We have been guests at PSI for the past 3 years, sometimes twice a year. Unfortunately, this last stay did not live up to previous positive experiences. For starters, Room 3 is to be avoided --- the bathroom is so tiny that you can barely turn around in it without bumping into something. (For reference, I am 5 feet and under 115 lbs.) The air conditioning didn't work and we weren't even offered a comp for the inconvenience, (They put in an ineffective window box air conditioner with masking tape with a gap wide enough to put your hand through it). There were ants in the room. At breakfast, there were no black teas available --- just 1 decaf with the rest being herbals. The breakfast menu has been the same for years now. It's eggs, pancakes or oatmeal - that's it. Also, the lock on the side door for us guests returning to the inn past 6:30 p.m. was broken, so we had to call the manager who arrived with a bit of an attitude for her inconvenience, but couldn't open the side door either. She had to go around to the front to use her code for entry but couldn't open the side door from the INSIDE! You just can't make this stuff up! PSI really needs to get their act together....such a shame for such a beautiful building. But poor customer service will always bring a bring a business to its knees. We cancelled our September reservation.
