Neighbourgood Hill

We had a very bad stay here and I do not recommend staying here, room was so different from the photos online. Our room was in the backyard which was quite difficult to reach with all our luggage- lots of stairs on the way, and no staff onsite whatsoever to help out. We checked in at 6:30 pm. We have seen no staff at all during our entire stay. The room has a tiny window but has no direct daylight, we felt trapped in some type of basement room. The walls are paperthin so you can hear the every move of the people in the room next door and above. This was terrible, especially from the floor above and people coming in and slamming the door. The room was not cleaned properly, especially the floors. There is no showerdoor, so the bathroom gets soaking wet when taking a shower. All in all very disappointing and will not come back.

Thank you for a wonderful stay. We visited Cape Town for Two Oceans Marathon and had a super time. The rooms are small but clean and location is great, the staff were friendly, and we loved our short trip!

I honestly would not recommend and stay again. My first room did not have a desk barn though online it is shown that the rooms provide a desk. Then I spoke to them and told them that I would need to work here as well and need a desk. As a response I got that I could simply work outside in the sun?? Sorry but the battery of my laptop would not make a single call in the sun. Regardless, I complained and asked for a desk so in the end they offered me a new room which had not even a window!!?? Sorry but this is unacceptable for this price and absolutely crazy that this is even offer this in my opinion. Nevertheless, you are signing in the beginning that you have to lock all your things (to be sure they cannot be held responsible in the end if something is missing) but then no room is providing any safe? In addition, it is very loud - regardless of where you go or in the rooms. Furthermore, you cannot really work there as you don’t find a spot for meetings (most of the guest are doing them next to the pool but if you actually need to work this is not the place to do so I guess.

On arrival rooms allocated in completely separate buildings away from each other. One did not have windows that provided natural as straight on to a wall. Had to complain significantly to get anything altered as the hotel 'fully booked'. The rooms advertised on *********** are their 'best' and not the ones allocated. The descriptions are incorrect as rooms do not open on to a terrace. Ours were in a building at the front with no outside seating. The rooms are not soundproof at all and we were woken multiple times during the night with people returning. Then woken by work men early.morening replacing fencing straight outside.our room. After complaining we managed to get 1 room next to our other one however this also had small windows that looked on to a wall. However, I could only have this for 4 nights and had to move again on final night. The rooms often had doors that didn't open fully and the taps/sockets were loose. The internal terrace and pool area was not inviting and therefore we chose not to spend any time at the hotel. The place itself needs improvement. The 'cafe' seemed to be intermittently open and unclear if only had vegan options. Would not recommend this hotel at all. Had to ask for rooms to be cleaned/serviced. Windows then left open and lights on. No fan or AC available, rooms small and stuffy.

Having come off a cruise at first I was disappointed, but the friendly helpful staff quickly won me over. Basic accommodation but really clean. Having the Vegan Cafe on sight was a bonus. I would class this as a very up market hostel. Suggest a few more sun beds, rack for cases and more cupboard space. Wifi good. Really handy for tour buses with a beautiful park to walk through to get there . Few good restaurants nearby. Def go back.

Very helpfull staff. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Communal areas clean and all necessary facilities provided. Outdoor space with pool and snack bar very well kept and staffed. Great value for money and super location. Highly recommended.
