Bedbugs I was bitten the office manager was awful she should be fired
I was referred to Best Western by The Lodge at Duke University hospital Randy the manager. After spending 7 weeks there I returned CaryvNC to look for housing,..
After the way I was treated I am confused what type of people live here. I filed a police event report. Plus a two report with Best Western customer service

This was total bait and switch. We reserved a 2-queen bed suite. They claimed no other rooms.
It was cold, dark, and smelled bad.
They offered to give our money back.
We accepted.

Had to wait a while to check in as no one was at the desk. Had to pry the drain open in the bathroom sink. Hair on the walls of the shower/tub. Water did not drain out of the tub while taking a shower.

The true highlight of this property is the staff. They’re nice, helpful and make you feel invited. The property itself was okay. Gym was small but clean and has equipment needed. The room itself was not great (just dirty and old and stains everywhere). The food around the property is so good. It feels safe as well as it is near two other busy hotels. Easy to get around!

Until about 6 months ago this way my fav place to stay when in the Raleigh area & I'm sure I'll stay occasionally in the future to see how things play out....but it's gone downhill significantly. The daytime desk ppl are unapologetically rude & EXTREMELY NOT helpful & NOT customer service driven AT ALL. The cleanliness has started to slip but I've stayed there frequently for more than 7yrs...it's still an excellent, convenient location & still a fairly decent price.

Bathroom was dirty. Fridge had food leftover. Room smell like cigarets. AC was very noise.

Dirty, mold, missing tiles. Hallways had trash and smelled of mildew. A dehumidifier was running in the hallway nonstop. Cigarette smoke in the hallways with cigarette butts on the hallway floor. Only one keycard worked. Room for 4 only had 2 towels. 2 queen beds with 1 small pillow each. Bed was lumpy with hard springs. No trash can in the room. Shower wouldn’t turn off completely so it dripped all night. Heater was broken. Dogs barking in the room next to us and in the hallway. Eggs were bad, actually rotten with brown spots. Bagels were stale and rock hard. No syrup for waffles. On our last day, housekeeping knocked 3 hours before checkout. I said I’d be out soon and they could clean the room then. She replied I needed to leave my door open for the rest of the morning even though I had 3 hours until checkout. When I left, housekeeping had several doors open with people’s belongings unsupervised. The front desk receptionist never smiled and acted like checking us in was a burden.

This place was horrible it was extremely dirty. The towels in the bathroom was used I asked front desk for new towels they said they were out. Then I asked for a remote due to one wasn’t in the room and she said they didn’t have any more available. I then asked to be switched to a different room she said they were booked. Then not to mention the huge water bug that freaked my kids and myself out. That was the last straw I left I was supposed to be there 2 night and only stay a couple hours I just couldn’t it smell like urine in the rooms and it was a drunk man in the lobby harassing me when I was trying to talk with the front desk representative. It was just horrible I had to spend more money on a different hotel.
