Il Lavatoio Dimora Storica

We stayed here as part of a group tour. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Bathrooms were great! I really,loved that fresh water was available in the water tap so it was easy to fill out water bottles whenever we wanted. To get down to the main square there are some steps and paths but it is obviously harder coming back but as long as you have a reasonable level of fitness it’s OK. Breakfast was good and the staff welcoming and helpful.

Not a lot of choices in Castel di Sangro, but this was a place to enjoy - and recommend. The hotel was located at the top of the town with a lot of history, comfortable rooms, parking and a great view of the valley and mountains. Walking distance to the town centre. Although the reception had limited opening hours we got maps and a lot of useful advice about where to go for sightseeing and great meals. The breakfast was good and the lady responsible was really helpful, too.

Loved this place. Combined modern amenities with the history of being an old laundromat. Very accommodating with directions amenities and service. Delightful pastries for breakfast and a water dispenser for filling your bottle. It is at the top of the hill. Easy steps down to the center of town. It was difficult to find it at first as it is tucked in amidst the houses. The church bells are beautiful. We did not hear them through the night with ear plugs and windows closed

Second time visiting here after 11 years. Still as great as it was back then !! Love it Very clean and rooms are a good size . Very close to the main square where you can find a variety of restaurants etc. Breakfast is very good as well and staff are extremely nice Well worth a visit !!

Huge spacious and beautiful room with roof terrace, great à la carte breakfast (which deserves a real thumbs-up, it's one of the best I ever had - and that includes places outside of Italy - served by very friendly and helpful staff. My motorbike was shown to a box seat right next to the entrance, and couldn't have been any safer. The hotel already points out that the church bell rings every 15 minutes right next door. It didn't bother me and the soundproofing is very effective, but for people who sleep very lightly it could certainly become a problem. Personally, I'm used to this, so I wouldn't mind and it wouldn't wake me. But I thought I should mention it.

Abbiamo pernottato in 3 e fatto colazione durante tour in e bike in Abruzzo. Bella struttura, davvero. Sistemazione bici eccellente, sfruttando l’ampio locale dell ingresso, che ospita Inter alia un intero ex lavatoio pubblico. Abbiamo quindi avuto posto per caricare le batterie e gestire le bici con tutta comodità’. Ottimo. Belle le camere, bella la struttura, ottima la colazione. Il posto si trova in parte alla cattedrale di Castel di Sangro, in posizione eccellente. Più che consigliabile. Grazie.

Soggiorno eccellente!” ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ho soggiornato presso Il Lavatoio e ne sono rimasta entusiasta! La struttura è splendida, un antico edificio ristrutturato con cura e maestria, che ha saputo mantenere intatto il suo fascino originario. All’interno si possono ammirare ancora i lavatoi antichi originali, un dettaglio unico che rende l’esperienza davvero speciale. L’atmosfera è calda e accogliente, la posizione ottima per visitare Castel di Sangro e i dintorni. Un luogo che consiglio a chi cerca bellezza, storia e qualità: Inoltre, i proprietari della struttura sono gentilissimi sempre molto disponibili non vedo l’ora di tornare!

Siamo stati ospiti in questo bb per 14gg con mia moglie e mio figlio 14enne. La struttura è molto bella, ospita l'antico lavatoio del paese che si può anche visitare insieme alla mostra fotografica annessa. La nostra camera era molto spaziosa, con doppia finestra, un bagno confortevole e moderno con doccia SUPER! La colazione è servita ma ampia nella scelta e nella quantità. C'è la possibilità di fittare le bici elettriche. I proprietari e il personale della reception sono gentilissimi e sempre disponibili anche per informazioni su eventi in paese o escursioni nel circondario! Una menzione speciale va alle signore del servizio colazione, in particolare alla signora Rita che si è quasi sempre occupata di noi, simpatica cordiale e attenta! Ci torneremo sicuramente

Al centro di Castel di Sangro c’è questa splendida location dove siamo stati subito dopo il periodo natalizio. La camera pulita, comoda con i titolari Virgilio e Checco molto disponibili. Un saluto particolare alla gentilissima Rita, L addetta alle colazioni. Consigliatiasimo❤️
