A walk in the neighborhood is a stroll back in time. Old miner's cabins tucked under the pine and aspen trees line the streets. Moose, elk and deer roam the backyards. The Wolf Tongue Mill sits silent while Middle Boulder Creek snakes east from the Continental Divide through town and on to Boulder. Chipeta Park is a perfect spot for relaxing along the river, throwing the disk, or taking a stroll.This mountain town sits at 8240 ft. elevation. A bit about me...I love hosting guests from all around the world! Born and raised on a family farm in Iowa, my adventures led me first to Texas and then on to the mountains. My family loves Colorado. Summers are filled with water sports, biking and gardening and in winter we ski and snowboard. I enjoy anthropology and study mushrooms and medicinal plants. In my free time I travel, dance, and practice yoga. I enjoy sharing our unique mountain culture with visitors from around the world.
