Welcome to our cabin in Rhododendron! This terrific two-story home sits on the edge of Rhododendron and Brightwood and is conveniently located near many outdoor recreation options in the area.The spaceThe cabin sleeps up to six people comfortably and includes an updated, well-equipped kitchen. Our living room is the perfect relaxation and entertainment hub, featuring a 60-inch smart TV and a vintage turntable and receiver (with Bluetooth capability) with a stash of great records (bring your own if you want!). Upstairs, you’ll find the main bedroom with a queen bed, reading nook, balcony access and a desk for the work-from-home crowd. There is also a quaint bathroom and a bunkroom that features a single and full bed. Downstairs, there is plenty of space to hang your outdoor recreation gear to dry in the hallway, and you’ll find the third bedroom with a queen bed and nearby bathroom with shower. The living space is extended outside, featuring a deck with an outdoor table and BBQ grill just off the dining room, and a perfect space out back with ample outdoor seating and a gas fire pit to wind down your evening.Guest accessThe cabin is a standalone home that you’ll have to yourself. It is located in the Timberline Rim community, a neighborhood of homes primarily occupied by full-time residents and some nightly rentals. There are neighbors to each side of the cabin, with a street-facing front. There’s not a great deal of traffic, but traffic is audible at times. Our home offers ample free parking and a convenient horseshoe driveway for easy access, in and out.Other things to noteCentrally located in the Mount Hood Corridor, we are in close proximity to a wide variety of area outdoor attractions, and our home is a great place to relax after a day of activities and exploring. There are ample options for groceries and food in the area, including stores in Rhododendron, Brightwood and nearby Sandy. River View Chalet is on almost an acre of wooded property with private access to the Sandy River. Beautiful views of the river from the deck. This home is centrally located to all of Mt. Hood has to offer like skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, water activities, biking, golf, local shops and food. This home is still private enough to have a relaxing vacation. The vaulted great room has a floor-to-ceiling wall of windows and the best view of the woods with the river peaking through. Relax in the hot tub after an adventurous day of exploring the mountain while listening to the river flowing by!The space -just 55 mins from Portland -Almost an acre on the river with private beach for camping, fishing, and enjoying a fire.-House has neighbors not completely secluded- close to amenities and shopping-15 mins to ski bowl -hot tub while listening to the river flow, bbq, and eat dinner on the deck with a view.-fire pit by the house and down by the river -well appointed kitchen -open floor plan-over sized jetted tub -loft with views of the river -games in garage for when the weather is bad -No pets except service animals. Please notify us if you are bringing a service animal.-hot tub off back deck -Garage for storing outdoor gear -During the winter there is a possibility of snow. 4x4 and higher clearance vehicles are recommended. This home is our family’s escape from the city; it is situated on a forested, half acre lot within walking distance to the Salmon River. You will be close to hiking, skiing, and all the outdoor fun Mt. Hood has to offer.The house sleeps 7 in 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The primary bedroom has a king size bed and en-suite bathroom. The 2nd bedroom has a queen bed and private reading chair. The third bedroom has a bunk bed - twin over full. A pack-n-play and high chair are also available on-site. A washer and dryer is also available in the house.After a day of adventuring, relax outside by the fire pit, surrounded by tall, mossy cedar and fir trees. If you don’t feel like driving, the 11 mile Bonanza trail begins just down the road, within walking distance from the house.Guests will receive a unique code for their stay.
