Santuzza Art Hotel Catania

Das Zimmer war alt, hatte aber auch viel Charme. Wenn Ihnen das gefällt, ist es sehr zu empfehlen, schöner authentischer alter italienischer Eindruck. Die Einrichtungen waren gut, aber das Frühstück war dürftig. Ich würde nur dann zugreifen, wenn es nur ein paar Euro kostet, sonst isst du lieber morgens etwas. Die Lage ist gut und auch in der Nähe einer U-Bahn.

Die Lage ist hervorragend. Die Erreichbarkeit ist hervorragend, egal wohin Sie gehen. Die Einrichtungen sind mittelmäßig. Für diejenigen, die morgens ausgehen und spät abends zurückkommen, ist die Kosteneffizienz hervorragend.

Unfortunately the only good point we have is the location by the via etnea. Staff did not speak proper english. Our room was dusty and dirty - especially the toilet. Shower glasses were full of mold and dirt, toilet flush did not work properly. Windows were old and did not close fully. There was only 1 outlet, lightning was awful and lamps next to the bed were not working at all. Breakfast was quite narrow. No curtains, carpets or anything soft at all. Bed was ok.

staff was accommodating to our late arrival time from the airport. Also explained with details the premises and places around, ie: pizzeria. The breakfast was delicious and plenty I would recommend them. Thanks Alexandre and family

Wé were with our school in this hotel. The quality was a Desaster. We would never have allowed to have our children stayed had this hotel. The rooms were dirty and filthy. The children cleaned the toilets them self and didn’t take a shower. We could write a lot more. They Feld discussed about the hotel. Only positiv point, the breakfast was not bad.

I made the mistake of reading other reviews of this hotel a day before we set off for Sicily and most of them were poor. Fearing the worst, I was not looking forward to staying here. On arrival, I have no idea why the reviews were so poor. Our room was clean the bathroom was clean, towels and toiletries were provided I could find little to complain about. The breakfast was very generous, with everything you would expect from a buffet breakfast, despite us not arriving for breakfast until late, we never found anything to have run out. The hotel is almost right in the centre of Catania and was competitively priced. Any queries we had were handled curteously by the staff, who all spoke far superior English than my woefull Italian. I did wonder if some of the poor reviews were from rival hotels as I found only a few tiny points that spoiled our stay, none of which were the fault of the hotel. During our stay many of the guests seemed to want to run/shout up and down the corridors late into the night and early morning which disturbed our sleep on almost every night, not the fault of the hotel, but it did spoil our stay. Our room had a balcony which looked out over a vertical 'tunnel' so we had no view, though this didn't worry us particularly. The hotel seemed to have changed name to Santuzza Hotel, the door buzzer (which we only needed on our first day) was labelled for this rather than 'Domus' which fooled us for a while until we spotted 'Domus' written in pencil below the door buzzer. Other than those small things, we had a wonderful time there and would recommend it - but might suggest taking earplugs for light sleepers when noisy guests are staying too!
