit des Personals, das Schwimmbad mit beheiztem Wasser aus dem Atlantik, ein rechteckiger Teil zum Schwimmen, ein weiterer Innenbereich mit verschiedenen Arten von Massagedüsen, die sich hervorragend für die Durchblutung eignen, und ein Außenbecken, in dem man an schönen Tagen Zusätzlich zu den salsoiodischen Wirkungen gibt es auch heliotherapeutische Wirkungen und schließlich eine weitere, die gymnastischen Übungen vorbehalten ist. Lieferung des Bademantels zur kostenlosen Nutzung, Rückgabe vor Abreise. Frühstück am Morgen: abwechslungsreich, reichlich, mit besonderer Erwähnung der blonden Dame (ihren Namen kenne ich leider nicht) mit dem Pferdeschwanz, die unermüdlich Essen, Besteck und Geschirr ersetzt. Nun, diese Dame wäre sehr nützlich, wenn sie ihre Erfahrung an das junge Personal weitergeben würde, das das Abendessen serviert: aufmerksam, freundlich, aber mit wenig Erfahrung und einigen Mängeln: Lieferung ungeordneter Gerichte, überladene Tabletts mit der Folge, dass einige Gläser/Teller verrutschen auf den Boden und es zerbricht. Großer kostenloser, beleuchteter, aber unbewachter Parkplatz in der Nähe. Relative Nähe zur Stadt auf der rechten Seite und auf der linken Seite zum Fischerdorf und seinem Yachthafen, erreichbar über einen angenehmen, gesunden Spaziergang. Chatelaillon- und Ibis-Stile: schöne Kombination!"

"Hotel voller Charme und sehr angenehme Manager mit guten Ratschlägen. Die Nähe zum Bahnhof ist ein echter Pluspunkt, um ohne Auto nach La Rochelle zu gelangen und Staus und Parkprobleme zu vermeiden. Wir werden auf jeden Fall bei unserem nächsten Aufenthalt in der Region wiederkommen."
