Poste del Chiugi

We had three nights here after attending a wedding in Perugia. It is a really beautiful place with fabulous views, a lovely friendly, relaxed vibe and wonderful rooms and outdoor areas. I've given four stars for two reasons, firstly, we were there during a European heat wave and the temperature was 37° - 41°. This was way too hot for me and although I'm not a big fan of aircon, I really could have done with somewhere that was reliably cool - either the bedroom or the common room so that we could have escaped the heat. Secondly, the food was lovely, but I would have loved a more varied menu. More fruit and yogurts at breakfast, more big salads at dinner (I think again the intense heat was a factor here). All in all though, it was a brilliant place to stay - beautiful wine, gorgeous countryside and views. I would definitely recommend it and would love to go back, but probably not in mid summer!

We spent there 2 nights. After the first night we requested and paid to move to a superior room, because the bed in the classic room was very uncomfortable. Jennifer the employee there, was super welcoming, friendly and helpful during our entire stay. The view is great and also the pool was clean and well maintained. Wine tasting was enjoyable and informative. We had in the end a good stay but we found a bit too expensive for the value in comparison with other agriturismo places.

The Agriturismo is ideally located. Lago Trasimeno, Montepulciano and the various historic towns of Umbria and Tuscany are within easy drive. The Agriturismo is set in a beautiful landscape of vineyards and olive plantations. We opted for the meal package and had dinner at the restaurant on location. Very nice typical Italian cuisine. Regrettably the menu was a little limited for our 10 days’ stay. The kitchen was nice to offer occasional options outside the menu. Our lodge was kept clean with daily housekeeping. All in all a good stay.

Very disappointing visit. Charmless agriturismo with many rules like swimming pool closed at 7pm. On top some unexpected charges added to the bill at the end. There are much nicer agriturismo’s in the area. I hope they can improve for future guests.

Sono stato 3 notti con un gruppo di amici di 10 persone. L'agriturismo è davvero molto bello, immerso nel verde e dotato di tutti i comfort. Il personale è stato super gentile e disponibile; gli appartamenti puliti e accoglienti; il ristorante è davvero eccezionale.

Bellissimo soggiorno, abbiamo scelto l'appartamento country lodge con cucina, molto confortevole e a pochi metri dalla piscina e dal ristorante. L'intera tenuta è molto curata e tutto il personale molto disponibile. Ci torneremo sicuramente.
