Sizigia

A charming hotel, a palafito (stilt-house built out over the tidal cove) with a lovely view of a working harbour and terriific light. It's central, well-run, clean, very spare and simple but comfortable. The big problem is structural: unless your room is on the top floor it's like having giants dancing overhead; added to this, all pluming noises - baths running, toilets flushing, taps turning on and off - are clearly audible in the rooms on each side or below. This is difficult to fix, so probably very big earplugs are your best bet. The extremely fixable problem is the wifi, which really didn't work in our room; we stood on the landing or went down to the cafe to get a signal. Wifi extenders would solve this simple problem and I hope the hotel does so, because it's a pity not to be able to give the place a full five stars.

Very charming boutique hotel on the famous Pedro Montt street. This real Palafito has been wonderfully restored and the rooms with sea view are astonishing. Staff is polite and friendly. Breakfast is a great experience. Even if the soundproofing of the rooms is far from being perfect (how could it be on those structures anyway?), I can’t give anything less than 5 “balls”.

This place is a lot of fun. The room was comfortable, the bathroom was well-appointed, and the entire place could not have been cleaner, plus the entire building smells like whatever fresh-baked goods become part of the next morning's breakfast. The staff are genuinely warm and kind and really care that you have a good stay.

Great location and ambience, nice rooms (pay for sea view, it is worth it), good tempetature and water pressure, incredible breakfast and service. No restaurant (too small operation), but well set cafeteria and bar. By far, the best artisan crafts shop in town.

We dropped by Sizigia for a drink. The owner was so friendly and welcoming, and we loved the atmosphere at the darling little cafe. A nice place to sit in the sunshine and watch the seagulls and boats pass by.

Lovely, small boutique hotel in lovely location in Castro. Great breakfasts and really helpful staff and a wonderful place just to sit on the deck watching the birds and scenes on the water. Might be quite noisy for some - lots of wood and noise can travel, bit we enjoyed our stay.

Sizigia is delightful. One of the oldest palafitos in Castro, that has been lovingly and beautifully restored. Everything natural using wood and reclaimed materials. Best breakfast on our trip! The staff are charming and super helpful. It’s a really special spot. Oh and the chocolate and raspberry cake is hmmmmm!!!

El hotel es hermoso, cómodo y la atención excelente. El desayuno es muy bueno, y la vista desde las habitaciones o el café son verdaderas postales de Chiloé. Mi única observación es el ruido de las habitaciones vecinas, al ser palafito hay poca aislacion lo que requiere que los huéspedes sea muy considerados con sus vecinos, lo que no siempre sucede. Si visitas este hotel, sugiero una estadía silenciosa para disfrutar el lugar.

Con una calidez exquisita, ambientación impecable, y una vista increíble, el hotel es absolutamente recomendable. Nos alojamos en una habitación con vista al mar, y todo fue tal cual lo soñamos. La cama súper cómoda, la blanqueria impoluta y las instalaciones muy acordes al lugar. Todo muy limpio. El desayuno es personalizado, abundante y muy rico. La recepción, y el cafe/comedor tienen tb una vista preciosa. Por último, la atención de su dueño y empleados fue inmejorable, atentos a las necesidades del huésped. Sin dudas uno de mis fav en Chile.
