We can comfortably accommodate up to 6 adults (plus 2 extra guests) with 3 bedrooms with a queen memory foam mattress in each room, a queen air mattress for those extra guests and 2 full bathrooms, a full size well equipped kitchen and spacious living and dining space.Our cabin is thoughtfully designed and stocked with our guests in mind - the comfort of modern life while accentuating that beautiful cabin look and a number of amenities for a comfortable stay. Please note you may be charged a $150 fee for a more thorough deep cleaning if you end up bringing your pets.Wifi: We have invested in a Starlink to ensure you don’t experience any disconnections in your wifi usage. Enjoy uninterrupted streaming or Zoom calls (we hope you’re calling family but if you must work, work Zoom calls will also be uninterrupted.) Please do not unplug the Starlink!AC/Heater: The cabin has both air conditioning and wall heaters. AC is located in the living space and there are wall heaters in each of the spaces (living room, each bedroom, den and bathrooms). Both AC and heaters are electric.Hot tub: We ensure hot tubs are clean for each booking. Please shower/rinse off before entering the hot tub to remove dirt, mud, lotions, soaps, etc. Please note usage of following in or around the hot tub are not permitted: bath bombs, bath salts, bubbles, glasses including beverage bottles. No drinking is allowed inside the hot tub. You may be charged a $250 fee if any guest in your party fail to comply to allow draining and extra service of the hot tub. While our cabin is not fenced, it is fairly wooded for limited privacy. The camera on the back porch does not face the hot tub to ensure the privacy of our guests.Fire Pit: If you plan on using the fire pit, please bring firewood or purchase them at the general store or gas station nearby as we do not provide them. If fire bans are in effect, please do not use the fire pit. Failure to comply will result in a $250 fee. No Smoking: This is a smoke-free cabin. This includes e-cigarettes. Please do not smoke inside the cabin or on the property.Cameras: There are security cameras around the property to ensure safety of our guests and protection of the cabin. The camera on the front porch covers the front door to the driveway. The camera on the side covers the side of the cabin. The camera on the back porch covers the patio entrance to the fire pit area. Please note that the back camera does not cover the hot tub area for guest privacy purposes. Parking/RV: There is parking space in front of the cabin that can fit up to 6 cars comfortably. We also have space for an RV with electricity and water hookup. EV Charging: We provide Level 2 EV charging for our guests’ convenience. The nearest charging station is approximately an hour away from the cabin.Quiet Hours: Our cabin is located in a friendly, quiet neighborhood. Please be respectful of your neighbors and honor quiet hours between 8pm to 8am. Any noise complaints received will result in a $150 fee per occurrence. No Party Policy: We hope our guests enjoy our cabin to make life-long memories with family and friends. We have a strict no party policy. Failure to comply including any evidence of partying will result in a $500 fee. Number of Guests: Our cabin can host 6 guests comfortably with 2 extra guests (also comfortable on a queen air mattress!). Any additional guests not stated on the booking are strictly prohibited. Failure to comply will result in $200 fee per additional unannounced guests.Air Mattress: Air mattress along with bedding can be found in the closet of the "plant" bedroom (bedroom on the 2nd floor to your right).Baby: If you are bringing a tiny human with you, we have a travel crib and a high chair available for use. The travel crib can be found in the "plant" bedroom (bedroom on the 2nd floor to your right) and the high chair in the closet of the 1st floor bedroom. Power Outages: You are in the woods so there may be power outages during heavy rain or winter storms. There is a gas fireplace and we provide battery-operated camp lanterns. Hot water is provided via tankless water heater that uses gas. Wall heaters, hot tub, wifi require electricity and will not be available during a power outage. Enjoy the fire pit, grab a book or play some board games!Snow: In the winter, you may encounter snow so please be prepared with AWD and/or tire chains. Tire chains are required in your car from November-May if you plan on going up to Mt. Rainier. Our driveway is flat, though can be icy. The mountains are calling! Escape to Wit's End Retreat. Close proximity to Elbe, 92 Road, Alder Lake, and only 11 minutes to Mt. Rainier National Park. This remodeled cabin features all of the creature comforts of home but is located in a quiet, peaceful setting. Property features a brand new, covered hot tub, full kitchen, WiFi, W/D, smart TV, covered outdoor seating, fire pit, and more. Wit's End Retreat is the perfect place to explore the PNW or simply stay in, relax, and recharge.We designed Wit's End Retreat to be a place where people can come to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Whether that means you want to just come relax or go out and enjoy all the Pacific Northwest has to offer, there is something for everyone. For those who want to go outdoors, Wit's End Retreat is located about 11 minutes from the Nisqually entrance of Mount Rainier National Park (this entrance is open year round). We are less than 10 minutes from Alder Lake and only about a half a mile to 92 Road where you can take your off-road vehicles to the Elbe Hills trails. There is also a trail close to the cabin that you can follow down to the Nisqually River. If skiing or snowboarding is your thing, we are located about an hour and a half away from White Pass Ski Resort. The road in front of the cabin makes a great sledding hill when there is snow!Follow the babbling sound of the seasonal creek to the deck in the front of the cabin. Relax in the new, covered hot tub and let the jets massage away your aches and pains. Please read hot tub rules before using. Unbreakable cups with lids are provided in the kitchen. A gas fire table and chairs are located next to the hot tub for outdoor dining as well as a Weber gas grill for outdoor cooking. Enjoy a cozy fire with friends and family. A fire pit, outdoor chairs, and a small amount of firewood is provided for your use when there is not a burn ban. If additional fire wood is needed, there are places nearby it can be purchased. Firewood will not be provided during a burn ban. Wit's End Retreat was recently remodeled and offers a fully stocked kitchen with a full size range, refrigerator, dishwasher, and peninsula for eating. In the kitchen you will also find a coffee bar stocked with a Keurig, french press, coffee, tea, cider, and hot cocoa. The kitchen contains pots, pans, utensils, basic spices, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar for all your cooking needs. Just bring the food! There is even a bluetooth speaker if you need some music around the cabin. Cozy up by the pellet stove and watch TV, play board games, or read. The Smart TV offers apps such as Netflix or Prime Video that you can log into. The full bathroom is located downstairs and contains a large, walk in shower as well as washer and dryer if you need to do any laundry. The vanity contains a first aid kit and a basket of some essentials if there is something you forgot to bring. Upstairs you will find a cozy queen bed, dresser, and small pole for hanging clothes on one side. The other side contains a twin daybed with a trundle bed underneath that pulls out for a 2nd twin bed. Additional blankets are located in the blanket chest and baskets. There is also a 2nd Smart TV as well as board games, books, puzzles, legos, and coloring materials for children. Please note there are no doors between the sleeping areas.The cabin has a wall unit heat pump for heating and cooling, as well as an optional pellet stove. The temperature on the pellet stove can be controlled via the built in thermostat on the stove if you need to adjust it up or down. Please read the instructions provided in our book. It's possible you may need to refill the pellets if you choose to use it. Additional pellets are located in the can next to the pellet stove.
