 The location of this hotel is great - very central. The hotel itself is very nice looking, with nice rooms. Unfortunately the positives ended there. Overall the service we received during our stay was terrible. On arrival there was no acknowledgement of our platinum status and no welcome amenity provided during the stay. No offer of upgrade (per platinum status benefits) until my husband complained. No help with unloading and bringing the luggage to the room. On day one we asked the hotel to recommend and book a restaurant for dinner only to turn up and find the restaurant closed. We tried to call the hotel but there was no answer, so we ended up finding somewhere else to eat. When we returned to the hotel we find out that the concierge had booked a different restaurant and not told us, and staff were not apologetic. We asked for toiletries and towels to be replenished on the second day, to no avail. Finally, there were very limited breakfast options for a five star hotel, certainly compared to other hotels we have stayed in. No freshly cooked on demand items at all. We will not be returning.
