"Während unserer Tour durch Salento machten wir eine Nacht in Castro Halt, entschieden uns dann aber aufgrund der Höflichkeit und Gastfreundschaft des gesamten Personals, eine zusätzliche Nacht zu bleiben. Sehr große Zimmer mit herrlichem Meerblick, ausreichend Parkplätzen (was im Salento oft ein Problem darstellt) und einem reichhaltigen, hausgemachten Frühstück. Sie verwöhnten uns mit frischem Obstsalat und frisch gebackenem Feigenkuchen. Danilo und seine ganze Familie haben dafür gesorgt, dass wir uns wie zu Hause fühlten ... sogar unser kleiner Hund 🐶😉 Sehr empfehlenswert!"

"Atemberaubende Lage. „Am Meer“ zu sagen, wäre untertrieben – es liegt fast im Meer. Ich habe in der Suite übernachtet und es war eine sehr positive Erfahrung. Sehr gut ausgestattet. Vom bequemen Bett bis zum voll ausgestatteten Badezimmer haben alle Zimmer Meerblick. Der Hotelstrand ist gut ausgestattet. Das Meer ist natürlich einfach wunderschön. Ein paar kleine Kritikpunkte bezüglich der begrenzten Auswahl beim Frühstück und den Snacks an der Bar sind zu vernachlässigen. Das Open-Air-Restaurant mit Meerblick ist wunderschön."

A Casa di Giordy B&B ★★★

"Casa Di Giordy verdient weit mehr als 10 von 10 Punkten. Wir verbrachten vier Nächte dort und wären so gerne länger geblieben. Die Besitzer, Assunta und Rosario, sorgten vom ersten Moment an dafür, dass wir uns wie zu Hause fühlten. Sie waren unglaublich zuvorkommend – als wir am ersten Abend den letzten Bus verpassten, boten sie uns freundlicherweise an, uns vom Bahnhof abzuholen. Jeden Morgen wurden wir von Assunta und Rosario herzlich mit einem Lächeln und einem reichhaltigen Frühstücksbuffet empfangen. Die Auswahl war riesig: Kuchen, Crumble, Kekse, Säfte, Kaffee, Tee, Müsli und vieles mehr – und wir bekamen sogar Proviant für unsere Tagesausflüge mit. Unser Zimmer war geräumig, schön und gemütlich und wurde von Assunta persönlich stets makellos sauber gehalten. Frische Handtücher und ein angenehmer Duft sorgten für ein behagliches Ambiente. Der Balkon bot eine atemberaubende Aussicht, und die Klimaanlage war perfekt für die Sommerhitze. Die Ausstattung war großzügig und durchdacht und machte unseren Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich. Als Besucher aus Australien hatten wir viele Fragen, und Assunta und Rosario haben sich unglaublich viel Mühe gegeben, uns zu helfen. Sie halfen uns bei der Anmietung eines Rollers, unterstützten uns bei der Orientierung, als wir kein eigenes Fahrzeug hatten, und Rosario fuhr uns sogar zu unserer nächsten Unterkunft in Otranto – und nahm sich dabei die Zeit, an malerischen Orten anzuhalten, damit wir die Aussicht genießen konnten. Wir sind Assunta und Rosario unendlich dankbar für ihre Großzügigkeit, Freundlichkeit und herzliche Fürsorge. Ihre Aufmerksamkeit und ihr Blick fürs Detail haben unseren Aufenthalt unvergesslich gemacht. Die Casa Di Giordy ist nicht einfach nur eine Unterkunft; es ist ein Ort, an dem man sich wirklich willkommen und gut aufgehoben fühlt. Wir kommen ganz bestimmt wieder – und wir vermissen euch beide jetzt schon!"

"This is a lovely, family run hotel in a stunning location. The hotel itself is simple and comfortable with a warm staff team for whom nothing is too much trouble. Steep stone steps take you down to the sea to swim in deep, clear waters. Above the hotel, the lovely town of Castro - home to the original temple of Athena - has a beautiful square, small bars and restaurants. Don't go expecting glitzy chain hotel sophistication but if you want a perfect spot to swim (in the sea or the salt water swimming pool), read under the pines and relax you could not imagine anything nicer. "We stayed at the B&B La Rosa Antica in Castro and had a truly pleasant experience. The property is strategically located: very close to the historic center and just minutes from the sea in Castro Marina, one of the most beautiful villages in Salento. The rooms are clean, spacious, and thoughtfully furnished. The cleanliness is impeccable, and the bed very comfortable. We appreciated the tranquility of the place, ideal for those seeking relaxation away from the hustle and bustle. Breakfast is a highlight: plentiful, with fresh, typical local products, homemade cakes, seasonal fruit, and excellent coffee. The owners, Maria and Luigi, are extremely kind and always available, making us feel at home from the very first moment. Mr. Luogo even went to the nearby town in the morning to get lemon cream and Nutella tartlets for breakfast. Super. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back. Furthermore, the quality-price ratio is excellent: the property offers comfort and authentic hospitality at truly competitive prices for the area."

"We stayed one night at the olive hotel in Castro. Our room was in fact on a terrace furnished with two bedrooms, two chairs and a table with a parasol, from which you could see a charming view of Castro Marina, a sea of smeralde green waters. The historic centre is easy to walk and spend a quiet day or evening in the rooms.The hotel managed by Mr. Luigi, very careful to all details. The breakfast served on an elegant terrace with always a view of the wonderful Castro Marina. At breakfast we eat the Salentino pasta, really good!! The cups with the hotel's logo are really elegant. Experience I would do to spend a relaxed holiday."
