The Manor House at the Queen Victoria Hotel by Newmark

Sehr komfortables Zimmer in schöner Lage am Wasser. Das Personal war großartig und der Service außergewöhnlich. Wir waren vier Nächte in Kapstadt und verbrachten die erste Nacht im Manor House, wobei wir offen ließen, wo wir unsere letzte Nacht verbringen würden. Es hat uns so gut gefallen, dass wir beschlossen, wiederzukommen, da es sich wie zu Hause anfühlte. Die einzige Beschwerde war begrenztes heißes Wasser, da es so aussieht, als ob sich die 4 Zimmer im Herrenhaus denselben kleinen Boiler teilen.

Wir übernachteten in einer Junior Suite mit Bergblick im Manor House (Zimmer 1401). Die Aussicht auf den Tafelberg war exquisit und das Zimmer war angenehm groß und gut ausgestattet. Das Badezimmer ist luxuriös, mit viktorianischer Badewanne, großer Dusche, Waschbecken für Sie und Ihn, Handtuchwärmer und separatem, abgeschlossenem WC-Bereich. Das Schlafzimmer hat einen schönen Blick auf die Berge und das Badezimmer blickt auf den Parkplatz. Bei der Ankunft bat ich um eine Suite im 1. Stock (das Manor hat ein Erdgeschoss und einen ersten Stock), aber leider waren alle Zimmer belegt. Versuchen Sie, wenn möglich, ein Zimmer im Erdgeschoss zu bekommen. Mein Bruder wohnte im Queen Victoria Hotel, an das das Manor House angeschlossen ist. Sein Zimmer war 2000 Rand pro Nacht billiger als unseres, und er sagte, er hätte gerne die zusätzlichen 2000 Rand für den zusätzlichen Platz in der Junior Suite bezahlt. Etwas zu beachten, wenn Sie sich fragen. Insgesamt habe ich das Hotel geliebt. Es hat ein ausgeprägtes Boutique-Feeling mit passendem Service. Ich denke jedoch nicht, dass es für kleine Kinder geeignet ist, einfach weil es ruhig und gedämpft ist und eine heitere Atmosphäre hat, also bin ich froh, dass die Kinder dieses Mal nicht bei uns waren. Das Hotel liegt nur wenige Gehminuten vom Einkaufskomplex V&A Waterfront und dem Viertel entfernt. Sehr zentral. Es ist an einem belebten Ort, aber die Zimmer waren ausreichend schallisoliert und der Lärm hat mich nie gestört. Es tut mir nur leid, dass ich nicht die Gelegenheit hatte, die Spa-Services zu nutzen - unser Besuch war viel zu überstürzt.

We stayed at this hotel for a few nights during our trip around south Africa, there were only 4 rooms in the building we were in, they were exceptionally spacious with a fantastic bathroom and views up to Table Mountain. The hotel is literally a 2 minute walk around the corner where you have breakfast and there is a wonderful bar area with a balcony looking at the waterfront and the mountain. There was a small outdoor pool with a few loungers and a gym. We did not eat in the restaurant although the food looked good. This was a unusual boutique hotel in a great location minutes from the waterfront and bars/restaurants. The staff couldn't have been nicer, more friendly or courteous. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend of return if we come back to Capetown.

We had a wonderful room in the Manor House which is just set aside from the main Queen Victoria hotel. It was enormous and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is a very short walk into the centre of the Waterfront development. This is a major destination in Cape Town full of bars restaurants and shops. It is not quaint little streets or anything like that bit it is a majorly successful development attracting thousands of visitors each day. The hotel is far enough away to feel you have got away from the crowds but close enough to feel you are only a few minutes walk away. Pick up points for various tours are nearby.

We stayed at The Manor House for our last night in So. Africa. It was the perfect place to unwind after touring for three weeks. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We give it our very highest rating.

Excellent location, great views of Table Mountain. Cannot fault. Only negative was an expectation of a tip for the breakfast that was included in the hotel rate !

Excellent staff. The team couldn’t have been more welcoming and pleasant. Went out of their way to help always. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.

5 stars. Staff, food service, location, ambience, value all excellent.

Could not fault this stay in any way - excellent in all aspects throughout.
